Fantastic. They were very professional and did a superb job. It was worth every penny. The crews cleaned up everything -- did not leave one item behind. They were accessible and returned our calls during the week-long process right away. Our roof looks really good, as do the dormers. I highly recommend them. We had put off getting a new roof for years because we were so worried about getting ripped off. Wish we'd found these guys long ago rather than worrying about the snow caving in the roof! I cannot say enough about the great job they did in a quick turn-around for a reasonable price. We made the right call in having them do the dormers, which look top notch.

Highly recommended. Jack was a pleasure to work with. He was on time for the interview and performed a comprehensive evaluation. His bid was the most economical. His proposal, the most clear and detailed. My questions were answered promptly and politely. The workmen were very professional and polite. The condominium association was very pleased with the quality of work performed and has hired Jack for another job.

Jack was great, and J L Contractor Services did really, really well. They were clean, fast, efficient, and professional. Basically, they embody all of the good characteristics you would want in service provider. I plan calling them again in the future.

After the July/August rains, our chimney began to fall apart. Jake responded quickly and effectively removed the existing chimney and debris and had a new one up within a day. His crew even came out and repaired parts of the roof that had been damaged when the chimney began to crumble. I would recommend JL highly, this is the second time I've used Jake - he's quick to respond, honest, and does great work. I couldn't be happier with his services.

I highly recommend J.L.Contractor Services. Jack arrived right on time for our first meeting. He inspected the problem areas, discussed options and wrote a proposal immediately. Jack answered my many questions, revealing his vast knowledge of construction. He readily agreed to hold off work until my summer vacation, when I could be home all day. Before the summer arrived, I made several changes on my order and Jack always cheerfully rewrote the proposal. There were other delays (my vacation etc) but Jack never complained. Finally, I was ready for the job. Jack’s team arrived on time and quietly got to work. They were polite, hardworking and efficient. They honored my requests and checked to be sure that work was going according to my specifications. At one point, I expressed concern over a particular tuck-pointing color. Jack had his crew change the color to suit me. Every night the men cleaned up and hauled off debris. Jack gave the roof a 10yr warranty. A month after the job, Jack sent someone out immediately when I called about debris in my chimney cleanout. He backs up his work!

Absolutely professional, attentive, and responsive... Jack and his staff possessed all of the characteristics I appreciate in a service provider! They did great work and were timely. The only small criticism I have about this provider is that the cost was on the high end of the various quotes I had received. HOWEVER, I'm glad I selected this team! The project cost came in at exactly what was projected, and the peace of mind of having a great service provider was well worth the higher cost. I'd definitely hire this service provider again!

Jack and his crews were professional, prompt and got the job done in a quick and efficient manor. Really solid work. Super impressed by the communication Jack provided each day of the job. Good on clean up each day too. I would totally hire this company again and have already recommended them to a friend.

Great job! His price was the best out of 4 estimates. We knew going in that we may have to spend more money because the previous builder did an awful job. We did have to spend more but Jack was straight forward before we started in saying "We don't know what is under the old chimney so costs may change" He explained any issues that came up and worked with me on the costs. It passed inspection and it looks great! The old one was collapsing due to the way it was built. I had another contractors pass on the job! Jack took it on and did what we needed. He used some parts over to save us money.. A+

Their quote was in the middle of the pack in terms of price, but they were available more quickly than the cheapest tuckpointer and had less attitude. They showed up for the estimate when they said they would, showed up for the job on time, finished within a day and were friendly and offered advice on other things that we could have other companies fix. As a result, the house looks much nicer than it did before they arrived. We are very pleased.

I have used this contractor for four jobs and each was performed flawlessly. The last was for a new roof on our three story brownstone in the WrigleyVille area. Even though his price was slightly higher than other estimates, I still chose to use Jack because of the three other fine jobs he did for me. The roof job proved no exception. Outstanding!!!! On time, extremely professional and great communication. During the process we had quite a bit of rain and there was some water damage but Jack handled this minor glitch in an extremely professional manor. I give his firm the highest rating and will use him again should the situation arise.

We are extremely pleased with the work. The crew came in the morning and stayed till all the roofing work was done that evening. The next crew came several days later (at our request) and did the gutters. They were all pleasant to deal with, efficient, and did a great job of cleaning up. Our roof and gutters look great and our vents are working better than ever.

The job was above board. It was wonderful. The work was wonderful and detailed. They did an awesome job. His crew was great. I would highly recommend them.

The job took approximately a week to complete, it probably would have been shorter but two of the days it kept raining on and off and the crew had to stop and start. The grinding took the longest to do, the mortar goes pretty quickly. It is a very dusty and messy job but the crew swept and vacuumed outside each day. They do need to plug in their grinders so it is a good idea to have someone home. The first few days we were blowing fuses. Jack and his crew are very knowledgeable and happy to explain any questions asked and made sure we were happy with the work done.

Jose Luna refused to fix their mistakes. Jack from J L CONTRACTOR SERVICES was reasonable and on time. I would use him again. He fixed everything that needed to be fixed and said it should be good for a while. He provided his card and I would definitely use him again when I do have to do a roof in the future. So far, everyone I have gotten from Angle’s List has been terrific.

They were courteous. I remember them because they came and provided an estimate very quickly. They were very responsive. I would consider them for another quote in the future.

One bock on the window cracked last winter and he came out and replaced it. His concrete work was good, and it looked great but the concrete is already flaking at the edges. It’s a little disappointing; it seems like the quality of concrete wasn’t the best. He did come back last year to fill in a spot I had a problem with. I haven’t contact this year yet to do any fixes. He was responsive and price was fair. I probably wouldn't use him again for concrete work though.

Overall, Jack was punctual, professional, and did a great job.

the weather delayed us for several weeks...a wet summer, but i was grateful that Jack was being very careful to have at least 3 full days without a chance of rain. once they started they worked really quickly and hard for about 2 weeks. i am very pleased and will call them again for my siding, etc.
