We got several estimates for this job; Goode's was right in the middle. The guys who came out to do the estimate were the most thorough in explaining things to me. From there, we went back and forth on a start date (we were out of town and getting a new kitchen, so it made it difficult). But, once we were finally ready to begin, Mike scheduled the work for less than 5 days later. The guys were a bit late but once they got there they worked quickly and efficiently and were very clean and professional. Overall, I really like this company and we will use them again; we were happy to have them do this work!

At first, I loved Goode plumbing, and I think Mike is a good plumber. One of his partners installed a garbage disposal incorrectly, and it had to be fixed. Now, granted, they did fix it and didn't charge, but they gave us a hard time and acted annoyed that they had to fix it. Not that big a deal, except that I work full time and have a young child--- so, months of having a dripping leaking faucet go by before I get to this particular item on my never-ending to do list. Suffice it to say, I really appreciate a job being done correctly the first time. They then did a simple repair on a toilet without giving a quote first (I guess we trusted too much), and then seemed to way overcharge. After multiple phone calls and texts to Mike Goode, he refunded part of my money. I then called with another job, and he said he'd call me back, but never did. Oh well, guess I'll look for another plumber. My advice is that if you work with this company make sure you get a quote first, and only work with Mike if possible.

Mike came and examined the overflowing catch basin. He scheduled someone to come and drain the contents out of the trap. Then Bob came and cleared away the trap way and resealed the catch basin. Everyone who came to the house was polite and informative.

THESE GUYS ARE AWESOME!!!!! I loved the service I got. I was in a real bind. Our sump pumps were not working properly and a big storm was coming (again) so I wanted the pumps replaced that day. It was important to me to use a top quality pump because I know from experience that the cheaper ones fail faster. I called Power Plumbing and a few others and none of them seemed interested in helping me to solve this problem and none could come right away. It took Power Plumbing a day just to get Patrick to call me to discuss this. I called Mike Goode at 11:40am and he agreed to get there by 4pm. He arrived promptly and quickly diagnosed the problem. They replaced the ejector pump and the sump pump with Zoeller solid cast iron pumps. This was the pump I wanted to use when I first investigated this. If you do some research you'll see this is one of the best pumps you can buy and Goode carries these standard on their trucks. They are not cheap. Mike had to have someone from the office run over the ejector pump we needed. Mike and one other guy spent about 2 hours installing the pumps and valves. He then stuck around to talk about how we could prevent issues with flooding. The back-up pump needs to be replaced also, but requires changes in the PVC piping so they are returning to do that next week. They left the jobsite clean and Mike was incredibly helpful and honest. Best of all, the pump worked great during yet another Chicago rain storm. I know very little about plumbing so it was nice to find someone who I can rely on in the future. I will ALWAYS use Goode and I recommend them very highly!

I have used Mike and his company in the past and they never disappoint. This time is no exception. We were desperate - we had a toilet clogged and and bathtub that was also backing up with waste. We had no idea how extensive the problem was and it appeared to also be tied to our upstairs bath. On top of it all, we had a houseful of guests staying for the week. Not exactly a good time to have your plumbing questionable! I called Mike frantic on Friday AM and he called me right back. He indicated they were busy but would make it out that same day give our dire situation. True to his word he sent someone that afternoon. It looked pretty bleak for awhile and we were convinced a hotel was in our future. However, they were able to resolve the issue and even stayed late (I think 7 PM or so) to finish the job. We were given a quote on the phone and that was exactly what we were charged despite the late hours. The plumber who was sent to the house was extremely professional and helpful. I highly recommend this company for quality work and customer service.

Our water heater broke down shortly after we moved into our new place and we called Mike for an estimate. He came over on short notice and was a pleasure to work with. He made sure that we got the best quality for a great price and installed the water heater at a convenient time. Mike was punctual, professional, and kept our place clean! Overall the experience was great from start to finish and we will definitely be calling Goode for any plumbing issues in the future and recommending to friends and family.

I saw the nice reviews on Angie's list and was also referred by a electrician (Wade Wilson, who did a great job for us). I contacted Goode Plumbing and Mike responded but it took some time. He sent Bob for an estimate at the agreed date, however Bob arrived more than 20 min late (upon calling Mike, he reassured me that Bob was on the way). An estimate was given to replace the existing toilet with a state of the art TOTO toilet- Neorest. As I had to be on a teleconference and had limited time to discuss all the details I sent an email to both Mike and Bob with the installation details as the process is rather involved and complex. Mike responded to my email honoring the original estimate and we set a date and time. In-spite of this minor delay in the initial appointment, we were very impressed and very happy with the overall service and experience. Mike was easy to work with regarding the date and time for the installation. To my pleasant surprise, Mike's colleague, Jeff arrived exactly on time. . He put on shoe covers when he entered our place and was very professional and easy to work with. After starting the process, Jeff noticed that the piping had to be moved to accommodate the new toilet (~12inches from the toilet to the water supply). Jeff explained the details, costs and also that the drywall would have to removed and then replaced and painted. We were concerned about the extra cost and time for the drywall and thus planned to do this bit by ourselves. However, Jeff volunteered to go the supply store and replace the drywall and then spackle . Wow !! excellent customer service. The initial part of the installation is rather involved and Jeff was very professional in his approach. At the appropriate time Jeff went to the supply store obtained the drywall and installed and spackled it. As we had to let it dry and apply a second coating before painting which takes about two days, we scheduled the return visit for Monday, July 18th. Jeff cleaned up the working area, which was a nice surprise and took away the old toilet and garbage. On July 18th, Jeff was on a emergency call and thus Mike emailed me to inform me that he (i.e. Mike) will be coming instead. Mike came in and quickly assessed the situation and proceeded to the next stage of the installation. He was also very professional. About one hour into the process, Jeff arrived and both of them easily finished the installation, including the washlet. They did a fantastic job !!. In addition, Jeff caulked the area around our ejector pump and gave us some advise. Jeff reattached the base board/molding around the new toilet and it looks fantastic . He left the area very clean and honored the 10% Angie' s discount. Their price is worth it. Good value for the money. We are very happy with the installation and work ethic. They did an outstanding job. Very courteous, hard working, clean and professional. Without hesitation we would use Goode Plumbing again if the need arises. I give them my highest recommendation (which is very rare for me).

Based on Angie's List, I called Mike Goode to repair a bathroom faucet in the home of my 95-year-old mother. The bathroom faucet no longer shut off and scalding hot water was pouring out at full blast. There also was a problem with the pressure in emptying the toilet. A different plumbing company could not fix the faucet and recommended an extremely expensive repair/replacement for the toilet. I called Mike around 10:30am. Mike called back around noon and was at the job site by approximately 2:00pm the same day. I never met Mike, but my mother reports he did an excellent job. He temporarily had to leave to get a special part to repair the vintage faucet. Then he rodded out the vintage toilet and told my mother to leave well enough alone as long as it was working rather than go into an expensive repair immediately...which was just the solution & answer my mom was looking for. Mom says Mike was timely, professional and made the repairs that solved the problems and fit into an old lady's budget. She was extremely pleased with Mike's work. We would definitely call Mike Goode again.

Called and made request for inspection and Mike came out and explained everything was professional and got the job done quickly.

I was very pleased with everything. Mike was very prompt in returning my call. He was efficient, straightforward, and cleaned up after himself. I thought the price was about average for plumbing services these days, although I don't have a lot of experience with it. The bathroom sink leak had been there for awhile. It was a tight fit for us to get at. Mike had no problem with it, replaced some gaskets and it's all fixed now. The kitchen faucet had been more problematic. It was leaking pretty badly from around the base of the cap on the main body. We called the company to get a replacement cartridge kit, but that didn't fix it. The company, Whitehaus Collection, blew me off after that, and wouldn't return our calls. We were just going to replace the faucet but thought we would try a plumber. Mike tried taking it apart and reassembling it a couple of times, used some thread sealant, but to no avail. He said there were some worn areas on the inner body. He could rebuild it for us or we could opt to just replace it. We appreciated his honesty, didn't try to convince me to pay him the higher amount to rebuild. Overall, a very good experience and would definitely recommend them.

The first thing I liked was when I called I got a person and not an answering machine. I explained my problem (completed stopped up bathtub and bathroom sink), and set up an appointment for service. Bob called the day of the service to say he was on his way. When he arrived he worked quickly and efficiently. He rodded out both and replaced a spout in the bathtub. I was completely satisfied with the work done.

The work went well. These changes were made to improve the delivery of hot water to six of our units and to improve the efficient use of water in our building.

Only issue I had was that it took 5 days to complete the job. However I would rather the job take a bit longer and get the job done right than have the job done quickly and have a bad job performed. Goode installed a back water flood control with a check valve directly on my main sewer line and a sump pump to pump any water from my home when the valve is shut during a storm. The guys were extremely professional and courteous. Very knowledgeable and informative. They gave a lifetime guarantee on the workmanship as well. I am completely satisfied with there overall performance and would recommend them to anyone looking for a flood control system!

They are good and dependable. They seem to be honest. We would recommend them to other people.

Mike and his crew did a great job. Installation took 2 days, originally not happy with the sound, but Mike purchased a muffle and installed at no additional cost. Love the new water heater and it is just as energy efficient as Mike said. Will definitely use them again.

Mike Goode is definitely going to be my go-to guy for all of my future plumbing needs. He identified the source of my basement sewer odor problem hidden behind a wall, discussed repair options with me, fixed the problem, and then cleaned up the work area. It was a pleasure working with him.

Called Mike because our water heater pilot would not stay lit. He was very friendly and accommodating, and was able to come by within a couple days. He checked out our water heater and determined that some parts just needed to be replaced and that they should be under warranty. He then set up a service call for us with another company that would fulfill the service under warranty. When there was some confusion on the day that this company was supposed to come out, he even called them up to clarify what needed to get done. Very excellent support considering I'm a new customer, I'd recommend him to anyone and will be using him for any future plumbing needs.

called and asked for an early morning appointment which they were able to accommodate. Arrive on time and while he needed to go out and get parts it took much shorter than expected. The work was quick and tidy and well done. Plumbing always costs more than I expect but if I do not have any troubles for another 6 years it will be well worth it. Very happy I called them.

Need plumbing done? Call these guys! I will say it again---don't go anywhere else, call Goode plumbing! I called Goode plumbing to set up an appointment and got a call back in minutes, got set up in a flash. That was an excellent start. Bob D., the Goode technician showed up right on time with a big, new truck. He turned out to be a meticulous, craftsman, not just a plumber. He had not installed this particular pump before but he figured it out , no problem. He also found several issues with the previous installation including lack of check valves, some messy piping runs, no clamps on the sump pump lid and a problem with the existing main sump pump that caused it to stop working because of an air block. Bob had run to Community Plumbing up the street to get a few parts to do the job right. It was worth it, because the end result was a neat, masterful plumbing job that not only got my backup pump installed but it straightened out the plumbing closet, secured my fresh water supply from possible infiltration and mechanically improved the sump pump lid and all the plumbing that runs through it. A colossal improvement! i noticed a few details: Bob carefully cleaned all the PVC piping and primed it, applied an even coat of adhesive and joined up the pipes. I've seen quite a few plumbers work, Bob was by far the most precise, neat, careful plumber I have ever seen. He is from the measure twice, cut once school of good workmanship. He had to sweat some copper piping, again, he did a very careful, neat and thorough job that I know results in a strong, leakproof joint. This all took quite a bit of time and I thought that his charge for labor and materials was extremely fair, of superb quality and outstanding value. Without a doubt I would call him and Goode plumbing without any hesitation for any plumbing work I might need. And I would absolutely recommend Good plumbing to anyone that needs plumbing. It says on the Goode web site that they are committed to providing the highest quality service in the industry. I totally believe it, they are not just saying this, they are delivering on this promise. Like many of us, I have grown accustomed to disappointing service and empty promises from companies and service providers. Goode plumbing is a fantastic reminder that there actually are people out there who take their job seriously and do exceptional work at a fair price. My hat's off to you, I will never, ever, ever call another plumber as long as Goode is around. And that's a promise!

I called Goode in the morning, and they said they were booked but would try to get me in. They did! They quoted me the price *ahead* of time for the services, and stuck with it. ...And I got an Angie's List discount! They were incredibly professional, courteous, and fast. Will certainly call them for all any future plumbing needs! Very highly recommended!

The installation went fine. They showed up on time and where very quick to complete the installations. Initial problems where fixed with a couple of days. Michael was given a key to our house and it took several weeks making many appointments which he missed to get the key back but Michael was expecting a baby around that time so could be forgiven for this. The day the installation was completed we started to hear a loud knocking sound when we open either the hot or cold water faucet. It is so loud that it keep waking up our baby and since this hot water heater is installed we can not use any water when the baby is sleeping. We did not report this immediately because we had some other plumbing done to the house which we initially thought caused the problem. When we did contact Michael it took over a month before he finally send someone over to have a look. He charged me $200 dollars to investigate but was not able to resolve the problem. Now I am left with a loud knocking noise in my water pipes and about 10 large holes in my walls and ceiling that they created to find the problem. I wished I had never used Goode plumbing but one of the more expensive plumbers who would hopefully taken more ownership of the problem and have the expertise to solve it. The plumber they send to diagnose the problem spends most time staring at the ceiling and scratch his head. They are offering to install something that might solve the problem for another $450 but I am done giving money to this company. They do not seem to have any idea how they caused this problem in the first place so I am not confident that they know how to solve it.

Mike Goode arrived on time, quickly and properly assessed the project. We agreed on a price, and he completed the task, which consisted of cutting off the old faucet, attaching a new screw mount, and installing the new faucet. Nothing this simple ever goes according to Hoyle, and he found a flaw in the pipe that also needed correction, requiring some additional materials. He returned to his shop for the replacement material, returned, and completed the repair at no additional cost. The quality of the work was neat and precise. i will definitely be using Goode Plumbing for future work.

Spoke with Mike on Monday and he was there Tuesday afternoon and completed the work in 2-3 hours. Everything works great, everything is clean. Mike and other members of his staff are all very responsive, timely and good with their craft. We've used them twice now for plumbing matters, and will definitely use them again.
