I Gotta Guy Services

Needed some quick repairs to house before listing for sale. IGG came out right away, gave a reasonable quote, and fit the work in that afternoon. Quality job and pleasant people.

I used I Gotta Guy Services to renovate two bathrooms in March 2011. After they completed the work, my first floor shower head would spray water out when the faucet below was turned on. I spoke to Brian Sureck and his worker Matt Collins after the work was completed to fix this problem. On several occasions, they told me they would fix it but never followed through with it. Initially, Brian told me that I just needed to change my shower head. I did that and it didn't work. He later told me that the problem would require knocking down tile and fixing it from the inside. I met with Matt in mid-August and agreed to have Matt install an external valve. He tried to install the valve in early September but it continued to leak. He told me that he would get another valve and install it in a few days. He also took my shower head at that time (and never returned it). I did not hear back from him. I called Matt on a weekly basis in October with no response back from him. I made 3 calls to both Brian's office and his cell phone in late October and early Nov. I heard nothing. I called Matt yet again in Nov and finally got a hold of him. Once again, he told me that he needed to get another valve and it would be in by the weekend. The weekend came and went and once again nothing. I called Brian more than 10 times without response from 11/28-12/5. I have not heard from either of them since that voicemail in early Nov until 11/29 when I requested a refund of my money via email. Brian feels the problem is due to faulty hardware installed rather than incorrect installation and offered to install the valve yet again. I had 2 A grade Angie's list plumbers look at my problem and they independently came up with the same diagnosis. They informed me that the piping/valve was placed upside down causing the water to leak and the hot/cold settings to be switched. I told Brian this but received no response. I told him that I don't trust his work and have hired someone else to fix his mistake. I told him that I want a refund but he has cut off contact since. It is now more than 7 months later and the problem has not been fixed. I gave them more than enough time to address the issue but they did not. Basically they have tried hiding from me. I don't trust their work as two independent plumbers felt they misdiagnosed the problem and were very careless in their installation (switching of the pipe/valve). I have reported them to the better business bureau to resolve my issue with them
