Don was a pleasure to work with. He obviously has years of experience doing this and knew just what needed to be done. I will use him in the future.

Dave and Don are old pro's with a combined 50+ years of experience. I used to work for them at United Audio/Tweeter. When I run into something I can't handle, they always come in to get the job done, and done right. They also have way more patience with difficult jobs than I ever did.

Well, all I need to say is call HOOK UP GUYS with any AV type problem. Don came to house on a Sunday (unheard of in today's world). Carefully diagnosed the issue and resolved it. I was an unhappy camper without audio. However Don fixed it courteously and professionally. HOOK UP GUYS are now my go-to for AV issues.

After several bids chose the Hook Up Guys because they were local, professional, and seemed to have a very good grasp of the challenges in bringing an existing system up to date. They kept price in mind as well, and several times suggested alternatives that were better and less expensive without sacrificing sound or picture. They were prompt, friendly, and got the job done quickly at a competitive price. They hung large (60 inch) flat screen, rewired existing THX surround sound system with new hardware, and programmed all remotes to key in our favorites. I would not hesitate to call them again.

Overall it went very well. There are always twists and turns/hurdles involved with these things. I liked there creativity when problems surfaced. Some electronics might not always mesh/marry with other things. I was impressed with the problem solving. I will be using them again in the future.

Great service, very professional and I am very happy with the set up

Service was great. They showed up on a weekend, which worked best for us given our busy schedules. Early morning arrival. Took about 2 hours and went the extra mile to hide wires. Also, made sure their work was done completely, checking all connections to / from the TV. Great service. Very friendly guys. Asked them for advice on setting up a stereo system to connect to speakers throughout the house. They took an extra 30 minutes to check what could be done with our setup, recommended a Sonos and told us the appropriate equipment to purchase. My wife surprised me for my birthday by purchasing the equipment after speaking with the Hook Up Guys again a month later and had them come in and set up the Sonos system for us. Same level of service as with setting up our TV. They adjusted the settings on our receiver to optimize the sound in each room (I had been frustrated trying to do this myself and had practically given up). They will be my first call when I am ready for the next stereo / AV equipment project.

I was in quite a bind. I had lined up an install with another company for the Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Family was arriving for the holiday weekend on Thursday morning and a number of guests were coming over for Thanksgiving dinner. Of course it was paramount to have the new TV to enjoy Thanksgiving football. At noon on the day of the installation the other company canceled. They were "over booked and had 2 guys call in sick". I guess I drew the short straw -they wanted to reschedule me for the following week. I found Hookup Guys and Don on Angies List. The reviews were all good so I gave him a ring and I'm glad I did. He happened to be available that afternoon and was at my house within 2 hours! Don expertly installed my 65" Panasonic VT50 on an ultra slim mount, re-ran some cables, installed a new in-wall center channel speaker, and swapped out my old DVD player. I owe him big time. He was at our home until 830PM the night before Thanksgiving and didn't leave until everything was perfect. He was professional and very careful with all the new equipment. The screws that came with my mount were going to leave the TV further from the wall than I wanted. Don had extra mount hardware in his van and was able to solve my problem with his spare parts to get me the sleek look i wanted. The center channel install was perfect - no extra cuts or areas to patch. Cables were neatly managed and organized. The overall end product was perfect! I would highly recommend HookUp Guys.

I can't begin to say how lucky we were to meet Don and Dave at a friend's new condo. We had just begun a search for a home theater system. If you have ever tried that yourself, you know how confusing all of the technology can be. Don made it easy to understand and helped us buy exactly what we needed at a price that was even better than we were quoted at one of more famous stores on the North Shore. The installation was flawless and Dave spent extra time helping me understand how Apple TV works along with the system. Go ahead spend some time at the big box stores, but call the Hook Up Guys when you are ready to buy!

We had a little trouble with my TV due to it's age (2010) and size (65" - 155lbs) but the guys did a great job rolling with the punches. End result is fantastic. Very fair with regard to pricing. Pleasant guys to visit with, and felt very comfortable with them in my home. Thanks Hook Up Guys!

Don (one of the 2 guys, who are in essence the "Hook Up Guys") came over same day, within a few hours if not less. He was very knowledgeable and friendly... He dove in, tried a ton of things, scoured the support guide online and did everything in the trouble shooting protocol. And ever tried a few extra things. Ultimately, his conclusion was "the BluRay reciver is shot". He recommended a few replacement units and spent time to look 'em up online and show me. Then, he fiddled with my surround sound, and put in on optimal settings. He only charged me half of his hourly rate. Because ultimately, he didn't get it working. He's since come back to install a new lamp for my projection TV and then came back again, when it turned out that was defective a month later. Oh, and for the ordering and delivery of the part, he provided his special mailbox at a local UPS store, and I sent the lamp there, for easy pick up. Each successive time he's come out, it's always been virtually right away. And depending on the intensity of the task... He charges according relative to his hourly rate. Anyway, Don's a pro. And he's my "guy" now, for all things TV related.

Don and Dave were extremely professional and thorough. They provided recommendations for which types of mounting brackets would work best for the proposed locations and tv types and an itemized estimate in case we chose to contract only parts of the job. They arrived on time and stayed all day making sure all our TVs worked before they left. They even programmed our remotes and left detailed notes about the installation for future reference. Finally, they followed up after the service to ensure that we were able to get our cable service provider to update our system as needed. I highly recommend this company and would utilize their services again.

Overall, it went just as I described above.

My basement had flooded and after the walls were opned up I needed some home thetre wiring moved to new locations in the basement. In a time crunch (due to the drywall being removed and new drywall about to be installed) Don was able to come out with very little notice and do the job beofre the walls were put back up. The work was solid and he was very helpful when responding to my many questions. All this was done over the phone because I couldnt get off of work, yet it still worked out ok..

I would give these guys, who know their stereo and A/V systems incredibly well (from working at Tweeter, United Audio and Western Audio for decades) the highest possible recommendation. Worth every penny. I had a really frustrating situation with one channel of audio cutting out and between solving that and integrating a bunch of new equipment (and my audio and my video), I am now in a new world of audio and video happiness thanks to Don and Dave.

Don and Dave showed up right on time and began evaluating our existing system and made some adjustments which made a huge and immediate difference. They noted that while some of our equipment is older, it worked great. While they were there, they hooked up our TV to the stereo speakers and gave us tips on how to buffer the sound that may transmit through the party walls to avoid disturbing our neighbors as well as tips on formats for downloading music from iTunes. We inquired about wireless systems, and they were a wealth of knowledge. They asked us a lot of questions to determine the right product for our needs. Whle we haven't decided yet if we'll go wireless, we'll definitely call them when we're ready. We found them to be very personable, knowledgable and experienced. In talking with them, we learned that they both had management experience working with Tweeter a company we held in high regard until they closed.

He was able to get all the speakers working properly. He also hooked up the Bose stereo to my free stand. He was very thorough and pleasant.
