"Thank you, Member, for having us complete this project for you. We replaced the water supply piping for two bathrooms, added water supply, drain, and vent piping for a new washer and dryer set up, installed a new bathtub, new sink, shower valves, and toilet. We also had a drain pan for the washing machine custom fabricated, and met the city inspectors for approval on the work. Everything turned out sano and we are glad that the client was very happy! We appreciate the work very much, and enjoyed working for this Member. Thank you for the very nice review, as well."
"Thank you very much for your review. Jeff was the installer of this customer provided water heater. He and several of us here have extensive knowledge when it comes to servicing and installing a variety of tankless and hybrid water heaters. These are a specialized installation that requires proper installation and maintenance in order to perform properly."
"Thank you very much for having us over to repair your toilet! We use high quality parts in our toilet repairs and overhauls, either using original type equipment, or improved parts whenever possible. Most of our toilet repairs are covered by a two year parts and labor warranty in addition to our lifetime warranty against defects in our workmanship. Thank you also for writing this review!"
"Thank you, Member. We sent one of our plumbers, Mike Davis, to repair a toilet and install a new, homeowner supplied kitchen sink faucet. The faucet was a Kohler hands free faucet, operated by an electrical power source. Upon completion, we found that the sensor in the faucet was defective, so we helped the homeowner obtain a free replacement under warranty. We went back after she received the part and installed it, and made adjustments for sensitivity as needed. Thank you for having us over to complete this work for you, and for your taking the time to write this review!"
"Thank you very much for having us work with you on this project! Brian, the plumber who diagnosed the issue and completed the work, has been an excellent plumber for us, with many years of experience and a great all around attitude. I am very happy that you were happy with his work. We all know how busy life can be, so it also means a lot to us that you took the time to write this review about our company and Brian!"
"Thank you for your review and for having us over to complete the repairs in your kitchen. The plumber that we sent rebuilt a faucet and furnished and installed a new Insinkerator disposal. The plumber did the work has been proven that he is very skilled and cares tremendously about his work and our customers. It does seem like there was an issue with the connection that he made initially, and we are very sorry for that. This is not typical of his work-he is the type of person that would have gotten up at 2 am to come fix it if we had received the call then-but that does show that even the best have to pay complete attention to every detail, all the time! I do apologize for the inconvenience and the issue itself, and of course we would make every effort to get it repaired as fast as possible. We stand behind our workmanship for the life of the product. The disposal was not an inexpensive unit, I do agree-up front. However, by allowing us to install a good quality product and spending a little extra on it, it should save you money in the long term with reduced service calls and a longer life expectancy than a low dollar disposal."
"Thank you for having us over for the service call. This Member had our plumber, Bob, complete a Big Deal special-a water heater drain and flush. We recommend this be done annually to help remove sediment from the water heater tank. We install our full port drain valve with every new heater to replace the factory supplied part, to allow for more complete sediment removal. We appreciate the work and the kind review!"
"Thank you for having us over to help with the various plumbing issues that you were having! I am glad that you were happy with Bob, the plumber that went there to do the work, as well as our company as a whole. We really do our best to provide excellent service at a reasonable cost, and it means a lot when our clients take the time to write reviews about their experience with us such as this."
I contacted Goode Plumbing because my hot water was running very slow in my kitchen. I also had a leak in my existing faucet so I wanted to replace it. I also knew that the cold water shut off valve was as old as the house and the threads were worn so it needed to be replaced. Carrie set up an appointment for me between 8 AM and 11 AM. She asked if I had the faucet and I advised that I did. The day before the plumber was to come, I was called to confirm the appointment.
The plumber arrived at 8:30 AM. The first thing he did was take a look at the hot water pressure and the shut off valve under the sink. He then went to his truck and obtained the bucket and tools that he needed to do the work. He detached the faucet hose from the hot water valve and tested the pressure. The pressure was good, so the problem was in the faucet connection.
He then turned to the cold water shut off valve. We had to do a complete shut off of the water in order to replace it. When he completed that replacing the shut off valve, he then installed the new faucet. Since the new faucet was considerably taller than the existing one, he measured it to make sure it would fit and not hit the bottom of the cabinet above before he removed the existing faucet.
Once he finished putting in the new faucet, he did a clean up and finished at approximately 10:30 AM.
Right after he left I started to put my kitchen back together and I turned on the faucet and no water was coming out. Water came out when the plumber was here. I panicked. I called Goode and explained my problem. They told me they would get in touch with the plumber. He called and I explained my issue. I told him I tried everything and no water. He said he would come back. He arrived a little less than an hour after he left. Turns out, I did not know how to turn the faucet on. I apologized. However, it was not a totally useless trip. He found that the cold water pressure was not quite what it should be and I was able to give him better directions to get back to the interstate.
"Thank you for having us over to install the new faucet and isolation valves. We use quarter turn valves that are constructed of brass rather than the all too common plastic. I am glad that you are happy with us-our job is to not only do a high quality job, but to also make sure you know what was done and how things work, so I do apologize if our plumber did not fully instruct you the first time around! I am glad everything went well overall, and also appreciate your taking the time to write a review about us."
"Thank you so much for the very nice review! We appreciate your having us out to help with both the drain and faucet repairs. I am glad that you were happy with our service as well as the workmanship. We look forward to being of service to you in the future."
"Thank you very much for having us over. Our goal is to build a relationship with our clients. We appreciate the repeat work and referrals, and in return, we do our best to deliver great work at a reasonable cost. Thank you for your continued business and for taking the time to write a review about us on Angie's List."
"Thank you for having us help you with the plumbing issues that have come up in your home. Our plumber Jeff has been out to you, and any of us will do our best to help with anything else that you may need. We appreciate your taking the time to write a review about us here, and for your loyalty to our company!"
"Thank you for having us over for the Big Deal Plumbing Inspection. This is a very complete inspection of your home's plumbing inspection, where we inspect and test every accessible valve, faucet, fixture, pipe, etc., to ensure it is in good working order. If we find anything that needs attention, we make a note of it and let you know the cost to make the repair. This is a great service to have us out to do if you are buying or selling your home, or even as a preventative measure for your current home. We appreciate your kind words and for having us over."
"I am glad that you are happy with our service and the plumber that completed this repair. Our plumber, Mike Davis, installed new cartridges and flushed the lines out. We appreciate the work and your taking the time to review our company here on Angie's List. Thank you, Mike Goode Goode Plumbing"
"Thank you for having us over to repair the utility sink drain. I am glad that we were able to get you in before the original scheduled date ( although it would have been a great excuse to not have to do laundry for a couple of days!). Thank you for the kind words, and for allowing Bob to come over and complete the repair for you."
I called Goode Plumbing after finding water leaking through the ceiling in my basement from the bathroom above. I called at 12:45 pm on a Tuesday, explained the problem, and Carrie (who answered the call when I rang through) told me she would find who was available and would call me right back. She called back within 10 minutes to tell me that a plumber would be out by 1:30 that day.
Eric arrived before 1:30. He was professional, extremely knowledgeable, and friendly. He asked some questions to help with focus and diagnosed the problem within 5 minutes. He explained clearly where the problem was, why it happened, what the solution was, and what the cost would be. (The final cost wound up being less than what he originally stated by $30-$50. Bonus!) He would have been done in about an hour from the time he arrived, but he had the company "loaner" van and not his regular van with its full stock of parts, so he had to go back to the shop for the part needed for repair. As it was, the total time spent on the actual repair was less than 1 hour, with total time from discovery of leak and initial phone call to completion of repair being about 2 hours.
Once he completed the repair, and at my request, he provided a written estimate for other work which I want to have done but which I hadn't called a plumber for yet. The estimate is reasonable and very detailed.
I will definitely be using Goode Plumbing for all of my home's plumbing needs in the future. My experience was excellent from start (Carrie listening intently and compassionately to me when she answered the phone) to finish (Eric diagnosing and fixing the problem without issue).
"Thank you very much for having us over to help with the leak. Eric is a recent hire, who passed our month long ride along evaluation, and our customers have been very happy with him. He has been a good fit for our company so far. We were getting one of our Volkswagen Bus service trucks set up for him the day you called for service, so we do appreciate your patience regarding him having to make a small parts run. Thank you again for rewarding us with the work, and also for taking the time to write this review about us."
"Thank you very much for the review! We truly appreciate it. Bob has been with us for about five years and I am happy to hear that you were pleased with his work and customer service. We also appreciate your loyalty and look forward to being of service to you in the future."
the pipe to the exterior spigot of my house cracked. As a result, I had to shut off all water to the house. I called Goode on a Sunday afternoon looking for a Monday morning appointment. mike responded within an hour of my leaving a message promising to try to get me into the Monday schedule. Goode called the next morning confirming that I was on a waitlist to be serviced as soon as a technician became available. They called back shortly thereafter to confirm they were on their way.
Brian from Goode arrived as promised. He thoroughly inspected the problem and explained his solution and pricing. He then executed the solution to perfection all the while explaining what was going on.
When finished he even pointed out a couple of potential problem areas in the house that I hadn't noticed. In all, I could not be more pleased with the service that Goode Plumbing provided and I will certainly use them in the future.
"Thank you, Member, for taking the time to write this review, as well as have us out to help with the issue. We do not advertise 24 hour/7 days per week service, but we try to help on the off hours whenever possible, especially in an emergency such as a bust pipe or other jobs that really cannot wait. I did call this Member back on Sunday night, but it would have been a few hours before one of our plumbers could have made it out, so he opted to wait until the next day. Because our schedule was already pretty full for that day, we did put him on a waitlist, and were able to accommodate him. I am glad that things went well. Brian has been with us for some time now, and is truly a very good plumber and a pleasant person to deal with in general."
"Thank you for writing this review! This Member needed a water heater removed two days before Thanksgiving and a new one installed the day after, so that a new floor could be installed the day before that holiday. I was originally asked to reinstall the old water heater, but recommended that we replace it since her existing unit was very close to the end of its typical life expectancy. She agreed, and we installed a Bradford White water heater, which is made in the USA, and covered by our 6 year parts and labor warranty. I upgraded some of the piping and added a drain pan, new shut off valve and our full port drain valve kit. This water heater should last many years, and give efficient and reliable service. We appreciate the work very much!"
That minor issue aside, I would absolutely work with these guys again. We've had multiple rains since putting this in that have flooded the neighbors, and we've stayed dry. That along is worth the money we spent. While on the job all of Mike's employees were responsive and focused on making the customer happy.
Don't hesitate to use them for your plumbing needs.
"Thank you for having us install one of our flood control systems for you! We have put together a very reliable system, featuring several components as standard equipment that other companies either do not offer at all or offer as extra cost option. We use only excellent quality parts and materials for these systems. We do apologize for the yard issue-as you stated, we are much much better and plumbing than landscaping, but do try to leave things neat and clean. If you can call me in the spring, I will have a look and see if we can help out with that. Thank you again for the work, and for your very nice review here on Angies List."
"Thank you very much for your review! We appreciate your having us out. l. In this case, we sent Bob to this Member-thank you for rewarding us with the service call."
On a side note, the lead technician, DeVille was such a great guy, he even sang Happy Birthday to my 12 year old daughter on his last visit, which was the day before her birthday. The request was made because he would routinely be heard singing while doing work in the basement.
Thanks to Mike, George, DeVille, and the rest of the crew for providing me with a dry basement!!
"Thank you very much for the very nice review! This was, as indicated, to install an interior flood control to prevent flooding in the basement as a result of heavy rains. As we got into the job, there were some unseen issues that we had to work through. We did offer an option of an exterior flood control system based on our findings, but it did not fit within the member's budget, so we kept our original plan, and stuck to the price we quoted to get things done. This did take a bit longer than anticipated, but that can happen when dealing with conditions that cannot be seen upfront. Our goal was to deliver a high quality system for a price that fit the client's budget, even if it meant taking some extra time to get through some issues. I do apologize about the time-we are at the City's mercy in terms of inspections, however-which can indeed hold things up. Glad you enjoyed Develle's best impression of Sam Cooke as well : )."
"Thank you for having us over to look at that vintage toilet. Some of our customers know that I drive a stock 1931 Ford every day back and forth to work, and that just under half of our fleet of vans consists of forty year old, restored Volkswagen Buses. If we can keep those running smoothly and reliably every day, then we can probably handle the repair of your vintage toilet, faucet, etc. Several of us here are very good on the vintage fixtures-I enjoy working on those items and am happy to do it for our customers. In this case, the toilet had some repair attempts by other plumbers. I removed some incorrect parts, and rebuilt the toilet properly using brass, original style components. I cleaned a large amount of build up from the inside of the tank as well, and the toilet is now ready for many more years of reliable service. Thank you very much for the kind words and the review."
Excellent. First of all Mike was on time which is the best start to a great professional relationship. He was very professional and did not mind me learning from him so next time I can try to replace the valve and flapper on a toilet and clean out a body spray. Replacing cartridges in a faucet is something I will leave for a professional to do.
Also very important is that Goode Plumbing gives a 1yr warranty on parts and labor.
They are expensive but worth it since they do it right the first time. In the past I have had a handyman replace a faucet once which left me with a flood in the kitchen. I am sure that is not going to happen with Mike of Goode Plumbing.
"We sent our plumber Mike Davis out to repair the fixtures at this particular home. He is a very competent plumber, and we your appreciation of his high skill level! Mike installed high quality replacement parts and backed up both materials and labor with a good warranty. I do agree that we may be higher than say a handyperson (we have to carry licensing and insurance that they do not have to. Also, it is actually illegal for a non licensed person such as a handyperson to do anything to your plumbing system other than the most simple repair). However, I am very confident that if you were to shop us against other licensed plumbing contractors, you would find us quite competitive. Thank you so much for the work as well as the very nice review! We truly do appreciate it."
George came out on a Friday night which was already quite impressive! He was very thorough in looking at my problem and discussing the approach etc. He explained how the breaking open of the basement floor would work and the amount of flooring that he would need to crack open etc. He also told me that there is always a possibility of the unknown when you get down into the pipes and connections etc. and could result in more labor and breaking into a larger area of the flooring so that I would not have any surprises.
My questions and concerns were answered thoroughly and I asked for a rough ball park figure, but I was given an actual quote that evening which was really terrific.
The team was punctual and very neat and they were able to work within the small 3'x3' area and not upset anymore flooring.
It will be very easy to replace the tiling. In addition to replacing the p trap, it was shown to me that a connecting pipe to my catch basin line had a crack in it and should be replaced. Cost $200.00 additional. This was very obvious and I of course wanted to get this done while the flooring was open etc.
I liked the team and felt that they presented in a very professional way and made me feel confident that this company was as good as the many review that I had read!
"Thank you very much. George, who is a great plumber and also our field supervisor, started this job and had additional help from Mike Davis, another plumber that has joined our team a few months ago. We are very happy that you were pleased with our service. I realize that people have very busy schedules oftentimes, and it means a lot to us that you took the time to write this review. I do hope that we can be of service to you again in the future!"
