HUGHES NET SATELLITE SERVICE

Internet started out slow, got worse. Customer service useless. Couldn't stream any Amazon, Netflix, Direct TV. When I complained on their Facebook Page they blocked me from being able to post comments. Their service model is tossing you into a "chat community" of people with the same problems and you solve each other's problems. There were over 4,000 people in this chat room when I tries to use it.

I have had to call the technical division for Hughes.net many times in the last 1 years. They are I India, and there in lies most of the problem I have with the company. I do not speak the language and they speak very poor English with a horrid accent and understanding a technician is sometimes too frustrating. I was also quoted install pricing etc. over the phone from the main office and when the fellow came out and installed everything, it turned out to be an entirely different price than what was quoted. I never received the perks promised with the purchase of the service and as far as I am concerned they are too expensive! I am planning to change providers as soon as I can to a new service that opened up locally and has DSL etc. for much less a month.

Ripoff. $120.00 per month plus extra if you go over your allotted time. every time I call customer service I get the same old answer. They cannot refund my money. They took $120.00 our of my bank, will not refund it and have no resolution but to cancel my card AGAIN as this has happened in the past. DON'T USE THEM!!!

The internet connection was very slow even though it was high speed. The information told to me wasn't truthful. I couldn't plug in an XBox Live. They had very bad customer service. You wait on line for too long. Then you get customer service from another country.
