Mr. Bates arrived on time with all the tools and parts he needed to do the job and replaced our aged ejector pump in under an hour. We've subsequently run our washing machine through several cycles, and everything appears to be in good working order.

I contracted on a new house and J&B Plumbing was hired by the seller to repair some inspection issues. The charge was $250 - paid by seller. Seems reasonable. During the walk through it was obvious that one of the problems was not fixed. J&B Plumbing charged the seller another $200 for a 10 minute job. Not so obvious are 2 slow leaks that were on the list but not fixed correctly, causing damage. Called J&B Plumbing yesterday (supposedly 24 hrs) to see if they would guarantee the work and they have not responded. Update 2/9 - J&B Plumbing arrived unannounced. Hopefully fixed one of the leaks. Changed the drain stopper mechanism in another sink. It still did not hold water - was told it was a cheap part made in China and that's all he had available - so basically not fixed.

We have an in-town in the city in a high rise and we attempted to pull the toilet and replace with a new one. But there was nothing to connect to between the sewer line and the new toilet. The previous install was not up to code and could have created huge problems in the future. Called J & B as I found them on Angies List and noticed they had 24 hour service. Called at 6:30pm on 12/29 and they were able to come at 8am the next day. Jeff said he had never seen anything like this before. He called a supplier for parts, left for about 3 hours and came back right on "guestimated" time and fixed the sewer connection point and installed my new toilet! While the price was a lot, that's our first experience in the city, high rise and all. Nothing is quite what it my be at home in suburbia. Jeff and his helper were great! Friendly and honest.

Jeff and his guy were awesome! They were significantly less expensive than the other quotes I got for a hot water heater replacement, and they were able to do the work almost immediately. They were in and out of my house very quickly even though the installation was a lot more challenging than I had made it appear. My water heater was over 10 years old, and they've changed in size and shape since mine was made, but Jeff and his guy were able to remove all the plumbing from the furnace and water heater and replace it so that everything worked perfectly. On top of that - he called me the next morning to ensure my shower was hot and that everything was working perfectly! Thanks a lot Jeff - I'll definitely use them again for future plumbing needs - they do everything!

He was terrific - showed up on time, was courteous, explained everything to me in a manner that I understood. Answered all my questions, was patient - even great with my kids. I never right reviews but was really impressed and plan to use them again for all related plumbing issues.

Very pleasant on phone and in person. Called an hour after scheduled time to say they were running late and came 15 minutes later. I needed to go by then so couldn't interact much and observe work. According to plumbers, used several size cutters to clean out to man hole, about 35 feet total. The deal I bought said included televising but no indication that took place. I won't lose sleep over it. The usual dark sewer water and then corresponding stain left on sidewalk. I was away so couldn't wash it off before drying.

I called to ask if they were available to come take a look at our backed-up toilet, and they showed up 30 minutes later. Super fast! They came in, and were done in two minutes. Very friendly, professional and efficient. The only thing I would comment on is the process of setting up the appointment. Clearly I reached them on a mobile phone, and they handed the phone back and forth between them to gather my info. I never knew if they were talking to me or each other, and the result was that they went to the wrong address. Even after calling me back to confirm my address. Luckily I saw them at the neighbor's door, so all was fine. But something to keep in mind when scheduling with them.

I was relieved! I had left a message Feb.27 stating the problem and what I had been told may need to be performed. He called early a.m. to the number I had left on my message, and he said they were in the neighborhood and if it was okay could he drop by now. I was available so said yes. Hew as here within 10 minutes as was his ETA. I asked him before he crossed the threshold what his 'call' charge was and he stated $125, which after speaking with several other licensed lumbers yesterday is a typical charge in the city. He told me almost immediately that most condo maintenance personnel do not want the liability of plumbing toilet issues etc. and that he was pretty sure all this sou stake was an auger to fix it not complete removal of blow, wax ring and cost of reinstallation. He was right. It was a quick fix and he had the equipment so I was very pleased. After 4 days of plunging and praying gravity would solve the issue, clearly it was a clog that needed to be extracted.

He never called me, and never showed up. Completely unacceptable, and he didn't respond to my emergency. I had no hot water and this was during our sub zero weather on January 6, 2014. At no point did he call and say "I am sorry I am taking so long. I will be there as soon as possible." I got no response. I hope no one else has to experience this. This was an awful experience. I will be reporting him to the BBB as well.

It went well. They were on time and called before they came. They fixed the issue.

The appointment was scheduled and they showed up promptly and rodded a drain pipe for my building. I also had them give me a quote for other work. They gave me a good price and I had them do the job a couple weeks later. They did a great job on all the work. I will definitely call Jeff again when I need a plumbing professional.

Jeff called and made an appointment very quickly after I requested an appointment. Jeff and his helper came probably 45 minutes late, and stayed for probably little less than one hour. Jeff was friendly, and efficient. He rodded two sewer lines from the cleanouts in the basement in a single family home to the city sewer, and he didn't find any issues with either line. I thought the video imaging service was included in the coupon, but Jeff said the rodding didn't suggest any problems, based on his long experiences, and he said there is no point of doing so. The distance of the lines was probably over 75 feet combined, but Jeff didn't charge an extra. Overall he did a good job, but it would have been better if (1) he could have given a quick call and let me know an estimated arrival time (because he was very late for our appointment) and (2) the coupon would have described more clearly the exact service included. Overall, the service was great. I'd use his service again.

My compliments to Jeff and his helper for the complete attention and great results with this clog from h***. The kept their good humor and chased this clog as if it were an enemy. All totaled about 2 hours and 45 minutes of hard work. When they finished they cleaned the areas the worked in. Then left for his next appointment. All on the day before Thanksgiving.

Wow - if you have any problem that J & B Plumbing can address, I would recommend securing their services. We had backflow from our basement drain, and because there hasn't been any rain recently, it was pretty clear that it was a clog. I purchased a "Big Deal" from J & B on Sunday, and Jeff had the job completed by 10:30 a.m. on Monday morning. I spoke with him at 8:00 a.m., and he just mobilized immediately. J & B is located in Lincoln Park, and I live in Norridge (by O'hare, basically). The Big Deal I purchased was only for customers in the city (I didn't read it closely enough), but Jeff agreed to come out and do the job for only $25 extra. Plus, he waived an additional charge that was (1) fully disclosed as a part of the deal and (2) totally reasonable ($1 per optional extra foot of line cleaning). I've had very, very few experiences with service companies that were this positive. I will only be using J & B for my plumbing repairs going forward.

It went great! Jeff and his assistant came and w/in minutes diagnosed the problem of why our toilet wasn't working and promptly fixed it. They had the part on their truck. They came to do an estimate immediately after I called them. They came two days later to do the work. They spent the better part of the day working on the pump and miscellaneous repairs. I needed one part and Jeff couldn't find it in the area and drove quite a distance to procure it. They were neat and cleaned up after themselves. I did have a problem with a couple of the miscellaneous repairs. I called, and Jeff came by in a couple of hours to fix them (at no additional charge). He said his work was guaranteed. They were pleasant and easy to work with. I felt confident with their expertise. I would hire them again in a heart beat.

I called J & B Plumbing on Sunday morning at 10 AM to schedule an appointment for the following week. I wanted Jeff to check a pipe in my basement that I noticed had some rust areas. Jeff said he would be able to come out that afternoon (Sunday). Jeff arrived at 12:30 PM. He looked at the pipe and said he would cut out the section that was rusted and then replace it with a piece of PVC pipe. He said he had time to do it then if I wanted it done immediately. I was amazed that he would do it on a Sunday. After he cut out the rusted section he showed me the inside of that piece of pipe. It was totally filled up with gunk. He suggested that I get the pipe rodded out since the parts he left were also filled with that gunk. So he rodded out the pipe and then attached the new section of pipe. After he was finished he cleaned up the area he had worked in. I am very pleased with his work and even talked with him about other plumbing jobs that he is going to do for me in the future.

I called, they responded immediately and came out the next morning (Monday). I did not need to give a credit card over the phone, they were also willing to send me an invoice via email so I could pay a check via mail. They did not overcharge, did not claim more work needed to be done that was completed. Very professional. I have used other plumbers and they charge a fortune, the reason I didn't use my previous plumbers, they no longer accepted credit card over the phone and unless I could provide them with a deposit up front they would not service the condo even though I had used them the last 2 years and had a maintenance contract. J&B, yes it is smaller but more personable and won't take you for a ride. Since I have given their name to others.

I was searching online for someone to clean the sewer drain from my computer at work. I tried to contact a few different plumbers.With in 10 minutes J&B responded. They said they in the area and could be at my home within the hour and they made it.I was at work but my wife was home. J&B cleaned the sewer drain and tested to make sure ?it was all cleared out. I have had no problem since it was cleaned. I thank them for there quick response
