I am thoroughly disappointed with the service I received. I will be filing an official complaint with the company. Workers were late, they damaged my sofa, mirror, and entertainment center. They tried charging me extra money upon arrival and took an extra 26 minutes arguing about the need for more cash. TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE, two of the workers took a "pot' break and went outside to smoke marijuana - then came back into the apartment and joked about it with the others. I HAVE NEVER HAD SUCH POOR A** SERVICE from any company in my life. You can be assured my letters to Angie's List, the corporate company and the better business bureau will be heard.

This was the second time that I've used them, and I don't know why I bothered to look around before contacting them again. I spoke to Carlos again to set up moving for my girlfriend. Amazingly, Carlos was the same person I spoke to 7 years ago when I moved! Their rates were much cheaper than any other quotes. He mentioned that they are treating it like a local move as she was just moving under a mile into WI from IL. All other companies were charging long distance for a drive of 35 miles! Come moving day the guys showed up in the window they gave, and got right to work. Besides loading things on the truck, they also assisted with moving things to the garage that weren't going on the truck. They worked fast and took great care of all of the items that still needed to be packed, like a few TVs. While it took a while to get everything loaded, transported, and unloaded (7 hr) their rates were still far cheaper than any other I got quoted on. They did great work, and I'd be sure to use them again!

Very nice, diligent guys, attentive to our needs and very courteous.We had a very good experience with our crew. They were very diligent and responsible, maybe a little slower than what we were used to (took a couple of more hours than our previous move but it was also a bit larger). Overall, pleasant experience with very nice people.

I am very unsatisfied with the service. In and Out quoted us a 4 hour job that took double the time (8 hours). I have listed all the items to be moved for the quote and there so were explanations as to why it took more time than quoted. What was the point of itemizing our inventory for the initial quote? During the move, the mover broke our door and door knob and promised to come back to fix it the same day. They never came back and never called to let us know while we waited at home. I called the company the next morning to inform them and they mentioned that they are not responsible for any damages to our property only for the goods being moved. How does that give them incentive to be careful with our home? We also informed the company that we have a tight timeline to do a final walk-through of our property for the sellers and have called numerous times. They finally said they will send a repair man to see if they can fix it the next day but no guarantees. Again, they did not arrive at scheduled window. When I followed up with Corporate, they said the repair man will show up sometime during the day but is unreachable since he left his phone at the office. Repair man finally showed up but has purchased the wrong parts to fix the damages. He said he will come back the next day at 9AM and still have not showed up. I continue to call Corporate to locate him since the promised time is never acknowledged. We should not have to wait at home for days for them to show up. It is a waste of our time. He returns with an attempt to fix the door and knob and was unable to so he left. We ended up hiring a 3rd party just to fix the damages. We are still working with the company to reimburse us since they promised to pay up to $100. In addition, the movers that worked on our home were very rude over the phone when I had questions since my parents spoke limited English. I will definitely not recommend this company for any future jobs.

They arrived on time, called 30 minutes ahead to let us know when to expect them. They worked around being directly downtown and to moving to wrigleyville during a cubs game. They understand how important timing is, but they are very careful with your boxes.

They were hours late. Then the leader walked in and said that they couldn't get the stuff out the back door. I had about 70% ready to go but they said if it wasn't 100% they wouldn't do anything. I begged them to just move what was ready. Then they said they would ask their boss and get back to me. I kept calling every hour or so then 6 hours later they admitted that they wouldn't come back. Why didn't they tell me 6 hours ago so I could make plans. I ended up having to set up my computer again and start calling from craigslist and moving late at night and the next day. I had to pay the owner of the building more money too. It's unprofessional.

IN AND OUT MOVERS ARE AWESOME THEY ARE ON TIME AND LET ME TELL YOU THEY ARE HARD WORKERS THE DONT STOP MOVING .THEY DONT WAST YOUR TIME OR YOUR MONEY..THE TEAM I HAD ,,THE OWNER SHOULD REALLY RECOGNIZE THEM THERE OUTSTANDING THEY DID A GREAT JOB...IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR MOVERS YOUR FOOLISH IF YOU DONT USE THIS COMPANY

I spoke with Carlos over the phone, getting a quote estimate and working with him for scheduling the move. Carlos was very courteous, responsive, and extremely helpful in getting the move set up. Carlos even offered 10 free boxes (which I had to go pick up) as well as a $100 coupon for a long distance move, which eventually enticed me to go with them. We scheduled the move for between 8 and 9 am and the team promptly contacted me 5 minutes before 8 saying they were almost arriving. Wow, talk about punctuality! The team was led by Jose and they were extremely efficient and diligent. We went through the inventory from the estimate and marked up all the items to be delivered and the team quickly started labeling and wrapping the items in blankets. Since it was a small amount of items, we finished up wrapping the items in about an hour. I was very impressed with the organization and efficiency of the team in prepping the move. It seemed like all was moving along perfectly, until an unlucky incident occurred right at the end. A slight misstep moving a sectional piece out the door left a dent in my wall. Unfortunately accidents do happen and sometimes there's just no avoiding them, no matter how detailed you are. The dent was quite sizable, but does not appear super major. The team on the ground were super apologetic and very professional about it. I could tell they were just as shocked and disappointed by it as I was, given an otherwise almost perfect move. I was told to contact the main office and to figure if anything could be done. I quickly contacted the office and sent them pictures of the damage and was put in contact with a higher up in their office. I was told, unfortunately, that because I was already given a discount on top of the free boxes, which they don't usually do, that there was nothing else that could be done to help me with my wall repairs (assuming that it is indeed minor). This is indeed very disappointing for an otherwise very professional and friendly company. I understand that its not easy to compound discounts on top of a competitive price and stay in business, but at the same time, I feel that in the case of accidents like this, it would have been much better to receive some token or acknowledgement. That's not to say that the team wasn't apologetic or the service wasn't great. Perhaps it was in comparison to the otherwise great experience I had that this in particular was disappointing.

The guys were pretty quick, and the company had good pricing, but wasn't thrilled with the service. While moving out of our apartment, a ceiling light fixture was broken, and some door trim was damaged/cracked. Also, after unloading at our house, a couple brackets to our dresser mirror came up missing and we still haven't found them. In their defense, the apartment was small and a bit challenging to move everything out, but then again, when we moved to the apartment a couple years back, me and 2 friends (who are not professional movers) managed to negotiate the apartment without damaging or losing anything.

I thought that they did a good job. They were fast, quick, and friendly.I had sorted everything clearly that this goes upstairs and this goes in the basement, and then when I got up and started unpacking the stuff, things were very mixed up, things that were supposed to be in the basement were upstairs and vice versa. Some were heavy, and I am a single woman that is why I got movers. It took me about a week of phone calls to try and get back in touch with them, to come back out and fix everything. They did eventually come out and fix everything, but it was a week of playing phone tag in trying to get somebody to come out and do that, which I thought was strange that they did that. They should have come out right away. The problem was fixed and it was taken care of but I kind of have mixed reviews. The problem was resolved, and because my basement stuff was in one room, and the ones to go in my apartment was in one room, there should have no mix up, but they were trying to move fast so things got mixed up. I think the price was reasonable compared to what I had paid the last time. They didn't damage anything. They weren't responsive as far as getting back to me right away.

It went well. The delivery was friendly and they were on time. They put everything back together as promised. They also put things away in the different rooms as requested. They were fast, efficient, and focused. They also presented themselves very well.

It was so so of an experience. There were good points to it and there were bad points to it. They caused damaged to the carpets that I had moved in and there were some damage to my wood floor when they moved my furniture which I know it happens all the time. There were minor damage to some of the pieces that they moved. They were half an hour to forty five minutes late. However they were conscientious of my cost and didn?t try to charge a lot of extra. So there were also some good things about it and they were really very patient. But I would missing the claim for the damage to the floor. It was just scratches that was not there before I moved in. So there were good things about them but there were things that I mentioned that did not work out very well. They originally mis-priced me and it's their disadvantage. It was good for me but I don't think it was the correct pricing but I guess they were fair. They were very accommodating.

Oh My God it went awful. They stole my IPAD.!!!! I did the find my ipad locator and the guy called me back that stole it. He admitted that they stole it. However, when I told them all my personal stuff was on it. He stated he would try and get it back for me. Well I have not heard from them again. The company did NOT offer to reimburse me for my loss. I even gave them a tip for their service. THIS IS NOT A HONEST COMPANY They will steal from you. BEWARE IF YOU USE THEM!!!! Personally I would not. They do a good job as movers. HOWEVER, they have very dishonest hands.

I got quotes from a few movers to help my girlfriend and I move stuff from her place into mine, and move stuff from both our units into storage. I can't say enough about how awesome these guys were! They showed up promptly (early) to my girlfriend's place and quickly started getting things moved out and onto the truck. They also wrapped up her TV, and shrink wrapped all the furniture. They also took apart her bed frame very quickly. We then moved some of her stuff into my place, which is the top of a 3 story walk up. I am amazed and how quickly these guys could get up those stairs with all kinds of things on their back! They also reassembled the bed frame and put everything exactly where we wanted it. They also moved some stuff out of my place and onto the truck. Our last stop was the storage unit we rented. They were great at arranging things in the unit so as to maximize space and leave room for additional items in case we want to store more in the future. I have used in-city movers before, but these guys are absolutely the best. I would definitely recommend you choose them and be done with your search for a moving company!

In the last 3 years I have moved three times and used In & Out Moving and Storage for my last move. I was very worried before moving out of Chicago to New York because of weather/delays concerns I had. The sales guy at the office was very professional and did everything possible to give me confidence clearly explaining the whole process. He customized the package and offered a very great deal. They were fast movers, always on time, handled the goods skillfully, with no damages. My goods delivered between the promised time frame and I did not get any reason to complain. I just have good words for this company. Would I recommend them? Absolutely! This is the best moving company without doubt.

It took so much stress of our family to have In & Out Moving company come in and move us. Their professionalism was top notch and I am really surprised. They even packed and unpacked our goods. All of our belongings were handled with care and everything arrived intact and as we left it. After this experience, I will never consider moving anything on my own. Great movers, energetic crew and a superb deal! In & Out moving is the best!

In the past year when moving I tired savings some money and doing everything myself, then suffering for a month with back and muscle pains. This time my budget was more flexible and I decided to give it a shot to a moving company. The selection is HUGE! In and Out moving stood out initially due to their great service! they came out and assessed the situation, gave me exact estimate and stood up to their word. The customer service provided by in and out movers was extremely professional and fast, taking a huge load off my head. I was able to focus on important things in the home rather than be busy worrying about the moving all the time. The moving process was super fast and very gentle, having NON of my furniture damaged or even scratched! Price-wise I know in and out moving beat nearly all the competitors since they offered me everything I wanted for one packaged deal while every body else kept on adding more and more to the bill. If i was to go with a different company I would have paid an extra $500+ for the moving, and the quality would have not been the same! As per my research about the local companies In and Out moving is by far the best moving company in the area, offering great deal and amazing value! Thank you very much!

They did a really poor job. They broke, lost, and mishandled my property. They marked up the walls, didn't wrap everything as they should have, and generally did an awful job. I had used them before and they did a decent job, but I can't recommend them now.

Worst moving Company! It was the worst experience I have ever had.

They did an overall good job and there were no major issues.

They're a good company and I would use them again. They were very careful with my belongings. I packed everything up and they did a good job with the move.

The move out went well but the storage aspect went really badly. They were also incredibly late and ended up hiring other people on the fly to help -- who had been drinking! They broke and lost several things, and still haven't done a single thing to make it right. I've contacted the manager and every time I call they say that they'll fix it, but never do.

Last month (June 2014) I moved cross-country from Chicago to Boston with In and Out Moving. It was a mixed bag experience. I should say that moving is always a terrible experience, so my standards were pretty low. Here are the highlights: 1) DESTROYED MY PROPERTY BUT EVENTUALLY PAID HALF ITS VALUE TO REPLACE IT (SEE PHOTOS): They destroyed a 45''x 33'' decorative mirror (worth around $400). Upon delivery, the mover (Mike) told me he had broken it on the way in. The glass was shattered and the frame was split in two. At first, I got no response from their company until their third party insurance then called and offered to pay me $18 for the mirror. I got pretty upset so I wrote an angry email to the company and scathing reviews on basically every review site. That got their attention: the owner Ariel called the next day. We agreed I would get quotes from mirror repair companies in Boston and would base reimbursement on that. Of course, the repair quotes I got were around $500, because the mirror was beyond repair. Ariel insisted that he could get a cheaper quote from "his people." At that point, this process had taken way too much of my time. We settled on $250 and called it a day. Overall, it was a frustrating process and likely could have been handled better on their part, but I'm reasonably satisfied with the fact that they eventually took responsibility. 2) COMMUNICATION AND BEHAVIOR: They arrived an hour late for pickup, but actually were early for delivery. They took 2 weeks to get my things to Boston and never called to schedule delivery even though I explained multiple times that I was moving into a high-rise and work full time so I needed to schedule the move. They got in touch after I emailed and called 5 times after not hearing anything in 12 days. That said, the movers themselves were very, very nice and efficient. Both pick up and delivery took 2 hours max. 3) ADDITIONAL FEES: They charged the "stair fee" and way over-estimated the number of steps for my apartment. I was not reimbursed for the difference. They charge $75 for each box they "reinforce" or item they "crate-wrap." Then, they charged me a 'long distance fee' because they walked more than 100 feet from the truck to the apartment: $100 for every 50 feet extra. Finally, they also tried to charge me $200 extra for a 'change of truck' even though I confirmed multiple times that the larger truck fit in the loading dock of my building. Overall, I had accepted going into this process that moving is awful and inconvenient. I had been willing to overlook a lot of the things in #2 and #3, but the issues I had getting my property replaced were beyond the standard inconveniences of moving. That said, its resolved now and there is no way I'm moving again in the next 3 years.

I hired this crew for the second time and I would love to tell that In and Out moving company did as they promised. Firstly they came to my home, listened to me about the moving and then they started wrapping. Then they moved the stuffs safely to the truck and without damaging anything, we reached safely to my residence. They are so punctual and professional. The crew was energetic and expert - therefore it was done so smoothly. I will hire this crew again, recommended!

Moving is such an essential job to perform like I needed it so much last week, to transfer my home appliances from NY. It was not so easy to find the proper guy. I had come to know that about this place and I called Carlos. The price offered by him was so affordable and I found them so fast while performing the job. It was a great deal, completed safely without any damage and in time. Actually, they transferred all the stuffs before the time they said. I liked their planning and working strategy. They are definitely so professional and friendly, as I found them. I am so happy with the deal. Keep going!
