The initial installation went quite well. Hanrahan provides a lifetime warranty on labor and seemed liked an upstanding guy at installation. However, we just had a piece of flashing fall off recently. When I first reached out, he remembered me and said he'd be over to look at it. He didn't show several times and has now stopped accepting or returning my phone calls.

Hanarahan uses day labor. While the workers are conscientious, they require oversight because they are not trained roofers. They attempted to be as tidy as possible performing what was an admittedly messy job. However, on the day they removed all of my old roofing material, they did not finish re-shingling the roof. They actually left part of the house exposed to the elements. Since it was July, I might not have known a portion of the attic was left open, except that torrential rains came down that night and so much water poured into my daughter's bedroom that we had every bucket in the house lined up to catch the rain. Her artist-applied wall painting and ceiling was ruined. I called Hanrahan the moment the rains came in at 3:00 am. He did not answer his phone. I called at 4:00, and 5:00, and finally at 6:00 am, he answered and said he would get to my house as soon as he could. He arrived with workers at 9:00 am. When I told him what had happened, he lost the kind, avuncular persona he uses to get you to sign a contract, and he railed at me for asking him how his workers "could have thought of leaving my house unprotected". He became frighteningly loud and angry in defending his men, so much so that, since my husband was not home, I hesitated to even allow him into the house to see the damage which had been done. He offered no remedy to the interior water damage, he simply said it would not happen again as his workers were nearly finished with the job. After they completed the work I wrote to Hanrahan that I would deduct $2,000 from the total in light of the damages I suffered. He did not object, nor did he ever respond. Years after that experience, I am still suffering water leaking into my house as a result of the inferior job Hanrahan and his people performed. I have had two more roofers examine the work since then, and, unfortunately, without tearing the roof open again, it is impossible for anyone to resolve the problem. I could never, in good conscience, recommend this company to anyone.
