+ 0 moreJohn was referred to me by my realtor who used him in her home and sent him to some of her clientele. That was enough for me. I needed a washer & dryer installed in my condo before I offer it for sale. I paid John 50% down and John picked up the washer & dryer and delivered it to the condo, the condo association refused to allow him to do the work due to 3 negative reviews on Yelp. I fought the association in an effort to allow him in but to no avail. It has been 3 weeks since I had to break the final news to John. We agreed on a fair cost for delivery and he told me he would send me the down payment soon. I have sent reminders and always gotten promises. Without a proper settlement, he will not be referred by my realtor (who he has worked with previously) and a letter similar to this will be posted on multiple social media sites and also sent to the Better Business Bureau. + 0 moreThe first check was for $2065, as a deposit. Then he asked for another one for $1500. He didn't have a ladder tall enough to get to the roof, so he came in through the house and climbed out my bedroom window (which meant he cut the plastic that was covering the window). After giving him money, he said he couldn't do what I was asking for, but would do things his way and do what he wanted. He wouldn't give me my money back. I have complained to the BBB and have had the attorney general contact him to give me my money back. That was 3 weeks ago, and he has not responded. I have never seen any materials as proof that he has used my money toward this project.
Description of Work: I hired him to replace the bricks with siding on the exterior of my home. I showed pictures and talked with him about what I wanted done. He agreed to my needs and we had a contract.
