Description of Work: Tore down dilapidated old back porch and build phenomenal new porch Michael freedman was very personable, patient and worked with me. The architect, l apologize for forgetting his name, was very helpful and accomadting . Eddie and his crew were remarkable. They worked though the ruffest Chgo weather thougout the winter. The only draw backs were the departments of Chgo. City permints and inspectors. Eddie and his crew dealt with they with grace and dignity, even though it put them behind. I can't say enough good things about this entire group. I definitely will recommend them and use them again. THANKS.

Description of Work: I contacted J Sitko to get an estimate on a porch tear down/rebuild. They were punctual and came out and gave me an estimate with days of seeing the porches. They were competitive in pricing but we decided to go with another company.

Description of Work: Jack was great, came out and did a wonderful job. We had garage roof work done, and Jack's crew was able to take up our deck without any damage to our existing pergola. It was cheaper to get a new deck than store the old one and replace, and the new deck looks great. Had a little confusion with the Angie's List coupon being taken off the final price, but once that was cleared up, have nothing but praise for the work!

Description of Work: Owner arrived on time to look at project. Said he would send an estimate via email. Contacted them twice by phone since May 5 and have had no reply or estimate. Because the coupon was for a new porch construction, they probably couldn't honor the coupon for a tear down and construction of a landing with six steps. That was my mistake. Would have been nice to have a reply- regardless.

Description of Work: My husband and I were very pleased with Sitko Construction. The crew was very serious about their job and very professional. Mr. Fredman kept us informed so communication was exccptional. I would definitely recommend them.

Description of Work: I called Sitko during the previous week and an appointment for appraisal for a deck replacement was made for 9:00 AM on Tuesday, April 9th. That date and time came and went without any word from Sitko. There was no call to inform of lateness, cancellation, disinterest in the job - nothing. When I called to cancel after waiting around for one hour, I got an abrupt "I'll tell him." No apology, not even an explanation. This is no way to run this or any business. The time of customers, who by the way are the ones paying for services, is valuable, too. Good luck.

Description of Work: Mike Fredman does all of the scheduling and follow through, after the project is completed. He is very professional and diligent. The work was completed in about 3 days. I was impressed. We had a really old back porch that was leaning, it was about 5x5.There was a roof over the porch. We had the roof removed and extended the deck to 10x10. It came out really nice. I was initially concerned about some wood that had some cracking (in one of the posts). The worker was out the following day and installed another metal bracket and discussed with me any other concerns or questions. Reliable, good work. i really have no complaints. They did really good work and i'm happy with our new deck. Thank you.

Description of Work: Hired J Sitko due to Mike Fredman's professionalism, but quickly found out that he is more the operations manager. When I had complaints or needed to get a hold of the contractor I was on my own. Put in a wood fence, brick wall, gutter replacement. The only thing that turned out ok was the brick wall. The gutter had to be re-done at least 2 times and is still not functional. The wood fence had to be redone, but eventually turned out to be fine. The door/lock on the wood fence also had to be re-done and is barely functional. Although he came back to re-do what was not to my expectations on some things, the hassle of having to call multiple times to remind him to come by, send people, etc was not worth it. And, as I said, the reason i am back on Angies List is that I have to hire someone else to come and fix the gutter he was not able to take care of after multiple efforts.
