Description of Work: I purchased 8 new constructions windows from Jet. The overall project was a disaster. They finished the windows downstairs and as they were starting the second floor they noticed water damage in one of the windows. The subcontractor convinced my wife that all the windows would be like this and we would need a new roof. We have a mansored roof. So we drew up a second contract to do the roof first and then do the windows. These subcontractors had no idea what they were doing in both the roof and window install. The minute they started tearing off the roof both my wife and myself had a feeling that were about to get screwed. 7 months later we have a leak from the roof and windows. Jet windows came out and blamed it on the roof. Roofing contractor who is also his window subcontractor wont call us back. We have a 5 year warranty on the roof. Jet windows claims his subcontractors are the best trained and go to training from Marvin and Pella. However when we go back to see how they were instalaled numerous steps were ommitted in the installation of all windows. Lack of insulation and a moisture barrier were not used in any windows. We called Marvin windows to see if these guys even had a certification from them and then told Jet windows we called them and instead of showing us the certificates they just ignore our emails. In the end it will cost us another 5k from a legitimate Marvin dealer to fix their mistakes on windows and another 5 k to fix the roofing issues.
