Dominic come out for the appraisal of the job (replacing two front doors on a condo building) and said would send estimate. waited at least two week. called him. did not respond. called him again & left message. did call back and said he was sick and would send estimate but did not hear from him.

It went very well. They are great. I am happy to refer them to other Angie's List members.

Dominic Irpino is an excellent business person. He is responsive, considerate and very flexible.Charlie is the site supervisor and he has over 35 years experience so he can give good advice on all the details that need to be done. He managed the crew well and was on site whenever I needed him. He's a kind hearted man who I can tell invests himself into the job fully. The crew was generally on time and worked at a good pace. I needed this job done in a month and they did it. As we discovered things that were not quoted, I felt the price adjustments were fair. But more than anything, the quality of the work was consistent and excellent. I was active through the job, meeting with the crews each morning to go over the minor decisions (like where to put light switches, or if walls needed moving, do we want to add insulation etc) things that you don't totally think about before hand. The crew was always willing to work with me to make things right. Whenever I felt I needed to connect with Dominic, he responded right away and was always fair and mostly just accommodating. This was the second good sized job they did and I was totally pleased with the outcome. I wanted the place rented by May 1 and it was, by the second person who saw it.

Our master bathroom had a number of niggling issues that had bugged us for years- discolored stone, cracked stone on the shower curb, peeling silicone sealant, etc. Finally, we noticed the floor of the adjoining bedroom beginning to warp, and knew something had to be done. The thought of dealing with a contractor and our first large home renovation was nerve wracking enough, but on top of it was the uncertainty of being able to figure out what went wrong, and trusting that the job would be done properly the second time around, since it clearly had not been done right the first time. Dominic immediately put us at ease with his friendly and easygoing manner, and instilled tremendous confidence as he guided us through the process. He and his team were able to identify the root cause of the problem with minimal upfront work. Once the extent of the work was determined, they completed the demolition and rebuild efficiently and with noticeably better quality. Throughout the rebuild process, there were numerous occasions when they pointed out a deficiency in the existing structure and explained how they were to address it in their work. Dominic's team on our project were all incredibly nice, hardworking, and trustworthy to the point where we felt we could leave for work during construction. Furthermore, Dominic gracefully addressed a complaint from a neighbor that our work had damaged their bathroom, taking a look at their place just as a matter of course in the project. What a relief! We are incredibly happy with the results. Irpino Construction earned our respect and admiration, and we would highly recommend them to anyone.

I had recently taken a new job as the regional Vice President of an international bank. This was a promotion for me and I was very excited as well as nervous about the job. One of my first main projects was to oversee the renovation of one of the branches I managed. I did some research and asked some people I knew and Irpino Construction came up a few times. I contacted them as well as a few other companies for bids. Dominic was the most thorough. He and his team were very patient answering all of my questions and extremely professional and funny. I also just had a great feeling with him. He seemed to be very patient and kind. I decided to go with them because of the difficult nature of the project in that it was time sensitive and had to be done while the bank remained in operation. Dominic and his team stepped up to the challenges they were given by working odd shifts and hours so that they not only could finish the job on time but ahead of schedule. Throughout the process we continued to have many questions and decisions that needed to be made and Dominic and his project managers were very helpful along the way. I’m beyond happy with Irpino Construction and plan to use them for further renovations at our other branches and when I need some work done in the coming months personally.

I contacted Irpino Construction about getting an estimate to have a door installed (loft space layout; room with just an opening). Irpino was professional and punctual. I did not go with this company after the estimate was provided because I was able to have another company complete the job at half the price.

I had contacted Dominic in the past about my remodeling project and while he was busy at the time he stopped by and gave me a few tips and recommended a few people to work with. I worked with his recommended electrician to upgrade wiring in condo (was converted in 1985 and not capable of supporting 21st century technology) and got sidetracked on the remainder of the project. I reached out to him again around Thanksgiving and we quickly found time to meet and move forward with the project. Initial project was to complete the Laundry and Kitchen construction along with painting the pipes in the basement. As things progressed I decided to go ahead with the painting and trim and could not be happier with the decision. Everything turned out fantastic and the team showed a real dedication to quality work and attention to detail, frequently going above and beyond what was asked or expected. Also, price includes most of the materials (excluding about $400-500 in paint) for the entire project. I plan on using Dominic for any future work on my condo and would recommend him and his team to anyone looking for a high quality job done at an affordable price.

I had seen the work of Irpino Construction on a very modern condo and since my style was similar, I thought they would be perfect for my job. I needed to do a complete master bathroom remodel and Irpino Group did a great job. They put in new tile and fixtures, a new toilet , sink and rain head shower. It is a complete transformation! I was very impressed with how the project was managed and the speed and attention to detail of the workers. I have some other bathrooms that need work and I will definitely be calling on Irpino Construction for them as well!

Dominic helped me find this investment condo and I was so happy with the way he handled the reals estate transaction and by his referrals that I used him to do the renovation on the condo. Just like the way he handles his real estate is how he handles construction. Everything is done to a T and he's always available. We had some hiccups and delays, but he was open to whatever I had to say or complain about and always took care of the problem as quick as he could. Nothing in construction is perfect, but Dominic does the best job I've ever seen of someone trying to make something imperfect perfect. Use Irpino Construction. You will not be disappointed.

wonderful. clean, professional, top-notch work. perfectly achieved our objectives for the kitchen, and made every effort to adjust plans to meet our demands for cost without sacrificing quality of the work.

We have a 120-year old house in Lakeview, and are looking to update the kitchen and adjoining bath. Upstairs, we are converting a closet into a master bath, and, because we are using the closet for that, we are having to create a new closet. We had an architect create drawings, and then we had a number of people provide quotes. Dominic's was the middle of the three we got. One guy, who was more of a "handyman," and I am not saying anything negative about that, gave us a quote that about half of Dominic's. The third guy, a contractor, like Dominic, gave us a quote that was $25,000 more than Dominic's. So, pricewise, I was comfortable with Dominic's. More important, we clicked with him. He was very conscientious and careful, and super-nice. He came out several times before actually preparing his quote, to ensure that he understood the scope of the project. We kept tweaking it, and he kept rolling with our changes, no problem. Very, very patient with us. Another thing: he genuinely seemed to like our house (which, of course, we do, too). He took time to answer questions, to make suggestions...and this was all before we ever decided to go with Dominic. After we signed the contract, Dominic has worked closely with us regarding selection of materials. He has "people" everywhere, which really helps when it comes to picking out the materials. For instance, we needed to buy all new appliances for the kitchen. He sent us to his "guy" at Abt, and we got an amazing discount. He has a "guy" at the cabinet store, the tile store, the fixture store. He has volunteered to come with us to our meetings with the vendors to help us select materials. At this point, we are still selecting things, and getting ready to start construction in August. As I told Dominic, I cannot begin to put a price on the sense of comfort and trust that he gives us. I will update this once we get going, but I did want to share with everyone how amazing Dominic is, and how happy I am to have found him. November 2012: Sorry it has taken me so long to prepare this update. But, the good news -- the great news -- is that everything went unbelievably well! First, the quality of the work. It is amazing. As said before, there were many components to this project. First, we turned a closet in the master bedroom into a full bath, with a claw foot tub and a double vanity. All new stuff, and a lot of work. It came out great. We ended up using an electric heating mat under the floor tiles; that was Dominic's idea. He also was the one who steered us into the wall tiles we ended up using, and we couldn't be happier with the final look. It is amazing. Because we used the master closet for the bathroom, we needed to build a new closet. Dominic took space from the adjacent bedroom; and then, because we used THAT space, we borrowed space for that bedroom from the front bedroom. As you can see, this was a lot of work, as all three upstairs bedrooms were impacted. In addition, we had hardwood floors put throughout. Downstairs, we ripped out the old kitchen and put in a totally new one, ripped out an old bathroom and totally updated it, took a set of stairs that had been ugly exterior stairs, and broke down a wall to make them INTERIOR stairs. That was a lot of work, making them look finished and consistent with the rest of the interior. Anyway, the kitchen and bathroom are amazing. We get a ton of compliments from visitors. Dominic helped us select the vendors who supplied the various items, and we were uniformly thrilled with the quality of the items we got, as well as the prices, since they typically gave us the contractor's discount by going through Dominic. There was a ton of work to do. Before we can re-do the kitchen, for instance, the floor had to be leveled - not surprising that a 130-year old house had a wavy floor. Also, there was an old chimney going up through the kitchen that Dominic demo'd. That was his idea, and it turned out to be a great one, as we gained a lot of space by doing that. Mechanically, we installed a brand new boiler, and exchanged a number of "old fashioned" radiators for modern baseboard radiators. They are still hot water heated, but take up a lot less room. We had a lot of detailed design work in our tiles in the baths and the kitchen, but Dominic's work on the tiles is simply terrific. The final finish work is smooth, clean, beautiful. Timing wise, the project took about two weeks longer than originally anticipated, but, truthfully, that was a function of the number of changes that we made to the project as it went along, so that is on us, not Dominic. We were so pleased that this year, we have decided to gut and re-do another bathroom. This time, I didn't bother with quotes from anyone, I just called Dominic again. He is a great craftsman, a great listener, has great ideas, but won't shove them down your throat. Perhaps most important, he really cares, about the project, about our house, and, frankly, about us. This goes way beyond a simple homeowner - contractor relationship. We have become friends, and that's the best part of the story.

After reading their reviews on Angie's List, I called Irpino Construction and asked for them to come out and give me an estimate on some granite refurbish work. Dominic Irpino arrived at the time he said he would. We discussed what I wanted to have done and just a few days later I received in the mail a beautiful, professionally prepared proposal and contract. When it came time to do the work , Dominic always accommodated my availability and sent his workman out when my schedule allowed. Dominic sent his stone and granite man, Caesar out to do the work...this man knows everything there is to know about marble, granite, etc! Caesar's work was impeccable. Before leaving, he gave me so much information about what products to use to clean and protect every kind of stone surface in my home. Dominic Irpino is a special guy. He listened to what I had to say and to my questions. He explained clearly the process of the work that would be done. He took interest in and managed my small project personally and in a way that made me feel that to him, my project was as important as any large construction job. He is a man of his word. I am fortunate to have met and worked with him.

Dominic was very responsive and looked for ways to help soundproof my ceiling. He spent a lot of time investigating the best approach while never guaranteeing that it would work as other contractors did. After all research I did, he was spot on. The workers were very nice and kept the dust to the work area and was very attentive asking questions ensuring I was satisfied as the work progressed. Dominic assisted with paint color selection and suggested what areas should be the accent walls. Very easy to work with and accomodating with schedule. The final product turned fantastic. While you can still hear some noise from upstairs, the noise was significantly reduced allowing me to sleep in past 5-6 am. Also, did a side job of installing tile in my shower would turned out fantastic! Great job and very much recommend for any sound proofing, tiling, dry wall, tile work, and home renovations!

Dominic and his crew were so great. He came over to do an in depth assessment of our needs and put an incredibly detailed quote together including pictures of the exterior and interior of our home. The price breakdown was really easy to follow and an excellent deal. He was extremely involved and made multiple trips to our home while work was underway to see how the project was progressing. His crew was small but really hard working and polite. Dominic also had great advice for us and suggested several venders for us to contact directly for our countertop and roof needs. We're really happy with the end result. It took us only two weeks to rent the 3rd floor unit.

If he had been available to do the work, we would have been delighted to work with him.

I liked how personable they were and how professional they were as far as the quote. I didn't like the fact that the repairs took 3 days longer than expected. They were overall very nice. They were fairly punctual. They said they would be there between 8 and 9. They got there from anywhere between 8.15 and 9.15. After stuff was pointed out, they wanted to make it right. The gentleman from the company actually came and took pictures. They were very professional. They had a very detailed estimate. They took pictures of the property and pictures of the problem. Underneath the picture of the problem, they quoted out what it was going to cost. They took a lot of time to try make things right, even when we pointed out issues that we wanted to get corrected before they left. The name of the foreman at Irpino working on our property was Hiney. He was the kindest nicest gentleman and he was definitely a people pleaser. He definitely wanted to make sure that we were happy.

A couple of days after Dominic came out to look at my home and determine what I would need, I was provided with a professional written estimate. It seemed reasonable. I did not go through with the renovations because I'm a little nervous about spending a high amount of money in this current economic and real estate environment. If I do decide to go through with it, I will call Irpino Construction.

Living in a condo, each of the three owners submits a bid from individual contractors. Dominick's was the highest of the three and we chose to select the middle bid. I would be happy to hire Dominick for any future needs as he was a great guy, easy to communicate with and very thorough in his bid.

The owner and his crew are top notch. Not only did they do an amazing jo on the backsplash and bathroom tile, but they helped me in deciding on interior paint colors and did some painting as well. I could not have been happier. I originally chose a backspash that was nice, but not amazing. The owner suggested that I follow him to a tile store about 20 minutes away, because he had an idea. We went to the tile place (at 9 at night) and he helped me choose something absolutely amazing. Talk about going above and beyond the call of duty! The new backsplash would be more difficult to install than the one I picked out, but they didn't even charge me more! Everything turned out great. I was so impressed that I asked him if some of his men wanted to help us paint for a few hours and they accepted on the spot. The owner even pitched in by painting himself so we could get everything done! Great company, great work, great guys.

Dominic and his crew were very professional and provided excellent workmanship on a small but challenging project. The crew had the unenviable task of completing a travertine installation that was half-complete and was not exactly straight in spots. The tiling turned out looking great. The crew was almost obsessive in their concern for our satisfaction, and did some extra work to ensure that an IKEA vanity fit perfectly around some problematic drain pipes. The drywall finishing and painting is flawless. This was a small basement bathroom, but still a difficult project. When we redo the master bath, we will almost certainly hire Irpino to do the job.

I bought an investment property last year which needed to be totally rehabbed. I met with several referred contractors, but didn't truly felt comfortable with any of them. During this time the condo across the hall from my was being worked on. This crew would start early in the morning and work continuously into the evening. This is what prompted me to inquirer with the workers. Dominic Irpino, the owner met with me at the investment property. He was very upfront and helpful about what needed to be done to the place. He gave me a fair price and provided excellent work on schedule. I will definitely use them on my next project.

Dominic is the perfect balance of being your friend and the professional you want to handle a complicated project. He and his team were exceptional from the first stage of the project to the minute I was able to move back in. He is a great guy and I'm very grateful I was able to find him. Also, he has great taste. I will use him for whatever construction needs I have.

Very well, although I did not end up using the company due to our very tight time frame and their being busy. I appreciated their honesty in letting us know right up front that they probably could not meet our very tight time frame due to other commitments, yet still taking the time to thoroughly look at our project plan and give us advice and feedback. Very professional and seem to genuinely love what they do.

We had a great experience with Irpino Construction. Dominick Irpino was responsive, enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. He called us back almost immediately, was punctual for our appointment and got the bid to us without delay. He came to the property on a Saturday and took detailed notes and photos. Although we did not end up purchasing the property, we will surely use Irpino in the future.

I used Dominic before on my home, I wanted to update my medical office, and he handled this project in the exact same fashion. He started when he said he would and finished when he said he would. With Dominic, I do not have to worry about a thing. He get's it done. I am extremely happy with him and Irpino Construction.
