Kemora Landscapes

I used them to remove a cement sidewalk and replace it with a winding brick sidewalk. They were professional, did an excellent job and finished ahead of schedule. We interviewed three landscapers, Kemora had the highest bid.

Owner planned out potential patio. She was very professional and experienced. Would probably not use without a discount coupon, given my modest budget.

It went very well. I had purchased an evaluation from Angies List in October and I got an appt. right away.. The girl who came out sketched her design and gave me a few options, like reusing some of the plants I had as well as purchasing my own rather than getting them through them. I loved the design and scheduled a date for the work to be done. It was raining that day and we had to reschedule. They pushed it back one day which I really appreciated; instead of rescheduling to some future date. They also gave me a credit for the price of the evaluation I purchased. They came out promptly on the rescheduled date with about 3 workers. Everything was done in a timely manner and I was really happy with the look of my "new" lawn.!

It went really well. We're planning on having them do some work for us. They came out when we needed them to.

Regraded ground to prevent rainwater/snow melt from running toward building foundation. Area was covered with riverstone and looks great. They were a little hard to get in touch with, but emails to the main office seemed to keep things moving better than phone calls to the person who did our estimate.

The provider performed yard clean-up. The lists of desired task, along with pictures, was given to the Kemora. Most of the tasks were performed satifactorily. A couple were not done likey because of time constraints.

I used them last year and they did a good job so I hired them again this Fall. It was dark when they finished so I didn't notice until the next day that they had failed to trim the bush in my front yard and had also failed to pull the weeds beside the garage. These were part of the work they did last year. I called to let them know the work was not done, however I never received a return call.

They were great. They were on time. They handled my special requests. They were awesome. They showed up first thing in the morning. They got the job done in less than an hour. The scheduling was perfect. Those guys were great and they are local to me. The guys that did the work did everything as I expected.

This is the second year we've had Kemora do our fall cleanup with an Angie's List "deal." They have done a fabulous job both years, and we will not only use them again, but highly recommend them. The office is VERY responsive, the work is completed timely and thoroughly and we're very pleased!

I purchased a yard cleanup Angie's List deal. They showed up on time, were quick with their cleanup, and left everything in good condition.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was fine. I didn't pay anything extra. I think she's very professional. She's very good.

It was okay. I think that it created too much business on their end, they couldn't handle it. I had trouble all the way through and they couldn't respond to my concerns so it was a little bit of a mess. They ended up doing work which they did wrong. They had to come back and redo a couple of things. When they came back to do the last round of planting, she actually took my drawing and she would never respond to my emails. I would have had them do more work but they never responded to me. I unfortunately recommended them to a neighbor and they never responded to them either. They just have pretty poor customer service.

I purchased a big deal coupon for this company. That was terrific. It was terrific. They did a really good job. I have a small back yard but I have a lot of pine trees, it just was a lot of work and they did a very good job without any directions. I was very pleased with them. It was a terrific deal, the amount I paid for the amount of work that was done was very good. I wanted to wait until all the leaves were down for when they came.

I purchased the "Big Deal" coupon on a Sunday evening. I was contacted on Monday to schedule my service. Speedy! The scheduler let me know that I didn't need to be home for the service to occur, as long as they had access to the yard. They came today, and WOW they did a great job! They really went above and beyond to make my yard look great. They removed some tree branches that we had stacked in a corner of our yard, defined some beds, and really got rid of a lot of weeds that had overtaken corners of our yard. I really appreciate the thoroughness of the job they did.

My wife received several quotes from several companies for the work that we needed done, which included removing some existing grass to lay 120 sq. ft of stone to create a patio, some tree trimming and putting in some plants. Kemora gave a nicely detailed quote and although the overall price came in high, we accepted the bid. Here's where we went wrong. One of the lines in the quote was for labor for putting in that patio. They put the quantity as 150, the item as LABOR and the price per that quantity as $12. We (incorrectly) assumed that the quantity would be referring to hours, since there was nothing else that made sense to us (we had asked for a 120 sq ft patio and the price for the stones themselves were just individual, not in square footage). We (incorrectly) assumed that since it would not take 150 hours to make the patio, the quote was just being overly cautious and that it would not cost as much to have the actual install in place. We absolutely take responsibility for not questioning why the charge was so high until after the fact. Anyway, the crew of 3 came out over 3 days and did about 30 man hours of total work to do all the necessary work. They also laid some new sod down because they had ripped up too much of the grass. Overall the patio looks nice, the tree cutting was adequate, and the new plants were put in where we wanted them. They also put in 150 sq. ft. of patio (15' x 10', instead of 12' x 10', which we had initially requested), although after going back and doing the math on how much stone they purchased, they did charge us for all 150 sq. ft of the various stones used to make the patio. And apparently that's where the quantity of 150 came from in the labor cost. At no point did they tell us ahead of time specifically that the patio that they would be putting down would be 150 sq. ft. As I said, we should have done better due diligence to question why the labor charge was so high and failed to do so. But charging $1800 for approximately 30 hours of work (technically, there were separate labor charges for the plants being put in and the tree trimming, so really, less than 30 hours of work) is outrageous. When we (belatedly) questioned the total after the work had been done, we said as much, wondering why were being charged for 150 hours of labor when only 30 hours were done. We were told that showing labor cost per square foot of patio install was standard in the landscaping business and that we should have known better. When we pointed out that that labor charge was outrageous--my guess is that the men who did the actual labor see nowhere near that $60/hr--we were told that that was the charge. So we paid the total, since we had signed the agreement and it was out fault for not questioning it further. Nonetheless, I would not use this company again for using what I feel was a sneaky tactic. Anytime a charge is written, the unit of measurement should be included, as it was for the other items on the price quote. UPDATE: It's been less than a year since this work was done and we are already seeing weeds trying to poke through the sand between the stones, even though we were told that it would at least 5 years before weeds would penetrate. I did read what the provider responded, and as I pointed out, we requested 120 sq ft patio, not 150 sq ft. If their notes claim 150, it is an error on their part. The patio size isn't the issue, but when we expect one thing and see another on the invoice, it's almost a bait & switch. Shame on us for not questioning it and we take responsibility for the additional charges. But the fact that the only item that had no unit of measurement was labor is really strange to me.

"Cleanup" was what the Big Deal was for, but I was COMPLETELY UNPREPARED for what the yard would look like when they were done. They did an AMAZING job with our long-neglected beds... I've been fighting my husband/kids to do yardwork for months & felt bad when I finally broke down to have this done. A ***huge*** weight has been lifted from my shoulders! - I should have hired them a LONG time ago. The yard looks the best it's been in a LONG time.

It was wonderful. Marissa came out and she was great. She was very knowledgeable and very professional. She is going to send the report but it was a great experience.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It turned out well. She was very professional and she knew her stuff. She did the sketch right there and she said that if I had any pending questions as far as distinguishing the type of plants to give her a call so she gave me her business card. She was available for the hour that we were supposed to meet. The price for the consultation was very fair. She knew her stuff. She had the know how and experience. She was very responsive to my questions. I didn't know what to look for and she gave me at least 3 options. I had to call to find out if she was on her way so she was a little late. She was great and awesome.

They arrived at 8 am as they said and finished at 5 for the first day. They will return tomorrow for mulching. All plants and trees were installed and well watered as was the ground cover. The design is very beautiful and the change in our back yard is amazing.

Marisa from Kemora Landscapes came to my home and spoke with me at length about my back yard. Her approach is very professional and low-key. We discussed how the back yard is used, and the landscape design that would work best for me and my family. She left me with a very artistic, hand-drawn design. I thought her ideas were great, I like the drawing, and I plan to hire Kemora Landscapes in the spring to bring the design to life.

It went well--they were very professional. Because of our budget, we need to wait.

Great. I received a consultation about the options that would work best for my house and my neighborhood and a detailed drawing that I can use next year when I plan to change the landscaping. Very professional, great listener, and had lots of suggestions that were new to me and would work great with my house. I was impressed with Kemora!
