Great recommendation for Homewise Remodelers! Our kitchen and powder room are beautiful and everything we had hoped for. Beginning when he came for our estimate and consultation, Mirek was able to provide a vision for our kitchen. We told him what we were thinking and, using his clear and extensive experience, he was able to put together a plan we loved. Homewise was not the cheapest, but we felt very confident in the service. The costs and timeframe were spot-on. The job was not without challenges; our kitchen and powder room were a complete redo- and we had some complex electrical issues to solve. Since it is a City town house, there are many stairs to carry things up and down. Throughout, the crew were on time and cleaned up each day. We lived in our home while the work went on, and the crew was very respectful of us. After completion, they returned promptly to complete all “punch-list” items. Thanks Mirek and Homewise!

The work was done in a timely manner and everything promised was delivered. The workers were courteous and kept the area clean. I had a couple of issues that needed fixing after the work was done and they were very responsive and took care of it within a day.

I was blown away. The bathroom now looks incredible. The two guys who did the physical work were so considerate and professional - and took pride in their work. They were very knowledgeable and I knew after the very first day I would get an excellent product. I appreciated all the services they offered, including hauling old materials away; doing the 'shopping' and giving frequent updates. The price, I believe was very fair, and the timing they told me was right on track. I would highly recommend this company to anyone - as they truly deserve the A+ rating.

Mirek and his team were fantastic. The work that they did was top-notch and the company was easy to work with. Homewise turned an under-utilized space in our basement into a fantastic guest room. Mirek helped make the most of the space by guiding us through how to maximize the little room that we had. I will definitely hire Mirek and his team for any other work that we need to have done.

I called Homewise even before I closed on a house recently because I had a short timeframe in which to complete a kitchen and bath renovation. I wanted it to be done before the school year started. Not only did Mirek work with me quickly, he helped me to understand what we could and could not do in that time. He also set reasonable parameters around cost/budget that were clearly stated from the outset. To start, he met me at the house and walked through everything I wanted. Cost was certainly an issue but so was quality, as the house was very dated and we wanted to bring it up to a more contemporary look. Mirek made great suggestions in the kitchen in particular that enabled our galley space to look more polished and refined than I had thought possible. Afterwards we received drawings and a detailed proposal and budget. It was higher than I had planned to spend, but it was a very fair and honest quote. Nothing in it was inflated or unreasonable. We ended up agreeing to the full proposal. In the kitchen we gutted to the walls, and replaced all cabinets and most appliances and all plumbing/accessories. In the main bath, we gutted an old tub and surround cover and replaced it with an elegant walk in shower with pebble tile base. Also replaced main vanity, counter and light. Cabinets and the granite counters were, frankly, nicer than I thought we'd end up with in this house. In a basement bath we retiled the floor and shower surround. More than all of the wonderful aesthetic assistance I had, the workers that were in my home started early, stayed all day, cleaned up every day, and left the space in wonderful condition, considering the amount of demo and work we had done. They were friendly, helpful and efficient. Also, their work was of a high quality. Things like grout being put in evenly and without cracks, cabinets drilled in evenly, and light installs and plumbing were all done well. We have lived in the space now for several weeks and it all continues to impress me as nothing has changed my mind on the overall quality. I have had renovations done before in other homes and there were always problems, to the point that I dreaded calling anyone to do anything for me. Homewise Remodeling changed that for me completely. I would not hesitate to use them again and have already referred them to several friends looking for home remodeling assistance. Thank you Mirek and your whole team for exceeding my expectations and helping us to make this house into a home so quickly. I am truly happy with everything and grateful for all of your help! They were initially slow to respond to contacts on Angie's List, however, once we connected everything was great. I did not have services performed. It's was wholly my fault. They gave me only weekday options for estimates. Each time there was an emergency meeting at my job. Not wanting to waste their time any further, I ultimately ceased pursuing an estimate.

From the first appointment for an estimate to the final day when the crew came back to complete some finishing touches, I found the team at Homewise Remodelers easy to work with, fair and honest. My interactions with Mirek, the owner, were always positive and he kept the lines of communication open. Martin and John, with a particular attention to detail, did stellar work. All went above and beyond to ensure the work was done on time and to my satisfaction. I am more than happy with the results and I will not hesitate to hire Homewise Remodelers again in the future.

As a first time remodeler, I went into this process unfamiliar with what to expect. Mirek and his team were fantastic. He gave a transparent and full bid, which included labor, kitchen cabinets and countertops. He was right in the middle of the bids I received. I was responsible for purchasing everything else needed, and he was very helpful in identifying everything needed and pointing me to good places, plus, his team picked up any oversized items for me. His crew was stellar and worked at what seemed like lightening speed without cutting any corners. 3.5 weeks for a kitchen and bath. They were on time, tidy, very respectful - and worked very hard. I'm thrilled with the results and would use Homewise again in a heartbeat!

We contacted Homewise for a major basement renovation, and Mirek was incredibly responsive in setting up the initial appointments. His estimates were comparable in quality and simultaneously notably lower in price than other remodelers. As we got closer to choosing Homewise, Mirek painted a clear picture of what to expect in terms of outcome, timeline, and any potential issues that may arise along the way. The timeline went smoothly, but as with any big project, there were some minor issues that came up. We had a few minor issues in the bathroom with some leaking, but those were quickly addressed and remedied. Mirek was incredibly patient with us when we dealt with a design choice (the shower) that didn't pan out how we originally planned. The shower lip was low to accommodate ease of entry, but this resulted in water splashing out from the shower curtain. Working with Mirek were able to add a shower door which totally solved the problem for a reasonable additional cost. Mirek was incredibly fair and easy to work with throughout the entire process. Most of the materials he selected and procured after some discussion, and we selected a few ourselves to streamline the selection process. The basement looks wonderful, and we are very happy with the guidance and support Mirek lent to us through the entire process. I would strongly recommend Homewise services and will certainly contact him again for our next major project.

This was a phenomenal experience from start. Mirek was very friendly and personable throughout the entire of the project. After listening to all of our questions and concerns during our initial meeting, he provided us with a beautiful design of what our new kitchen could look like. We were blown away. It was exactly as we had discussed and they were the most competitively priced compared to the other companies we talked with. The work started less than a month later, which was a pleasant surprise as it was sooner than we expected. Mirek met with us multiple times both before contract and during to make sure we were comfortable and happy. My wife and I are indecisive people and had some trouble making decisions on what materials to buy that would match. Despite our indecisiveness, Mirek always gave us great feedback and never rushed us into making decision. We were quoted a 3 week time frame which was half the time we were quoted by other companies and it was completed on time. The gentlemen who were brought to work on our home were complete professionals. They put plastic up everywhere to avoid dust going all over our house, worked until close to 6pm every weekday, and cleaned up everything at the end of every day. They were also very friendly. Our kitchen looks like it came straight out of a magazine. We could not be more pleased with how everything looks. Mirek and his employees are complete professionals and made sure everything was perfect. Homewise Remodelers will definitely be the first company we call for our next home remodel.

It was all good. I would recommend them. They were very professional and very clean. They had great craftsmanship. They were a little pricey.

Mirek responded to our request for an estimate in a timely manner and worked with us on the details until we were satisfied with what would be done and the cost. The work started as soon as we were ready for it. The workmen were very punctual and courteous and the workmanship was excellent. The work cost more than we we expected going into it, but Homewise's estimate was lower than the competition. We would look to Homewise for future work on our home.

Mirek, the owner of Homewise Remoders scheduled an appointment within days of my initial call to come to my home and provided me with what I felt was a competitive bid vs the others I had received. I met with him multiple times prior to signing a contract. He was generous with his time and patient to answer all questions I had(which was many) prior to moving forward with the remodel. He was good with ideas and was flexible during the process to make small changes or add's during the course of the project. He or his crew picked up all the materials for the job with the exception of those few I picked up which was agreed upon before the start of the job. The work by his team of Mario, Martin and Dad, was well done. They were always punctual and did a good job to minimize the mess. If I was dissatisfied with something, Mirek and team addressed it to my satisfaction. The job took less than 5 weeks. There were just a few follow ups afterwards, and they were promptly taken care of by Mirek and team. Overall very happy and would use them again.

Excellent is the best single word I can use to describe my experience with Homewise. Mario is a dedicated craftsman. As with any remodeling project unexpected things will come up. He developed creative solutions to all of them and I ended up with a better kitchen for it. He and his assistants were always there when they said they would be, worked hard while they were here and cleaned up well every evening. Despite unexpected issues final price was exactly as quoted prior to start. Duration was as quoted too. Communication throughout was very good as well.

Mirek was great. He gave us an estimate for cost and time, and both turned out to be completely accurate. He helped us figure out what kind of tub we wanted, and what tiles. He came with his team on the first day to get started, and talked us through the process, so we'd know exactly what to expect. They were all totally professional, and we're really happy with the results.

It went great. Mirek is very professional and upfront regarding the services they provide. He even gave us a long list of references. The ONLY reason why we were not able to use Homewise because the condo purchase just did not work out for us. Otherwise, we were all set to use them and I will definitely turn to them on our next project.

I have a 180-year-old house, though the bathroom was only a couple of decades old. Mario and Roman worked for 2.5 weeks to completely gut (square, level) and rehab the room. I purchased nearly all fixtures and materials myself, so these weren't included in the overall project cost (add another $3000; purchased mostly from Studio41, which I also recommend). Mario and Roman are terrific human beings, and fine people to have working in the house. Project manager Mirek is competent, and easy and pleasant to work with. Homewise was my second highest of 5 bids, and turned out to be a very good balance of quality and expense. I'd be happy to discuss and additional details with anyone interested in hiring Homewise for this sort of project.

All I can say is that I wish I could go back in time and hire Homewise to do my kitchen and bathroom remodel 2 years ago. I was very impressed with their quality of work / attention to detail, their punctuality, and their communication. Unlike my previous remodeling experience, Homewise arrived when they said they would and on time everyday, conferred with me on any and all project questions/changes, and completed the job in the time frame discussed. I will take all that over price so the fact that their price was also fair was icing on the cake. I will be calling on Mirek and Martin for all of my future projects.

They installed poor quality materials in my bathroom. My tub is already sinking in. I would never use them again.

I have a separate tub and shower in my master bath, but the shower was only about 32" x 32" and I wanted to enlarge it into my closet space, as well as replace everything (except the tub) to update the look of the bathroom. I also changed from having 2 sinks to one sink. The project took about 3 weeks to complete which was the estimate provided. The cost was also what I was quoted. Work included the following: break into closet wall, create new wall, pour new shower floor, all new tile, install vanity, fixtures, paint, plumbing and lighting (including dimmers on every switch which I really wanted). Everything was beautifully done and the disruption was minimal! Their attention to detail is wonderful and really makes a difference in a bathroom where you need to line up tile perfectly. The guys always cleaned up at the end of each day and were friendly and professional. After the work was completed, I had a problem with a drain stopper and leaking under my bathroom sink, and they came out right away to fix it. And they have a one year guarantee, so I know I can call them if anything else comes up. Overall, I am extremely pleased with my experience in working with Mirek, Mario and the other Homewise Remodelers staff, and have already referred them to some friends!

I recommend Homewise enthusiastically and unequivocally. Their quality and service are outstanding. The Set Up: Construction defect - the shower leaked Two years ago we purchased a condo that had been built just three years earlier. During our home inspection, there was no indication of problems in the master bathroom. After living in the unit for two years, we discovered a latent construction defect: the shower leaked. When we pulled up the tile on the floor, we found that the subfloor was rotted. Contractor Selection: Flexibility We did not know the full extent of the damage in the bathroom. As a result, we wanted a contractor that would be flexible and also someone we could trust to work with us fairly if the damage was more extensive--or less involved--than initially estimated. We asked three Angie's List A-rated contractors to bid the work. Homewise and another contractor offered comparable prices. The third contractor was ~$2000 more, primarily because he stated flatly that we would need to rip out the entire bathroom and start over. Two things set Homewise apart. First, they seemed the most flexible in how they would work with us. Mirek (the owner) offered us a base bid that covered the visible damage plus an option if the (unseen) damage encompassed the entire bathroom. Second, although we didn't ask for design assistance, it was apparent that Mirek has an excellent design sense. As we toured the kitchen and bathroom, has asked questions and offered suggestions that showed he knew both the construction details and had a good design aesthetic. The Work: Beautiful! Truly high quality craftsmanship is hard to find these days. The Homewise team (Martin and John) delivered it. Precise, detailed, exacting, really clean. Just outstanding work. Scope of work: about half of the bathroom needed to be demolished down to the studs. Project had a 3 week total duration. The Issues: Resolved We ran into some issues during the course of the project, some at our request, others in conjunction with the work being done. I learned three things about Homewise that reaffirmed our decision to work with them. 1) Mirek expects all of his jobs to be flawless. Most contractors I've ever worked with had an attitude that "stuff happens." They basically expect it. Mirek's standard of performance for himself and his crew is that everything will go without a hitch. That attitude was amazingly refreshing. 2) Well things did happen. Mirek responded immediately. Instantly really. 3) Mirek's focus when addressing the issues was clear and simple: ensuring that his customer (my wife and I) were satisfied. He was upfront and explicit about this. He wanted us to be satisfied. The damage to the bathroom was more than we initially thought, but less than we feared. When it came time to discuss pricing for the extra work (above the base bid), I thought Mirek's request was completely reasonable and I agreed with it straightaway. Finished Product: A Showcase Both our kitchen and new bathroom are gorgeous. The quality and pride of Martin and John's craftsmanship clearly shines through. We strongly endorse Homewise for your home project!

He was prompt and very professional. The level of responsiveness and email communication were excellent. We had a nice discussion about the project and his estimate was in line with the others we received. I would ask him to come and give an estimate again in the future.
