They were thoughtful in asking if we wanted to have overgrown yew bushes in the back yard trimmed. The bushes were really tall and I wasn't expecting Kemora to take on the task. In the end, we provided the ladder and they did a great job of cutting them back to a manageable size. They also hauled away all the debris and that was unexpected.

The consultation and design were great. But, the communication dropped off mid-way through the quoting process and follow-up emails did not get responded to. Disappointing.

We are thrilled with the design and with how everything was executed. Krista came up with the design and came out several times to make sure everything was on par. The landscapers were hard workers and put in full days.

We are very happy with Kemora Designs. The stone cutting and materials used were top notch. Marisa took my ideas and added elements of her own that utilized our space to the maximum. Although the price was kind of steep, the quality of the materials and plants were excellent. Everything is thriving. We loved the work Arturo (cut the stone and laid the brick) and Kris (built the pergola) did. Everyone was friendly and answered our questions. There was a little problem with communication at one point. I had wanted some bushes removed that had not been visible during the original consultation. I was communicating with the Colleen, who sent the invoice, but she was not responding to my emails. I got in touch with Marisa who came over immediately and explained that Colleen was out on job sites all day and would not have been able to get back to me. The bushes were removed and the grasses were put in their place. The issue we had was with the staining of the pergola. The workers left streaks on the lattices and dripped stain the patio. My husband took pictures of the area that had streaks. The workers came back but the area,that was streaked was not fixed. However, this is a minor issue and we are overall very pleased the everything. Our yard has become our oasis and everything we envisioned it would be.

Asked provider multiple times to review my yard and provide an estimate for maintenance. Provider committed to doing so but never called back. Very unprofessional.

Excellent work done by 3 workers from Kemora Landscape. They were professional in their demeanor. Colleen was my landscape consultant who was very patient with the constant changes I made. (Must have been 3 changes from initial consultation to actual day of service) I will certainly hire them again!

Bought a one hour consultation coupon in February, hoping this would get a head start on Spring projects. Marissa ( who is very friendly and helpful) came out out and checked out the yard and garden, and promised to get out to us in April when the weather accomodated. This isn't their fault, but the Big Deal coupon was a complete waste of money, because I essentially "bought" what most service providers for free - an estimate for work to be done. They did not follow up in April as promised, and I had to call to get on their schedule. This was a challenge, and Kemora seems to have serious deficiencies with organization. Marissa came out again, we did the same walk thru, and promised to get an estimate to me in a few days, and put me on their Spring schedule. Never received an estimate, and I sent them another email asking for status, which they did not respond to. Very unprofessional. We had to find another landscaper well after the season started.

The sketch was nice, the bid was a bit pricey. (for what I was expecting) I did feel like the Kemora rep was only going to do what was specified in the Big Deal. I asked many general and specific questions and didn't get real answers. Most contractors are happy to talk about your house and give you a thought about this or that. At first, I thought I had a very new employee but later I began to feel like I was asking questions that weren't part of the deal. And if they weren't part of the deal she wasn't going to give me the time to answer them.

3 men showed up did the job in the allotted time. They were polite, they cleaned up and left.

they were origianlly hired to do a spring cleaning. by the time we could schedule something ( weather was a main issue) i had done much of the cleaning already, and instead they recommended just a maintanance cleaning. i had some specific requests for this cleaning. i emailed the list to their fromt office. although they are very resopnsive, and the work they did was good, it took 3 emails to get the guys to actually do the work that i was requesting. the office staff is great, and very quick to try to remedy things, but in the end, the crew manager had to send the workers back on the same day to finally finish the origianl request of trimming trees, and bushes. while i will use them again for maintenance, i think it will work better if someone can be home to oversee if you have specific things you need done.

I was pleased with their efforts. Their weeding wasn't detailed, but they did a solid job. Colleen was very helpful and professional in discussing my needs ahead of time. My only complaint is that she said she would submit a bid for maintaining my yard and my neighbors, but she never got back to me, and I found someone else. She seemed willing to discuss a flexible mowing schedule, rather than weekly, so I might call her for help next spring.

Within a matter of a few hours after purchasing the landscape and design consultation deal, we received a phone call to set up an appointment. Marisa came out and listened to our ideas and provided us with a landscape design that would fit out needs. She asked us questions as to what we envisioned and what she thought would work for us. We are DIY's so we told her that we would probably end up doing the work on our own and she did not try to sell us on anything other than the consult. Very impressive. We did ask for estimates for tree and lawn removal and her office was prompt in getting the information to us. All in all we had an excellent experience with Kemora Landscaping Designs and would consider working with them in the future. We used the landscape design from Kemora and due to budget constraints, did end up doing the work ourselves. Turned out excellent. Marisa's ideas were great and we get a lot of compliments on our design.

Showed up on time. After two weeks I emailed asking for the design plan and project estimate. Two days later I received drawn plans for the fron of the house. There was supposed to be two privacy gate there was only one. No design plan for the back of the house. No privacy gate for the back of the house on the estimate. Had to request design plan for the back yard. Very unprofessional.

Very pleased with this hard-working and friendly crew. They knew what they were doing. Finished the job in one day, which was surprising given the amount of planting which was required. Did bring in additional workers for finish the job. Would definitely contact them again if we had similar needs. The neighbors and those driving by (we live in a corner house) slow down to admire. I have been told it is a welcoming and friendly look which we now have. Definite curb appeal!

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. When they came out, they didn't know what they were supposed to do even though I had told them over the phone what I needed. I wanted them to dig up everything there because I had plants to plant there. They said they were not told what they would be doing. I told them that's what I wanted. There were 3 guys and I don't think 2 of them spoke English. I had to tell them everything to do and where to put them. It was no big deal. They were okay but not exceptional. I don't think they were here the whole 3 hours but there were 3 guys instead of 2 so I don't have anything to complain about. They did everything I asked. The person on the phone was very nice and I told them exactly what I wanted. It should be made plainer to the people coming to do the work. They were pleasant enough. I could only speak to one person but it was okay. It saved me time and trouble. The price was good. They were on time. I don't know if I would use them again.

The only thing I didn't like was it took some time for us to receive a quote but other than that the work was great. They were professional and provided good work and we may use them again in the future.

Spring clean up was delayed due to a number of factors by the vendor. Also, once crew came, they damaged a number of our plants with the indiscriminate use of their leaf blower. Also, they cut the grass way too short, even to the dirt level in some areas. We were billed for weeks of service that were never provided. We indicated our displeasure, and were given a refund on the work that they did not perform, and cancelled our service agreement with them.

Marisa asked what my price range was and made an initial sketch, but I guess due to her busy schedule, never followed up with a quote. I never heard back from her. I liked her ideas, and definitely would have considered working with her.

ain, demandRepresentative arrived promptly and spent about 1/2 hour discussing various options; she did a very rudimentary sketch and said she would follow thorough in a week or so. We heard nothing for months; when I finally called again, demanding at least the original sketch, they emailed an almost illegible copy of the original pencil drawing, with no plants named -- just circles and squiggles. While I realize this was not a lot of money, I still received nothing in return. Obviously, we never got to the work part, because this company so vigorously ignored us.

Overall it was a good experience. Marisa was very nice and appeared very knowledgeable. After hearing about our experiences in the garden she made suggestions for which plants/shrubs she thought would do best in our yard and provided us with a design sketch. The only reason I gave a low score for professionalism is that when we called the following Spring to discuss having the work done-- the company had no record of their visit or of our previous consultation.

The landscaping plan helped us assess options for landscaping improvement, but the estimate was too pricey and we ended up using other resources to get it done.

Marisa Gora, the owner of Kemora, is very friendly and professional, and understood our needs and our aesthetic right away. She had a vision that we never would have thought of, but it is just right for the space. Her design was excellent, and she was very willing to incorporate all of the plants we were interested in having. The estimate and drawing for the entire backyard (including hardscaping) was very complete and and although expensive, Marisa worked with us to break out a section of the larger plan that we could afford this year, with the idea of completing the full plan over several years. The amount of landscaping Kemora did for the money was well worth it and doesn't feel like just a chunk that is incomplete. This plan also accomodates the fact that we are gardeners and would like to add our own plants over time. Marisa understood this -- her design provides a great structure that we love, but that we can also add to on our own as we like. Colleen helped more with the logistics of planning the project, she is also really nice and professional. Both Colleen and Marisa were there on the day of the project to talk with us and finalize plant placement, direct their workers, etc. They easily made some last minute changes with no complaints so that we would be happy and the design would work as planned. All of their employees we have encountered are friendly, hardworking, and knowledgable--they checked with us as they worked to be sure we approved of placement of trees, shrubs and other elements. In addition, when a plant has died or not done well (only two last year), Kemora comes right out with a replacement free of charge. They have a beautiful website that shows the full range of their landcaping design-build capabilities. We are repeat customers at this point and will continue to work with Kemora as we develop the landscaping around our home. We get lots of compliments from friends and neighbors, and always recommend Kemora to them.
