We moved into our office on June 1. The colors were horrible and not terribly well painted by the former tenant in the first place. We wanted to use Jeff as soon as possible. He was booked for the next two weeks, which was going to be a problem for us, as we didn't want to load in all our furniture and unpack and then have to move everything again for the painting. He graciously offered to work over the weekend to accommodate us. It was not an easy job. We have space in a 100 year old industrial building and the walls are probably about 14 feet high. One wall is brick and riddled with holes and other inconsistencies and had a color on it that was hard to cover. He and his partner were extremely professional, knowledgeable about paint types and their pros and cons; clean and fast! It was a completely painless process from start to finish! They even let us borrow their ladder, as we are a brand new start up company, until we could secure one of our own. The only downside, and I can't even really call it a downside, is that he took several weeks to invoice us. I highly recommend Jeff and his team. He also does amazing restoration work as well.

He has done all of the cabinetry in our kitchen. He has already done the kitchen on the first floor, cedar lined our closets, built out our dressing room, done my whole office, and built a credenza and file cabinets. He does radiator covers and book cases too. He can do anything. He is absolutely fantastic and meticulous. He is in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin; we think so much of him that we get him to drive from Fond du Lac to Chicago to do our work, and we are willing to pay for that trip, because he is very good. We would rate him highly and would continue to use him in the future; in fact, he is currently doing the kitchen on the second floor.

The work is outstanding. I'd sum up Jeff's approach as meticulous, high-quality, and excellent value. We had just bought and moved into this 115-year-old house in a historic district. Jeff did all the paint work. He had to coordinate with an electrician, who was installing some new lighting but whose proposal did not include repairing the necessary holes, as well as a floor contractor. Jeff's part of the work took a few weeks, partly because at that time he was working on his own and partly because we changed our minds about the colors in a couple of rooms. He was quiet. He listened to us and did his best to accommodate our concerns along the way. For example, we had a new baby and worried about paint dust. Jeff tarped and swept up carefully. Not only that, he called a knowledgeable friend for advice--which he relayed to us without bias or shading--and went out and bought some testing kits and tested sample paint chips from our window jambs. It turned out there was lead in there, and we appreciated the extra care he took to minimize the dust and chips while he worked. As for the workspace, he cleaned up each day to a T. We never had to stumble over things, which was remarkable, given how many different parts of the house he had to work in. No doubt that added to his workload but he moved his ladder, buckets, etc. each day without even mentioning it. Jeff took his time. He has an exceptionally steady hand with the brush and that enabled him to cut the edge-lines nice and sharp, and to do some fine detailing that, frankly, I haven't seen from other painters I've hired in the past. His price was absolutely fair, and he was clear and straightforward about the proposal. It was a pleasure working with him. The main thing deserves repeating: Jeff's work is outstanding.
