This review is overdue, but not for lack of enthusiasm. Aaron and his team were responsible, professional, and courteous. Aaron was patient with my questions about colors and paints, as well as later concerns about touch-ups. He was also willing to work with us regarding scheduling and was generally very easy to work with and responsive. Aaron also went the extra mile and left us with some extra paint for touching up our cabinets. Their quote was not the lowest we received, but he and his team are well worth it. Highly recommended.

We were really happy with the work Groff Painting did in painting our two flat! They were very responsive on the quoting and completed the project in the agreed upon 3 week time frame (rainy season). Our co-neighbors received a cash offer the next day! Working with Aaron and his team was professional from the start of the project. Aaron came to our home and collectively partnered with us to choose colors. His offer to have either swatches or painted samples was very appreciated, as this long overdue project required a radical change. The project required his team to removed chipping from previous paint and hand stain from the street level up to 3 lofted stories to a highly pitched roof. In addition to the paint, they needed to remove a very heavy iron balcony 3 stories up from the inside out. They also added new trim to the front of the windows plus painted the garage and attached deck. Special thanks to Aaron and his team: Dennis, Vincent and Edgar!

We had to do a lot of painting before a graduation party this past spring. Aaron came out quickly and gave us a quote and we had our 1st floor painted within a week of my call. . His quote was clear and broken down so it was easy for us to decide what we wanted done and what we could wait on -- I highly recommend Groff Painting

Tom was fantastic. The weather did not cooperate but he was always there when there was a break in the weather. He and his crew were paying close attention to detail and they did a remarkably good job. We are extremely happy with their work. The only glitch was that we needed a new deck on our front porch. The carpenter, and I use that term loosely, did a horrible job. I am certain I was overcharged and the work was of very poor quality. I would suggest that using Groff is a great idea for painting but you should find your own carpenter for any repairs necessary. Both Aaron and Tom apologized for the quality of the carpentry and said the carpenter was an outside contractor that would not work for them again. That was nice, but I would have like a small discount on the overall job for, what I consider, their carpenter's poor work.

The walls were ok but had paint drips, uneven paint along the chair rail and baseboards and white paint on our stained wooden floors. These issues were corrected after pointing them out several times. On the stairs the paint again was uneven, air bubbles, and running over the edges on the stained floor. The painters seemed to be in a rush to get the job done and making a mess of things. What really surprised/disappointed us was that the owner never came during the job to check the quality of the work being done. It wasn?t until the end that he saw all the issues and had to spend more time correcting them. I wouldn't recommend this company to friends, there must be plenty of others who can do a better job.

The painters at Groff Painting did a great job painting the exterior of our home. The work was on budget, on schedule and of the highest quality. They also followed up and did minor touch-up painting at the end of the project. We are very pleased with the results and will hire them again for future work.

Aaron came and did the original estimate. 2 different workers came and performed the actual work. Joel and the other worker (I didn't catch his name) were extremely professional and courteous. They performed the work quickly and paid attention to detail. They even swept the floor rather than vacuuming because my daughter was sleeping (they did this without me even asking). I would definitely use this company again, and specifically would request Joel.

He was attentive, detailed, and did a fine job. I hope to use him for painting soon.

Well apparently he subcontracted the work and the painters only painted half of gutters and trim- also I spoke with my neighbor and apparently the subcontractors had to borrow my neighbors ladder- I explained this to Aaron how this is not right and Aaron took care of this. The results of the work was good however I had to really baby-sit this job a lot. I did not pay until the job was complete and upon my inspection they did a good job- however probably would not use them again! You get what you pay for!!!

We could not have been more pleased with every aspect of this company from beginning to end. Aaron is a delight to work with. His sense of color selection was spot on. He was the type of professional that one wants to work with. His staff worked with excellence and diligence. They did a fantastic and meticulous and timely job. I will definitely choose to work with Groff Painting for all our painting needs.

They quoted me about $2400. I was actually getting a list of people from Angie's List who were rated well and these people were rated nicely and did good quality work. My interaction with them was fantastic and I would use them in the future.

Very well, so well that my neighbor hired them

Initially, hired him to paint a home office and bedroom. He did a great job on the office, and with the faux finish we put in the bedroom (looks like raw concrete). He did a sample board so we knew what it would look like. Then we also had him repaint another bedroom, and he helped me pick an accent color for the tray ceiling that looks great. Then I had him come back and he painted some Pottery Barn shelves from white to a nice brown/wood color, AND, the most amazing thing was he was able to finish a set of custom shelves I bought from a custom wood worker online who couldn't get the color right. Aaron said he'd be able to match the color to my basement cabinet, so I had the guy send the shelves unfinished, and Aaron picked them up, finished them, and brought them back DONE. He got the color exactly right, even though there weren't any samples of the cabinet color to take with him. (And this was after 4 times of going back and forth the the shelve maker trying to get the color close to what I needed.) Aaron also helped me decide on a dollar amount to withhold from the shelve maker, since I had paid for finished shelves, not raw, which must have been fair because the guy didnt argue and sent my shelves. Aaron has a real eye for color and is a true artist, not just a painter. Also, the guy he sent to my house to do some of the regular wall painting was very nice, quiet, cleaned up after his work, and did a phenomenal job. I am planning on having them come back and refinish our mahogany front door when the weather breaks.

Great. On schedule with tight window. Owner came to do cost ahead of time and assess job. Gave me a great price. Came at the end to inspect. Everything was neat and clean when they left. Did little things I decided after the fact with no hesitancy. Would always use them and highly recommend them.

He is a delightful young man who goes out of his way to make sure you are 100% satisfied. Cannot say enough good things about them....

Owner was responsive and accommodating. The painter he sent was friendly and professional, but not as thorough or detail oriented as I had hoped. The owner had to send him back to touch up the walls on another day because he had missed some fairly obvious spots. He had also spilled some paint on my shower curtain, but the owner graciously replaced it.

Tony was prompt, courteous, neat and did an amazing job. Finished the whole kitchen within 3 hours. I would definitely use them again and request Tony.

They came in, prepped the area, and got to work right away. They finished in less than 3 hours, and left the space clean.

I have nothing but glowing things to say about our experience with Groff, and Tony our painter in particular. We purchased an Angie?s List Deal for a room painting for our nursery and added on one coat of paint for the trim for a very reasonable price. We live in a vintage building and the trim was in disastrous shape. I had very little hope of it looking nice, just wanted it to be freshly painted. Tony worked magic. He removed tons of cracked excess paint, caulked it, and made it look amazing! He also patched a crack in the ceiling un-prompted. The room is beautiful and ready to welcome our baby now. I?m very grateful to Groff and appreciative of the extra mile they went.

I had some trouble scheduling the appointment. There was a cancelled day on the day of a historic deep freeze and then my next appoint was missed somehow. When Tony finally came out to paint it all went very well. He was professional and pleasant. I think he did a great job and gave me some painting pointers along the way. I' definitely use Tony again for future jobs.

I was very pleased. Both Aaron (who I arranged the work with) and Tony (who did the work) are extremely nice. I was able to be scheduled quite soon after I made the initial call. Tony arrived on time and worked very hard. He barely took any breaks and the few he did take were only 5 min. I did notice a small glob of (cement or caulk?) in the bathroom sink and I don't know if Tony would have noticed it had I not but in general he was quite careful. I didn't have a broom as it is a new place and he got down on hands and knees with a cloth to make sure all the dust was wiped off the floor. He seemed eager to please and made sure I was satisfied before he left. The price was great because I used an Angie's list deal. The only possible reason if I were not to use them in the future would have to be price, as I have not yet compared their regular prices with others. They definitely get an A for quality of work (and niceness!)

Aaron was quick to schedule an appointment with me. His team, Tony and Edgar, arrived promptly and got right to work. They painted a master bath that a previous painter did not finish and touched up 2 walls that needed repair. The work was done quickly and very well. They cleaned everything up after and were very courteous! I would use them again!
