At the time of the service call I had a new baby (approx 3 months old) and the boiler stopped working. I called on a Friday and scheduled a Saturday service call. I expected to pay a premium for short notice and a Saturday appointment. The temperature continued to drop and the house got very cold. Toward the end of the Saturday I called because no one had come to look at the furnace. I was assured that the repairman was out and would show up. He didn't. I called the Heatmaster emergency number on Sunday and was told that I never had an appointment on Saturday and that a Sunday appointment would cost me an additional $100. I paid it. I watched the repairman and now know how to replace the $14 part myself. This was four years ago. I write this report now because I get a phone call every spring and fall from Heatmaster recommending that they come out to perform preventative maintenance on my boiler. Every time I tell them to remove me from their calling list and remind them of my experience. They still have not taken me off their call list. So here I write...

Everything has gone quite well. I would certainly recommend them.

Very good service. They explained what was wrong in simple terms and showed me everything they would work on. Went over the billing and costs in detail.

They are always here when I need them.

They did the preliminary work, which included the removal of a wall, on Dec. 22. They returned at 8:30AM on Dec 23. They were about to finish at 7:30 PM when they ran into a problem with a malfunctioning safety valve on the boiler which would send heat to my second floor apartment. At 10:30 PM, they were still trying to get heat to my apartment. They didn't want to leave without getting heat up to me, but they needed a replacement part. I told them to go home and get some sleep, telling them that I'm a camper and would be fine with an electric heater and an electric blanket. They returned at 8:30 AM on Christmas Eve with the replacement part. They worked another half of a day changing the part, replacing the wall that they had to remove to get the old boiler out and the new ones in, and cleaning up. I think this job was more time consuming than they thought, but did not charge me any more than the estimated cost.

I have been very satisfied with them. I have been with them for the past 5 years.

It took 9 business days to get it properly diagnosed and the part installed. About 1 month ago, at the regular maintenance check the serviceman had some difficulty getting it started, but was able to and thought it was OK. When we then tried to turn it on 11 days ago it would not start. The serviceman came back the next day after our call, tried to install new part but could not get any he had with him to work. Returned next day with another part, installed it, had furnace running and left. Next morning it would not work again. I called for someone with more experience, Madry came, ran computer check, ascertained problem was with gas valve. He made temporary fix to keep us going until part could be obtained. Yesterday they got the part and today he installed it. The furnace seems to be working. Heatmasters credited the charges to us for the two failed service visits and part that was not needed.

We have been using their services for about ten years. They are pretty efficient as far as getting an appointment and they come when they say they will come. Their service people have always been friendly and helpful.

They have provided excellent service. They have always been good to me and they go beyond what they have to. They are not that cheap but its worth it. They are in a reasonable range.

I called them at night, they called back right away and came the next morning to do the service. They did a good job and seemed to get things taken care of. I will use them again.

They were clean and they were very prompt. They addressed any problems immediately and were very informative throughout the process and explained everything to me. I am unable to rate the pricing due to this was the only estimate. I have used them in the past and will continue to.

They are always very prompt in arriving and do a very thorough job. I have purchased 4 different furnaces from them for a couple different houses. I have used them for many years and they have always provided excellent service.

I switched from a company because Heatmasters is more professional. They do their job well.

Contractor arrived on time, but installation took longer than expected because they brought the wrong coil.

We have happily used Heatmasters for over four years now and have not had any type of problems with their service. They are very reliable and are always helpful to us. It's easy to recommend them to other people.

They allow you to buy a three year contract at 90-100 dollars. I didn't find those rates to be terribly expensive for the value they give you. I liked that they are also very clean and they give you a summary of their findings.

Very happy with the service and will use them again.

Everyone I dealt with there was great -- from the salesman, to the project manager, to the workmen. They were all very easy to work with, and they did exactly what was promised, on time, and with no hassles.

Call to telephone answering service not relayed to service department. Called later in AM to verify appointment, but service department had no record. Set appointment for 4 hour window in afternoon same day. Technician came within appointment window and fixed problem within 15 minutes of arrival. Heatmasters did original installation several years ago and have used them for annual maintenance and service calls.

I appreciate the way Heatmasters handled my feedback on why we didn't choose them and will reconsider them in the future. I noticed that on Angie's List, Heatmasters had once been an A company and their ranking is now a B. I think that my feedback to them may help them to see how they can improve.

I called them on a Saturday and they came out on the following Monday. The representative arrived and turned the furnace back on again and it worked. We discovered that there was a moisture pump that had plugged up and was the cause of the shut down. This irritated me because they were the ones who were supposed to be maintaining the system. He left, without cleaning anything. Apparently, he had left a hose loose (it later came off) and they charged me again to come out and fix this. I no longer use them.

They were very prompt and professional. They finished in a timely manner and there were no problems.

The service guy was pleasant and on-time. He advised us that we need to replace our furnace and should not use it any longer due to a risk of carbon monoxide leaking into the building.

Know that if you hire this company to do any work for you, you are signing up for a lifetime of obnoxious sales calls. The woman who makes the calls is pushy and rude, and the company has ignored our repeated requests to be removed from their call list.
