Handy House Cleaning

I have never felt more taken advantage of my life. Charged for 5 hours, the guy was here for just over 2, and now I have to clean the house because I’m not sure what if anything was done!!! I would never hire these people again, and may never use Angieslist again after this either.

Appointment was at 11.30AM. Less than an hour before appointment, i am receiving email/sms that cleaner has an emergency and appointment is cancelled. Very disappointed and there is no way i can contact besides email. They did return my money, but its too short time notice that didn’t work for me. No one bothered to give me a call and offer some other alternative.

What a HORRIBLE company. First, they trick you into thinking you can choose whatever "pro" you want based on the pro's ratings, when in fact, they assign you a choice of only 5 or 6. I had none assigned to me with the highest rating. Then, after being forced to choose from a sub-par list, I made my cleaning schedule, but there was no guarantee that I would get this person again the next time, so there goes the consistency and accountability. The morning of our scheduled cleaning, when I was having a dinner party that night, the "pro" showed up, saw our cat, and left. Yes, our CAT. Not a pit bull, not a python, a cat. So she called my husband to tell him that her profile says "no cats." Well, we were never given access to her profile, nor were there any questions in the forms I completed asking if we had any pets. Handy did NOT send an immediate replacement, so after I got home from work, I had to have a dinner party in a house that was not cleaned at all. I contacted Handy and asked for a phone call. NO PHONE CALL, and it has now been THREE DAYS. I've emailed them and contacted them through the app 5 times now, and the ONLY response I get is that they are going to get back to me when their volume isn't so high. A robo-reply. NO one from the company has called or emailed me to resolve this. I cancelled my plan. This is ridiculous. You think that in going with a company that has such a high rating, this would never happen, but not only did it happen, they won't even respond to me. DO NOT book Handy. You will regret it!!!
