+ -1 moreOne woman came for the consultation and she was very professional and helpful during the consultation. She listened to us and made suggestions and also estimated the price. I think there were 2 or 3 workers that came to do the work. I think they took about 1-2 days to remove all plants and debris and lay the grass down, possibly it took a little longer than they thought because it was raining one day. They seemed to work efficiently and carefully. Even after a very hard winter, the grass is still alive and growing very well! The yard and landscaping look very nice and are very easy to maintain.
Description of Work: The provider removed all rocks, plants, debris, and a fountain in our front yard and laid down rolls of grass lawn. They also bordered the lawn with bricks, landscaped the plant areas, and put up mesh on our fence so our dog can't get through the fence. We have a very small front yard.

We are still waiting to receive the estimate; they said up to two weeks, it will be two weeks tomorrow. We have had a pleasant experience so far and will likely work with Kemora if we get an estimate in time that meets our needs.

+ -1 moreIt was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. I spent additional because they also did the work. Overall they did a good job in the designing of the work. I was disappointed in the follow through. It seemed like I always got an email from a different person about the work they did in the fall. I just hired them to complete the work a couple of week ago and once again it was the same thing so I decided to go with another company. Their price was comparable.

+ -1 moreMy husband contacted them for the $49.99 estimate. My husband gave 3 or 4 reminders so we are not happy. We just ask them to either respond to us or give us the estimate because that was more than 3 weeks ago. They seemed to be good and they seemed to be flexible because we had a budget and we basically asked them what they could do within that budget. They were flexible to that. Usually they are looking for some big projects so it is just difficult to get people interested in anything less than a 5-figure project. We are not happy because we expected an estimate although they told us that we will get it, but we still don't have anything. They are pretty slow in responding. They came on time, but punctuality also means getting the report on time. We will not use them. We will contact Angie's List if they fail to reimburse us the amount because they were not responsive, and they have not done the estimate. I think we had a higher expectation because when they advertised that, they added the things that they were doing and if they are not delivered, you have to get it fixed even worse.
Description of Work: Kemora Landscapes came, and they were supposed to come back and give us an estimate on a landscaping project, but they haven't.

+ 0 moreTalk about dissapointing reality versus the Angie's List rating. I chose this vendor based on those rankings, and sure, they were ont-time and the team that came ot my home to perform the initial consultation were professional, but the result was downright unexceptional. For example, I had already interviewed, had received a proposal, and chosen another landscaping service and was two-weeks into the design, by the time I heard back from Kemora Landscapes! And the response itself was just an email - with no transmittal text or anything - just an attachment with a cost estimate that contained a lot of Latin names for various plants and shrubs with very costly prices accompanying them. No pictures, no description of what it will all look like when completed, no timeline - nothing but more or less a bill written in landscaper jargon. If you see an offer for a $49 consultation from Kemora Landscapes in the future, my recommendation would be to pass over it. You are simply wasting your money. The landscaper I hired did it for free. And did an incredible job, to boot.

The office promised that they will followup, but never did. I would like to ask for a refund on the above deal. Kemora claimed that refunds are issued by Angie's list customer service. Thank you. + -1 moreCalled for consultation, got a response about 24 hours - good turnaaround time. Consultations booked for about a month in advance. No weekend availability. Afternoon availability until 6pm, nothing after that. Seems like very minimal flexibility just to get a foot in the door for those of us who work during the day. Friendly on the phone and it seems like they are busy enough that it probably doesn't matter to them. Reviews seem like they do good work but clearly they're quite busy and probably not a great option if you have a busy schedule as well.

+ 4 moreThey are great. Marisa, the owner, was here to mark the new plant beds and place all in the appropriate place. There were up to seven guys here doing the installation and it was done in 3-1/2 hours. They were amazing in the clean-up, even spraying down the patio to get rid of dirt. I am thrilled with my new view from my porch. thank you Marisa, Colleen and Deanna. They came back today to mulch as I needed to have sprinkler heads moved. Wow! The job was great Nd the clean-up amazing. They went around with a blower to make sure no mulch was on the shrubs or trees. I can't say enough about them!

+ -1 moreI asked Angie's List for a refund. I would also like Angie's List to vet the vendors they offer deals from more carefully.
Description of Work: I made an appointment on April 24 for a landscaping consultation to take place on May 12 using an Angie's List offer. The email confirming this appointment said "Ok, great. I'll put you on the schedule." as part of the email, and then went on to ask me for my address and other contact information. I did not reply to this email until the weekend before the appointment [my bad, I was busy & kept putting it off.] When I called to confirm the appointment, I was told by the same office manager who had sent the confirmation email that I did NOT have an appointment. Since I had not responded with my address, they did not make the appointment. At NO time in the nearly 3 weeks between when this appointment was made and when it was supposed to happen did they contact me and warn me the appointment would not be kept unless they had all of my information. When I kept repeating the phrase "I'll put you on the schedule" to the office manager, she took no responsibility for their part of the miscommunication. At one point, I was apparently repeating the phrase "I'll put you on the schedule" in a louder and louder voice and was told by the office manger in a patronizing tone of voice that we could not continue the conversation if I did not stop yelling at her. At this point, I asked if there was an appointment available tomorrow, was told there was not, and informed her I'd be seeking a refund from Angie's List. It's planting season. I can't put this off any longer. At no point did the office manager apologize or recognize my frustration and disappointment.

Description of Work: I used Kemora Landscapes for spring cleanup. They did a number of different things around. I have a small city lot. They probably pulled some weeds. They just did some general maintenance and used it to get a lot of residual junk out.
