Prompt, friendly, good advice (we'd bought a fan, but he suggested just replacing the old innards; much cheaper). I was worried it'd be way expensive but it wasn't. I will call them first next time I need an electrician.

Todd was great. He was very friendly and made sure we knew what he was doing the whole time. He was very punctual and gave me a timeframe on when he was going to be here. I am actually going to have him come by and do some more work in a few weeks.

Pete Zillner contacted us within 24 hours of my email to Hardt Electric. He told me the approximate cost when we talked. He arrived right on time and worked for several hours. He was very professional and friendly. Pete --removed and replaced 3 chandeliers --removed 2 ceiling fans --removed several flush mounted ceiling lights --removed 2 pendant lights --installed 3 dimmer switches --repaired outlets that had not been installed correctly --replaced several outlet faceplates that the previous owners had broken We have 11 ft. ceilings so much of the work was done on a ladder. The work was very well done and Pete gave us great advice on LED installations and some future work we want to do.

Todd contacted me quickly after submitting a request. He came over that afternoon. We have an old house that we recently purchased that had been having some problems with a few outlets. Todd found the problem quickly, removed the old original wires and replaced them to ensure the problem would not come back. He also found a buried light switch so we could have a switch in our living room. Everything works great now and we have not had any problems since. The price was reasonable for the quality and thoroughness of the work. I look forward to working with him again in the future.

very professional. He installed wood into the attic floor to be able to handle the weight of ceiling fan and light for a stairway. Then quickly installed outside lighting in soffit. He also installed permanent light in attic and removed outlet that was not code.

Todd was great. Arrived within 30 minutes for a last-minute emergency call (lucky for us he was in the neighborhood already) and quickly fixed the issue. He texted to let us know when he was 5 minutes away so we were ready for him, worked fast, and was very professional. Provided us with a few recommendations and suggestions for preventing problems in the future. He will be my first call if we have any other electrician needs in the future.

Todd answered my call immediately. We discussed the project and what most likely would be needed. This allowed him to give us a price estimate over the phone. It was very reasonable vs. other quotes we had gotten (approximate 1/3 of the cost). He also was available almost immediately. All of this plus the other reviews of his work and his professionalism and knowledge of the situation during the call, led us to hire him right away. We weren't disappointed. Even running into a few issues on the installation of the light (which is why we stopped trying to do it ourselves), he did an awesome job. Don't hesitate to hire him!!!

I was having some intermittent problems with some can lights in the ceiling of a rental apartment. Todd came out and located the problem, replaced some wiring in which a drywall screw had pierced, and also fixed some mis-wiring. It took him 2.5 hours. He was friendly, efficient, and professional. Great experience and will use again if needed.

Great, I had waited to long to schedule, he was able to fit me into his schedule and get the work done. He was able to get the job done quickly. He made suggestions to improve the stability of the fan and he replaced some old wiring while he was at it.

Todd was on time and did a great job on the project. Probably not the cheapest option, however, very efficicent and seemed very knowledgeable about his trade.

I was replacing a ceiling fan and an old wire broke off inside the conduit. Now it was beyond my capability to continue. I contacted Hardt Electric through Angie's List late on a Friday afternoon and Todd responded immediately. We scheduled a service call for the next Tuesday. Todd showed up right on time. Not only was the ceiling box not appropriate to hang a ceiling fan, there was not enough play in the old conduit to get the broken wire long enough to be able to use that box anyway. Todd's solution was to relocate the fan box in order to get enough wire to hook up the fixture and to provide a secure mount for the fan. He cut a new hole in the ceiling right over a joist, pulled the wires into that area and attached the new ceiling box directly to the joist. I do have to cover the old location with a blank canopy to cover up the old wiring. But any other method would have required to rip up the attic in order to fix the old box and get enough wire length into it. This seemed like a good solution and expertly handled by Todd. He also completed the installation of the ceiling fan. While probably not the cheapest option (although i don't know for sure since I did not have anyone else look at it), you get what you pay for and I'm happy with the work performed. I do intend to get him out to the house again to deal with a few other electrical issues.

Todd is great to work with. Had scheduled an appointment for the week of 7/13/2015, but Todd had some available time the week before and called to see if he could come by. I was available. He quickly installed the outlet and was really easy to work with and friendly. Definitely would use them again.

I called in the morning and Todd got back to me right away. He was able to fit me in that afternoon. We are really pleased with our new fixture.

Todd was really good. He was easy to work with and seemed to do a very good job changing out the fixtures, outlets, and light switch. My only criticism was that his company would not allow him to give me or make a copy of the receipt from Home Depot for the fixtures and bulbs he bought. Even though Hardt was a little bit pricier than a few other companies I spoke with, I ultimately went with them because (a) they give a Angies discount on the first hour which I always appreciate and (b) Todd made me feel confident in his work when I spoke with him on the phone.

I have used several electricians in the past at various properties. Todd is the most professional electrician I have encountered. This was a small job, and Todd fit me in within 24 hours from when I called him. He arrived on time and was courteous and professional. He took off his shoes inside the house and cleaned up after himself. He did a great job with my antique light fixture, and while it wasn't a huge job he handled it like it was. He also explained some of the things he was doing as he went along, which I appreciated. Todd said that he does all of his work as if he was working on his own home...which I definitely believe. The job went a little past one hour and he charged me just for the hour and honored the Angie's list discount. The project was literally done within 24 hours of my initial Angie's list search. All in all this was a great service experience. I will absolutely use Todd as my electrician moving forward on any size project.

In a nutshell, Todd is responsive to initial inquiries, clear in his communications, performs his work at the most competent levels and is absolutely the type of electrician you would want for your home electrical projects. He is terrific at his craft and trade and I was lucky to connect with him through Angie's List.

Finally found an honest/skilled electrician along with a great support staff in his home office. I couldn't be happier with the installation/pricing. I really like the fact that Todd responds in nearly real time via eMail or Text. All of my questions/concerns were addressed and he can pretty much do whatever you require. His Home office was fast to provide me with all of the info/certificates i needed for the IL EVSE rebate program. During installation, there were no hiccups. Even with a bit of a design flaw in the Charge Station, he was able to quickly find a solution to overcome it. He tested the unit and it's working perfectly. Todd will be my goto guy for all electrical work in the future!
