Got an estimate in fall of 2014. Robert said he was very busy. We said ok, we will wait until the new year. Contacted him several times, no response. Robert finally sent an email on 7/26/15, "I apologize. We just came back from vacation. I will give you a call today. I apologize for this not responding as I just got back to the States today. Sincerely, Inter Home Remodeling" Never called. I have sent numerous emails, and have called. I emailed through Angie's List and directly. I told him that if he was no longer interested in doing the job, please let me know. No response whatsoever. Update-Robert replied on November 2nd via email, said "I will call you tomorrow, give me your phone number." I sent him my phone number and said it has been on every email that I sent! Have emailed him several times, still no call, no contact of any kind (today is 12/4/2015). Robert does not do what he says, do not trust him. Update-2/4/16 Tried to contact Robert almost every day. Has not responded. Stay away.

This team is very responsive, punctual, detail-oriented, friendly. Worked long days to get the job done. Always cleaned up after themselves. Would definitely hire again. Original estimate is for labor only. Here $5400 includes ~$1400 in materials that they bought.

Robert came out back in August of 2014 to give me a quote for the 2 bathroom remodeling jobs. His quote was the lowest and but he was still rated well on angies list so I decided to go with them. I had asked Robert to give me another quote with a tub surround instead of tiled tub walls (should be cheaper labor), but didn't receive it. We had to reschedule several times because of my own timeline (I decided to do some additional extensive plumbing work that needed to be done before remodeling the bathrooms), so we actually didn't start remodeling until January of 2015. However, Robert always contacted me to check in and to keep me in the loop on when they would actually start the job. Peter and his assistant came on the date they said they would. They were professional, courteous, and cleaned up after each day's work. Throughout the job, the toughest part was getting a tub and tub wall that had no cracks - and Peter was willing to drive to different Lowe's to pick them up (they would not fit in my car). Also, Peter has more of a detailed eye than I do - which I appreciated because several times he would point out something that was wrong with the bathroom fan or the tub wall and I was able to go and exchange it. He kept me in the loop, asking me how I wanted the tiles (diagonally, brick, or straight), etc. Some cons are that sometimes it was hard to communicate. For example, I wanted the vanity and sink to be flushed against the wall but didn't know I needed to say that in the beginning so when I said it after the dry wall was up, it was too late because it wouldn't have been centered with the light. However, Peter really tried to offer solutions like suggested buying a new, bigger vanity that would go against the wall and be centered with the light. It was really my fault since I didn't bring it up from the beginning. When we were working on the next bathroom, I made sure to say it first haha. Overall, I am so pleased with the quality of their work and their professionalism that in the future when I remodel my master bathroom, kitchen, and laundry room, I know I will be at least getting a quote from them.

It went GREAT! They were punctual in arriving for the job estimate. The labor costs were very reasonable and the job that they did was worth every penny! The guys were helpful, courteous and showed up on time for the actual job. They were very careful about working in a clean and efficient manner. They cleaned up all work. I would recommend this company and I plan on using them again for future jobs!

Inter Home Remodeling has a very impressive portfolio on their website of great work they have done. Plus, the solid Angie's List reviews they'd received were encouraging, so I reached out to Robert to quote on redoing our basement and a section of our kitchen. He was exceptionally nice, but I did have some communication problems in the beginning. He was quick to come out and schedule a time to look at our projects, but then I had to follow up multiple times via Angie's List messaging, texts, and phone calls to get him to deliver his bid. He apologized and said his phone had been acting up, and that he would get it to me right away (so all was forgiven). He eventually sent it to me, but his quote was very vague and didn't have nearly the level of specificity I was hoping for (like if materials were included, if so, how many lights, doors, what type, etc.). It was SUCH a low bid (literally half the cost of the next lowest estimate and 1/5 that of the most expensive), that I almost wound up not trusting that everything we needed was included. I had to follow up again with a series of emails to try and get him pinned down on more specifics and how much they would cost. This time, he was pretty responsive (and always, unfailingly nice), and asked to come out again to look at the job with his builder (I think it was his dad) to get a better sense of what the job would actually entail. I felt like I was pestering him into giving me a more expensive quote, but I wanted to make sure I had a fair comparison with all of the other contractors I'd had come through. Again, super-duper nice, but his quote went up by $2k when they closely examined all the things that needed to be fixed, and his quote was labor only. After asking twice for a total, all-in quote so I could compare with the others, I eventually got it and it wound up being the same as the other lowest-contractor's bid (and twice what the original quote was now that I had asked for specifics). We ultimately decided to go with another contractor not because of quality of work (they would have done a great job), or any kind of attitude (Robert couldn't have been nicer), or even the price... Ultimately, it came down to communication. I am impatient and details-focused, and I felt like I would have to chase them down for everything throughout the project if we chose them. I had been very specific in what I had needed quoted, and each time the quote came back vague and unsubstantiated. I had to pester, follow up, and ask questions constantly to ultimately get to where I wanted the quote to be, and I just feared this is how the project process would go. So if you are not as Type-A as I am, Inter Home Remodeling would for sure do a terrific job on your remodeling. They were nice, courteous, inexpensive, and knowledgeable at every turn. But if you like every "i" dotted and every "t" crossed in every interaction from the start, you might wind up frustrated as I had been. In the end, they got me just what I wanted, though, and I really appreciated their patience with me :-)

I cannot say enough good things about these guys. Not only did they do excellent, high quality work, but they were a pleasure to work with...and I think we all know that is hard to come by with contractors. Robert handled the communication and estimate and scheduling while Peter led the actual project work. Peter and his partner showed up promptly whenever we expected them, they worked swiftly and efficiently, they kept the job area clean and were careful to avoid dragging dust or dirt between the project area and anywhere else they had to go on our property. Peter was professional and easy to communicate with in my opinion (don't think English was his first language, but definitely an effective English communicator). They kept to themselves if they didn't need any questions answered, but they always did ask a question when it made sense for them to ask before continuing their work. These guys are smart, strong and hard workers. We are so pleased we selected them for this project. They made sure everything was done to our satisfaction, and went above and beyond in few cases. Peter was very good working with tile, very detail oriented, and he also built a custom built-in cabinet as part of our remodel. They definitely have all of the skills needed for completely gutting and remodeling a bathroom, and we may even use them for a kitchen remodel down the road. Overall, we feel we got more than our money's worth, and we are very happy with the finished product!

I solicited a bid from this contractor for a new shower install, including glass enclosure, fixtures install and tile install. I spent the time to draw up a full page of notes with dimensions, specifics and answers to any anticipated questions for the contractor. For a living I do a lot of bidding work with commercial contractors, and I understand the need to be thorough and meticulous in order to avoid confusion and mistakes. I know that it is also appreciated by the contractor, as it saves them time and lessens the pain of needing to go "back and forth" with the customer (me). Without architect or design plans in place, this is a big help to them in pricing the job. I had already researched and purchased the fixtures, tile, and just simply needed a quote for the job. Robert came to my house and viewed the project with an assistant in order to provide a bid. He even provided the contact information of a glass enclosure supply subcontractor so that I could reach out and prospect for information on sizing and cost. I gave him plenty of time to submit a bid, and then finally asked him to submit something over a week later. I answered all his questions on site, and provided him my full page of printed notes on the dimensions and specs of everything that I needed (no detail left out!)His bid came and was simply a two sentence email, stating the price for labor. I found the price to be agreeable, so I asked him for a full contract. I received nothing back. I made well over 5 phone calls with voicemails to see if he had any questions and to ask politely if I could get the full contract so that we could get the job moving. I emailed several times, indicating that I wanted to move forward, but no response. He never answered one of my calls, and never replied in any way. I spent two weeks trying to get a hold of him, and now I am back to square one, with having to find another contractor and do this all over again. My grievance is that if he didn't want the job, he could have indicated so, or not provided a bid. I am completely befuddled as to why this man could not provide the common courtesy of returning phone calls or multiple emails. I was never impolite or acerbic, and everything I provided was straightforward. My last interaction with him was a handshake and a thanks for coming to view the bathroom. So be wary that if you put in all the work for a bid with this company, you may not actually get one.

It went well, there were no issues with them, its with me. I don't like changes.

I have to say that Peter did an EXCELLENT job. I have to say that my bathroom was a horrible mess. The walls were crumbling, the floor was caving in and there was plastic tile all over the bathroom walls. Not to mention a shower / tub insert that kept growing mold all around it. I communicated with Robert who I think is Peter?s son but I am not sure. Robert was always professional and courteous and was a great help. Peter came and gave me an estimate that I thought over because I had contacted several other companies. I have to say that the comments and pictures on Angie?s List is what made me decide to go with Peter and Inter Home Remodeling. Demo started and we were on our way. They did a fantastic job.. The job however took longer than any of us thought because the tile company promised to have the tile delivered on a certain date and it turns out we had to wait almost two weeks on tile which put them behind and by the time the tile came in they were on vacation. Which I am totally not upset about.. I was completely fine to wait because it was the error of the tile company that put us in a bind. However once they were able to return Peter knocked this job out of the park!!! There were some snafus that came up and Peter fixed each one of them. The price was really reasonable and some of the time I felt like it was too reasonable because I know what my bathroom looked like before they redid it...lol but I have to say that they have a LOYAL customer and I have to say I would recommend Peter and Inter Home Remodeling to any and everyone. The job was done above and beyond. I have a ½ bath that I plan on using Inter Home Remodeling to redo. Thank You so much Peter, Robert & Inter Home Remodeling.

Very professional, well-priced estimate and good communication. We have decided not to pursue this project, but will keep Inter Home remodeling in mind for future projects.

They started the work as agreed upon. Their work is meticulous; our tiles had pretty complex details and it looks beautiful, in large part due to their attention to details and their professional opinion of what would and not work. Their customer service is exceptional, I felt always informed of progress, they would take my plan changes in a great stride and adjust on a fly! I would definitely hire them to do more work in the future and would highly recommend them.

Peter showed up right on time and started work within 5 minutes of arriving. He didn't stop until the job was complete 5 hours later. The tile work turned out perfect. He left my kitchen cleaner than it was when he arrived. I highly recommend using Inter Home Remodeling for your next kitchen or bath project (they do more than that also). I am extremely pleased with the work performed as well as the price to complete it. I will definitely use them again for my next project.

I had my old bathroom for quite a while so I decided to do a complete remodeling of my bathroom. My friend told my about Inter Home Remodeling. They professionally estimated my bathroom and we agreed upon price after the estimate. They showed up on time and started doing the job accordingly to our agreement. They had my old tiles torn down, during their work, they notified me about every detail about this work. They installed new tiles swiftly. The job was finished quick and thoroughly and it was very clean. I am really happy with the job they did, and I would definitely use them for the future.
