Provider diagnosed root cause of intermittent heat as insufficient airflow due to vent pipes being too small. Replaced pipes to increase diameter and reduce turns, thereby increasing airflow. No problems since work completed.

We like them and we have been using them for years. They come out in the spring and fall. They call and let me know when they are coming. I have a packaged deal with them. If it is their problem, there is no charge to me. They are within my budget. I will keep using them and I have recommended them to my clientele and they like them.

When we came home after a couple of days out-of-town, the furnace was making a very loud humming noise and the apartment was no warmer than 60F. I called the provider the next morning and they sent out a technician, who showed up less than one hour after I called. He quickly diagnosed the issue and checked out everything else. He was able to make the repairs and replace the inducer motor right away as he had all the necessary parts with him in the truck. The technician seemed very knowledgeable and professional and he instilled a sense of trust that he knew what he was doing.

The furnace went out the night before, luckily it was not too cold. I had to work in the morning and couldn’t call anyone until the afternoon. In the middle of the afternoon, I called 3 places. Guardian was able to book a technician right away to arrive within a 4 hour window which I thought was fair. I was happy to speak to a live person instead of a recording). The technician, Tasso, arrived within an hour and was personable and friendly. The service call was $95 and the part to be replaced was $254. The work was professionally done and done quickly. I would definitely use them again.

The installers were pleasant and professional. They showed up on time and were diligent about their work. They did some extra finishing work on the edges around where the filter went in to protect me from cutting myself which was not initially part of the agreement and they did not charge me for! I would gladly use them again and readily recommend them.

I live 3 hours away and the tenant called saying the heat went out overnight. The pilot light was out, tenant lit pilot and followed instructions, but pilot wouldn't stay lit. We've had this problem before as it's a very old furnace. I assumed the thermocouple burned out and I turned out being correct. It's a very inexpensive part, less than $10.00 and fairly easy to replace as I've done it before. I got on Angies list and they ended up being my 4th call. The others I called, I either received a voice mail or a receptionist that said they would call me back. Guardian took my call, got out a technician and had the heater fixed before I even heard back from any of the other providers. I felt it was a little expensive because I've done it before and it was cheap and easy. But they did make a service call, were there within a few hours and had it fixed right away. With that being said I was very happy with the service and will probably call them next time 1st! (Let's hope there isn't a next time.) They also quoted a new furnace since mine is almost 40 years old and the quote seemed reasonable.

Wonderful! I called the night before when we found the water. The office was not open, but I could have opted to get the technician on duty. I left a message that I could wait til the next morning. They called bright and early and had a technician here within 30 minutes. He did a marvelous job! He found the leak, showed me it needed to have the nut tightened. We looked at the other baseboard radiator. When I turned the knob on and off it also leaked. He tightened that as well. While he was here he did the service call on our a/c from our contract. We signed another contract and paid for 6 service maintenance calls for heating and a/c as the seasons change. The 6 calls totaled $495. They were kind enough to include the visit to fix the loose nuts at no extra charge. We have used Guardian for over 30 years and have had wonderful experiences EVERY time! This was just one of the many great service calls with them. Thank you, Guardian!!!

My air conditioning unit had not been cleaned/serviced in years because I wasn't inclined to use the group that replaced the unit for me several years ago. During one of the recent heat waves, my unit was working, but struggling to get my house cool enough. I called Guardian based on Angie's List comments. The heat wave was so extreme at that time, that cleaning appointments like mine for new custmoers were not being scheduled on any sort of immediate basis. I thought that was entirely appropriate and was impressed with staff I spoke to, so i decided to schedule an appointment for when I returned from vacation in about 10 days (I could have gotten scheduled earlier had I been in town). I was extremely pleased. I had a very reasonable service window, and the company called when the technician was on the way to my house. Frank was excellent. He not only did a thorough and professional job, but he was patient with my many questions and walked through everything I needed to know. I really appreciated being educated a little bit about things to watch out for and things that I can be doing to make sure that my unit is operating efficiently. My unit was actually in pretty good shape, it just needed a good cleaning. The service was so excellent that I signed a longer term maintenance agreement and Guardian will be my servicer for the foreseeable future. Thank you Frank and Guardian - really first rate!

The first attempt for service was unsuccessful as it was raining and the serviceman would have had to be on a slightly sloping roof, 3 stories above the ground. The second attempt went very well. The serviceman arrived on time. He was personable and was more than able and willing to explain what he was doing, why he was doing it, and what the issues were. He recharged both A/C units for a total of 5 lbs of freon and explained that, given the age of the units, that was in the normal range for leakage/loss over the course of a year. The only issue I have is that I requested he/they email an estimate for replacement of the HVAC system(both furnace and A/C). It's been a week and I have yet to receive the estimate. I will be following up with a phone call as I'm sure it's a simple mistake. The serviceman was professional, quick, and didn't try to hard-sell me which I appreciate. Soft-selling using honesty and explaining all the options is the best way to go. It's clear to me that he believes in the equipment the company uses and that it is superior to the competition.

Guardian's technicians (Javier & Pat) were very professional, punctual, and informative. Did a routine seasonal AC inspection. The technicians pointed out several helpful pointers about system maintenance. Pricing was very reasonable. Went above and beyond in fixing small non-necessities such as gluing PVC pipe. Provided quotes for potential areas that could be considered for upgrade (e.g., humidifier) without pressure or attempts to upsell. I will be contacting Guardian again for future HVAC servicing.

I contacted the company and set up an appointment time. The technician arrived on time and completed the work in a professional and courteous manner. The work was done and we have not had any trouble with the heating system in the 2 months since the visit. The technician also provided a helpful hint regarding the humidifier. We are very pleased with the work and would recommend this company to others.

We have had them for years to clean our furnaces. They have also installed a couple of water heaters. They have a program where you get so many cleanings in a year. It has been a positive experience working with them. They are always on time. They do good work and they guarantee it. One time we had a problem with one of our furnaces. We had some work done in the house and they shut off the hot water that goes to the furnace. They forgot to turn it back on. So when we fired up the furnace, it burned out because there was no water to heat up. So they backed us up when we told the contractor what happened. This was about five or six years ago. They backed us up on that and claimed that the contractor guys forgot to turn on the water to our furnace. So the contractor got us a new furnace and it was installed by Guardian Heating.

We had someone from the company out for an estimate. He advised us on the pros and cons of different water heater options. We appreciated the information and it helped us decide against a tankless model. He also showed us our options for where we could move the water heater and how a certain type could work with our existing boiler. We were able to schedule installation for a Saturday which was convenient for us. The installers were on-time, friendly, and efficient. Would definitely use again.

It went very well. The company was referred to me by a friend who installed a second furnace for my addition but has since injured his back and can not get into the crawl space.

Technician reported on time. Technician was courteous, professional and competent. He remained on the job until both he and I were satifisfied that the A/C unit was functioning according to specs.

They were really good. It all went great. They were on time, very professional.

Bob came at the appointed time to provide an estimate. After agreeing to the work, the crew arrived on time and spent about 6 hours at our house. After the initial work was completed, two issues were identified: (1) one of the new vents was not placed where corrected and (2) when the thermostat was moved, the wiring was left exposed in the closet. I called the office later that day and spoke with Bob's assistant who agreed to send a crew back the following day. The following day, the crew spent about 3 hours at the house, completed the work to our satisfaction.

They were so responsive to our needs, they came the very next morning and got our furnace fixed.

A different technician came out and corrected the problem. I questioned the first service call and the part that was repaired. So the technician called the owner and the owner offered us two choices that they can replace the new part back with the old part or to keep the new part on the igniter and pay half the cost. They also only charged one service call. We were happy that they gave us two choices and we thought the price was reasonable.

They are proactive in calling me about tune ups in the Spring and Fall and I have always been pleased with their work.

The job went perfectly. They came out and fairly quickly diagnosed that it was simply a matter of it not being wired correctly by the builder. They had initially thought it was a transformer that they had a replacement for in the truck. After hooking up the transformer they realized it was the wiring. Upon wiring it correctly, they were honest and removed the new transformer and only charged me the minimum charge for the visit.

They never showed up, and I decided to use a company with their act together more instead.

They come out twice a year for maintenance. We have used them for over fifteen years. They are very responsive.
