K G Doors

Called Saturday morning after door stopped working, came by at noon, replaced broken motor/drive in less than an hour. Excellent service!

The estimator was very professional and gave me a quote on the spot for the installation of a new garage door. He was running late, but called me to let me know. Two days later, I had a new garage door. They were patient even when my dog decided that the installers shouldn't be in the garage(sorry!). Fast, easy and pros.

The spring on our door broke. The repairman was scheduled for the same day when I called. He arrived during the promised time, and quickly repaired the spring. He examined the electric door opener and adjusted it and pointed out where we might have a future problem, but did not push to replace it now.

Our transformer blew right after a call to K G Doors about replacing our transformer. We had hired the company before for general gate maintenance, and although we had had an antenna installed, our remotes were still not working properly. The problem was that the product as delivered from our developer had a "Keystone" receiver and a "Lift Master" unit. Josh, the owner, was very prompt and on-time for the appointment. He couldn't replace the receiver until the transformer was ordered from his distributor. The next day, he returned and the transformer promptly blew. He returned the transformer, at no cost to us, and returned the following day and replaced the transformer and receiver. He returned one more day to program the remotes. The service was thorough and excellent, and the gate works very well now (it's nice to know that when the remote is clicked in any direction of the back gate, the gate now quickly opens). Josh was really thorough in seeing this job through, and, as the owner of the company, made 3 of the 4 trips himself. The cost of the project seems high, although the majority of the expense was the condo's purchase of 14 remotes (14 @ $35.00). The transformer was only a $100 and the receiver was only $75. Having just worked with K G Doors a month earlier, Josh did not charge us an additional service/visitation charge.

The technician came out within 3 hours of my initial call. The technician worked, in my opinion, extremely fast as he did the work. He was done in less than a half hour. He was friendly and courteous. I could not have hoped for a better result.

Excellent. I called to schedule an estimate on Friday, on Saturday they came by and told me what needed to be done and the price and on Monday they did the installation. It was $320 for parts and labor, which I thought was reasonable. If I had tried to do it myself, I definitely wouldn't have done as good a job as they did. I highly recommend them.

If Angie's List offered a (+/-) option, I would give this company a B+. The service was prompt and efficient, the young representative was personable and professional, and the price was really great. The reason that this company does not warrant an "A" is the fact that I had to call to remind the company that the antennae was not delivered and installed within "a day or two," as promised by the worker. However, one day after my reminder call, the worker had returned the next morning, with a sheepish apology (sorry, I forgot about you!). The antennae was quickly installed and works well. Our condo association would definitely hire this company again!

They arrived, they fixed the wrong thing and said they'd be back, but never did.

I called KG Doors and someone came out within two hours. The serviceman was very professional, worked quickly and made all the necessary repairs and did some maintenance work. Our garage door now operates very smoothly and quietly. I was very happy with KG Doors and will definitely use them again.

Excellent! I called at 8:15am and he arrived at 9:45 to open the door. The springs were replaced and the entire door lubricated and was finished by 10:30!

Our garage door wasn't working, possibly something wrong with the motor or track. Called for an estimate, thinking they would be able to come in a couple days, Josh was there in an hour and a half! Said we needed to change the wheels on the track and switch out a gear in the motor. I was so impressed I said do it, right there on the spot! He had all the parts and was done in less than an hour and I was happy! Gave 5% off for an Angie's List coupon too.

Once the order was placed with KG doors, they installed the next day after they received the door (less than 3 weeks). The 2 man crew arrived on time and cleaned up after themselves.

Called company Saturday morning and they were out at house in the afternoon. Immediately saw problem and replaced broken springs on garage door. Also adjusted openers and reset limits. Work was conducted efficiently and serviceman was friendly and professional. I highly recommend them.

He showed up promptly and got right to work, he was very personable and great to work with. He is also reasonably priced. I would definitely call him again if I had any problems with the door and would highly recommend him to others.

They did a very good job and they did everything they said they would. I was satisfied with the work. Provided the service and estimate that they promised and did the job quickly.

Scheduling the appointment was easy over the phone and they were willing to come anytime I wanted. Josh arrived early and knew immediately what he had to do. He quoted a very reasonable price and offered to do the work right away. 45 minutes later my garage door was working perfectly. I will definitely use K G Doors again next time my door needs service or replacement.

We called 3 different companies to get estimates on our garage door that was broken. The other two companies gave us estimates between $600-$750 which required us to replace the entire garage door. KG was the only one who gave us an estimate that would not require replacing the whole door and just the panel that was broken. This saved us about $300. They promptly came out the same day we called for the estimate and when we called the for the job were able to do it the next day. They gave us an arrival time of 12noon, but called us that they could come an hour early. We appreciated this because we did not have to spend half the day waiting. They did the work in about an hour and gave us recommendations on how to maintain the door. The workers were courteous and helpful.

Great job!!! Great service. They came out when they said they would to give an estimate. Scheduled work and done timely and extremely clean. After the job we had trouble with our opener (twice.) Both times they were able to fit us in same day after wrapping up other scheduled jobs. Not enough good things to say about these guys!!! Will continue to call them with any garage troubles from here on out!!!!

Came out the next morning, offered to come earlier. Finished the work in half an hour. Quick and painless solution at a reasonable price.

We were heading out of town for a week on Monday and part of our garage door came off the tracks on Sunday evening. It was inoperable and would not close. We called Josh at 7:30 on Sunday night and explained the situation. He arrived at our house at 8:15 and the door was fixed by 9:00. Not only did he fix the problem, but he noticed that when the door was installed (two years ago) by our contractor, some things were done incorrectly. He went ahead and fixed those issues at no extra charge. Our door used to make this hideous noise when it closed, which always freaked out our dog, but now it hums when it closes. Josh is fabulous and we would recommend him and his company to anyone.

I'm thrilled with Angie's List. I have gotten the best workers from here. And once again with Josh and Mike. I'm into small companies, no middle men to pay. These guys are starting out their business well, best prices and giving great customer service. They came when they said, and were in and out within an hour and a half.

In response to our initial call for an estimate - after trying a few other highly rated Angie's List companies, who did not get back to us in a timely manner - Josh came out right away, gave us an estimate, and we hired him. The price was reasonable, and he did a great job. The garage door works well and everything looks good. I would recommend him to anyone seeking similar services.

Within an hour, Josh arrived. He was very polite. Examined the problem, and quickly figured out an improvement to attaching the spring into the rafters. He had it completely repaired in under 40 minutes and the garage door has never sounded or operated better.

Great so far. Door works better than it has in years.

I was in a major jam and Josh really bailed me out. I called early in the morning on Saturday and he came by on Saturday late afternoon. Unfortunately, it turned out I wasn't ready with all my repairs that needed to be completed so he needed to come back. He managed to work me in on Monday afternoon, AGAIN on super short notice. He is very professional; he had all the parts and tools we needed right on his truck. Josh even sawed off a frozen padlock for us from the garage back door. I will definitely use Josh for my garage repairs and maintenance in the future. A+++
