Mike arrived on time after giving me a "heads up" call ten minutes in advance. He accessed the problems we were experiencing with our two toilets, recommended the appropriate fixes and provided me with a firm cost for doing the work. In about an hour, the work was completed. Mike took the time to review our options and then once we decided what work would be done, he gave me what I believe is a fair price. Mike conducted himself as a competent professional and while I'm confident in the quality of the work performed, it was reassuring to hear Mike discuss the two year warranty on parts and service. I will certainly call Goode Plumbing when future plumbing needs arise. In fact, I plan to submit the company's name for a quote on a sewer project for our condo association.

We live in a fairly new house with a single tankless hot water heater that wasn't meeting our needs. If we needed to do one thing--e.g., wash dishes, run the clothes washer, take a shower, etc.--we were fine, but if we tried to do two or more things at the same time, we'd quickly run out of hot water. We consulted with several plumbers about various options--adding another tankless, adding a tank, switching to a hybrid, etc.--and got very frustrated by the general lack of responsiveness as well as outrageous price quotes. After reading their glowing reviews on Angie's List, I called Mike Goode. Mike came out and we discussed various options. Our mechanical room isn't very big; we needed to find a solution that that would fit the room and would fit our budget. Mike recommended the Vertex--an expensive but very efficient high-capacity hot water heater with a footprint that would work. MIke's price quote was also quite reasonable; in fact, it was nearly half the quote from another apparently well-respected plumber we talked to. Jeff and Ernie from Goode Plumbing installed the heater toward the end of April. They were friendly, neat, and unobtrusive, and completed the job in one day. The Vertex works great. I've already forgotten what it's like to run out of hot water mid shower. Overall, we are very happy with our experience with Goode Plumbing and intend to use them again in the future.

Went fine. Was surprised to see that I had been sold a faulty part but glad to see it was fixable. Appreciate Mike Goode's being able to send somebody out to a new customer as quick as he did as we were leaving town shortly.

I called Goode's after researching on Angie's list--as with other posters, my call was returned within about 15 minutes. I was told that perhaps they could come out that day and that he would keep me posted. He did keep me posted and did come out the same day. See my comment above for the rest.

Mike arrived on time, diagnosed the problem, explained what had to be done and the possible complications, and gave me an estimate of the time and cost. He did the work very quickly (THE SAME DAY), charged me what he said he would, and left the place immaculate. He said he thought he might have to go to a supply store for a part, but found he had it in his truck so didn't have to make a run. He also went beyond the call of duty and caulked and shined up everything. I have had three other plumbers come to look at this problem in the past year. One told me a part had to be ordered and the spa tub had to be removed in order to fix it. One promised to find the part and call me when it came in, but never called back or returned my calls. The third just disappeared. I would have rated Mike as "great" even without the previous problems, but he is especially great in comparison to what is out there. I am going to give his name to all of my friends, especially the ones who referred me to the other three plumbers who were entirely unsatisfactory and will use him for anything else that comes up in the future.

Our 5 year old garbage disposal was completely fried after much heavy use over the years, the kitchen faucet also dripped quite frequently. After we decided we could no longer take it, we asked around for a reliable plumber. Mike came highly recommended by Community Home Supply's staff and a review of the postings on Angie's List gave the same endorsement. So, we gave Mike a call. Although he was quite busy (no doubt a testament to his good work), we eventually settled on a date and time for the repair. Mike was very prompt, diagnosed the problems quickly, gave us an estimate for the work (installation on a new disposal and the cost of a new disposal) and provide a recommendation on how best to fix the dripping faucet. While we didnt end up fixing the dripping faucet we are now aware of our options on how best to/when to fix it and its subsequent cost. Mike wore shoe covers to protect our floors, he was prompt, his work was incredibly neat and he cleaned up following the job. Although it has been less than a week, we've used the disposal several times daily and it works like the efficient pro disposal that it is. We would certainly hire Mike for future plumbing projects and would recommend him to our family and friends.

One of our 40 gallon water heaters was starting to go so we got an estimate from Goode for a replacement. Mike suggested replacing the 2 40 gallon water heaters with one highly efficient 50 gallon water heater. The plumbers came early on the appointed day and they had the old water heaters removed and the new one installed by late afternoon. They hooked up the power vent water heater to outside air intake and outflow PVC pipes using existing pipes from the previous heaters. There was a minor leak from the outflow PVC pipe and they came back later to repair the PVC pipe connection at no extra charge. They did excellent work with the installation and cleanup. I had some questions about the billing but Mike cleared it up over a phone conversation. Overall it was a very good experience.

I am a repeat client of Goode plumbing and will be again when the time arises.

Mike Goode was extremely responsive to my request for an estimate, contacting me within 3 hours! He came out exactly on time for our appointment, and put 'booties' on his shoes prior to entering the house. Mike was very thorough in his estimate, answered all of my questions and provided recommendations on manufacturers of sinks and faucets. As I opted to purchase my own sink and faucet (I did not want another stainless steel sink), I indicated I would contact him as soon as they arrived. His estimate was close to another Angie's List plumber, but his responsiveness and professionalism made this an easy choice. Mike spent over 3 hours working in my kitchen: he took all the old (and rusty) pipes, the garbage disposal and the kitchen sink and faucet to his truck - there was nothing for me to touch or dispose! He was extremely clean, made sure I was happy, and even had his own trash bags and vacuum cleaner. What more could a woman ask for? I would readily and highly recommend Goode Plumbing LLC to any and every one who wanted a plumbing job well done.

Our house was built in 1903, and we for years would have our pipes rodded. Well, our maintenance scheduling fell by the wayside and our drains started backing up. Our Kitchen sink ran very slow, our downstairs bathroom sink would, when using it, fill our basement wash sink with back up, our washing machine would overflow our basement sink and our basement floor drain would take hours to drain. Our upstairs bathroom sink was just unusable due to the slowness of the drain. I got onto to Angie's List and started making calls. Goode plumbing was very prompt in returning my call and told me that they price by the job, rather than by the hour. This was reassuring to me. Bids are much better than estimates in my opinion so I decided to use them. On the day of the service, Jeff showed up a few minutes early, called to verify I was there, but unfortunately had the wrong address. He was five houses down the block. Once we got that ironed out, he came to the door and was very friendly and professional. He had clean clothes on with a Goode plumbing hoodie, which I appreciated. Before entering the house, he donned the boot covers that he had tucked in his belt. He paid close attention to my synopsis of the situation, examined the catch basin in the yard and went to his Van. When he returned he had a price for me of $360.25 to rod the drains! I thought this was great. He undertook some pretty nasty work in our catch basin and was done with that in about two hours. We tried the sinks in the house but, unfortunately they weren't running clearer or faster. Jeff said he'd rod each one and see what happened from there. He found some root intrusion in the basement, and even broke one of his rodders. This ended up taking a while, but I was satisfied with his thoroughness and attention to detail. In the basement, we both realized our old cement sink wasn't going to cut it anymore, and in an effort to save us some money, Jeff detailed the parts and measurements of pipe I would need to install a new standpipe for the washing machine. I really appreciated this! When Jeff was working on the first floor bathroom, he noticed that the old P-trap was corroded and no longer functioning at optimal levels, so he replaced that as part of the work...He did a great job with this install and left the area CLEANER than it was when he set to task. I was impressed. By this time, we had addressed our main drain, our basement floor drain, and our downstairs bathroom and I had to leave for work, so Jeff wrapped up for the day and gave me the price. It came to 772.05, which was more than the initial quote. There was some miscommunication between Jeff and I, I never asked what was included in the initial quote and just assumed all the rodding was included. Jeff never told me that rodding the additional lines would include an additional cost. When it was time to settle up, I agreed to pay the price of $772.05 because the work was done very well and the functionality of my home's plumbing was increased by 300%! So, Jeff apologized very sincerely and assured me that he would have Mike Goode, the company owner, call me the next day to address my concerns. At this point, the upstairs bathroom sink issue had not been addressed, but I was late for work. I showed Jeff out, and thanked him for his good, careful, thorough, and professional work. The next day, sure enough, I got a call from Mike Goode. He was wanted to check on my satisfaction with the work and express his concern about the miscommunication the day before. He asked me, "What would you see being a fair solution to this issue?" I thought this was a great approach to solving this discrepancy. I told him that I was hoping to get the upstairs sink repaired and made functional and that if his company could complete this as part of the payments already made, I would think it was very fair. I have to say at this point, that throughout all my dealings with Goode, I felt extremely confident in their abilities and their business ethics, and after this conversation I had with Mike, I found myself wishing all service business owners were as sensible, ethical, and competent as Mr. Goode. The very next buisness day, Goode Plumbing was at our house at 7:00 AM, rodded the drain and installed a brand new P-trap on our upstairs bathroom. They left with a handshake and all of our drainage issues resolved completely. I highly recommend Goode plumbing to anyone looking to have work done on your plumbing. Throughout all my dealings, I felt respected, valued, and considered. When they found out I had been a maintenance director in the past, they went into greater detail with their explanations talking to me in terms that I could understand and comprehend. The work was very clean and incredibly thorough, and I have no doubt that the next time I have a plumbing issue, I'll be welcoming the Goode Men with their boot covers into my home. Sincerely, Joe

Did a great job and explained all that they did. Very quick and professional. Keep the area very clean. The original plumber that came by didn't have the right part, but Michael (the owner) came by shortly after and took care of the job. Definitely would recommend again.

I had an emergency plumbing issue that needed to be looked at same-day. Based on AngiesList reviews, I called Goode Plumbing but was told that they were booked through the end of the week and could not get to my project. Without me even asking, Goode was kind enough to refer me to another plumber to do the work. The referral was excellent and they were available to do the work and did a great job. Although I did not use Goode Plumbing, I thought it was worth a positive review because they went out of their way to refer a competitor (who was very good) when they were too busy to complete the work. I did not know of Goode Plumbing before this, but I will certainly use them for future plumbing issues, because I feel that I can trust them. UPDATE: I needed a plumber to work on some external water pipes and I decided to give Goode a shot. After one of his other plumbers got pulled into another emergency job, Mr Goode himself came to my condo to fix the problem. He was courteous and professional. He showed me the leak in the old copper piping and quickly replaced it. He also quickly fixed a slow drain in my second bathroom. After seeing him in action, I have no reason to look for other plumbers. I will definitely use him again for any other plumbing issues.

I would highly recommend this company. I used them a few weeks ago as well for some leaking faucets and a leaking shower head. Again, as I stated in my last review, I don't believe they are the most inexpensive but their work is outstanding and they welcome you to get competitive quotes. Mike Goode also called me to follow up to ensure everything was to my satisfaction.

Overall Mike did an excellent job. He replaced the broken in-sink disposal with one I purchased online and tested the new unit thoroughly. He cleaned up after himself and took all packaging from the new unit and the broken old unit with him.

It was a very good experience. The technician, Jess, showed up on time and he was very hard working. He was also very good at explaining what was going on and what he was going to do.

Mike was very professional, courteous and conscientious. I left a phone msg requesting a scheduled visit to unclog a utility tub drain next to my laundry duo who has been feeling unneeded and unused as the washer drains into the utility tub. Mike called back within 15 min. to set up an app?t. (He even called when an earlier app?t became available). When he arrived, we discussed the problem, and he described what his plan of action would be. Upon entering the house, he covered his shoes with ?booties? to keep floors from getting wet as snow was melting outside. The plan worked and the duo is happy again as am I. Mike is the go-to-guy for any future plumbing concerns I may have.

I needed to have a garbage disposal replaced. I spoke with Mike, who was quick in getting back to me, and was told on the phone that the price for the job would be determined on site. When the serviceman came to do the job, I asked him what it would cost. He then opened a book that had a listing of prices for whatever work you needed to have done. I was given a quote of $300 which I feel was totally overpriced for what would take not more than 1/2 hour. It appears that the price is predetermined beforehand so why couldn't I be given a quote over the phone? I did not have the job done and contacted another plumber on Angies's list which did the job for 1/2 the price. I chose this company because of the reviews which included an A for price which was not the case in my situation.

Everything about this experience was excellent. Mike is courteous and timely, his pricing is very good and he was willing to accommodate my schedule. Drilling through the foundation wall was the only way to access water to a sink in the basement (this was confirmed by several other plumbers) so of course we wanted this done right. I would use Goode Plumbing again.

He was very responsive in terms of calling me back for the initial appointment. He as also very professional, clean and efficient. My only question is about how much I was charged for the labor. It seemed a bit pricey but I did not get a comparison quote. Having said that, I would not hesitate to use Mike again or recommend him.

Called Goode Plumbing on a friday and they came out the next tuesday. Catch Basin hadn't been cleaned in about 10 years, did not smell good! Mike and his crew were awesome! He had a crew come with a truck to clean out the catch basin. He supervised the job the entire time. They were extremely professional and did a great job. They even showed up a few minutes before the scheduled time, and when I explained I'd need them to wait to start till I picked up my kids from preschool they told me no problem, don't rush and be careful driving! They were so pleasant! Couldn't believe they made no mess, even on a wet, snowy day. Mike also spent extra time checking some other issues out that I brought up. Mike was so professional and explained everything. He was very patient with all my questions. Also gave alot of tips to prevent future trouble. I felt very comfortable having them perform work in my home, and would definitely call them again!

I had a very positive experience with Goode Plumbing. Jeff, the technician, arrived at the beginning of our service window of 11am-1pm. He inspected the leak on the top of the water heater caused near a rod that helps with sediment within the tank. He indicated if water was coming out of there as well as from around the water intakes there could be serious problems such as rusting within the tank. They provided me a quote and did not charge me for the service call which was appreciated. I called Jeff back within 30 minutes to have the tank replaced. Jeff and Mike came out and replaced the tank, explained how to maintain the tank and were very expedient in getting the job done not to mention very professional. The whole time from first diagnosis to replacement and removal of the old tank was within 3 hours. They were able to pick up a new tank at their distribution center immediately and Jeff was back on site. It was a very positive experience and I will call Goode Plumbing back with any other plumbing issues.

Went great! Mike was very nice and easy to reach on the phone. Even though our leak wasn't an emergency, more of a nuisance, he scheduled me for today and then called to see if he could come earlier. Great! He was professional, polite and worked quickly. I would definitely hire them again in a heartbeat!

The technician arrived on time, was very communicative and respectful, worked very efficiently and neatly, and finished the job without a hitch. The very conscientious technician even wore shoe booties so as not to track anything on our carpet. Top notch company and I highly recommend Goode Plumbing for any and all plumbing needs you may have. Our new water softener works great and we are very happy!
