Goode has been keeping our house in tip-top shape for more than 12 years. From sump pits and pumps to new fixtures to tankless water heaters and everything in between, we've always been pleased with their professionalism and how they stand by their work and customers. For this visit, I was in a hurry to rework the pipes in my laundry room to support installing a new stacked washer and dryer. They came out right away and were able to schedule and complete the work in the timely manner. Jonathan was professional, communicative and sensitive to cleanliness and social distancing in this time of pandemic. Goode has always done right by us. So, even if they're not the lowest bid you get, they will do the best work and will stand behind it.

Basement was flooding. They rodded the sewer line, identified the problem, and flooding stopped. They offered multiple options for the job with different price points. They respected social distancing during coronavirus crisis. Very professional, efficient, cost-effective.

Drew came out within 24 hours and was great! He really made sure area was clean when he was done.

We needed to replace two water heaters which were about twelve years old. I called Goode based upon good reviews here and because they were local. The response was very prompt and an appointment was set up quickly. After inspection we discussed options and pricing. I thought everything was explained well and my questions were answered. I was pleased with the estimates. I decided to go with tankless water heaters. They were ready to start immediately, but agreed to come back the next morning. Installation went great and installers were very courteous and knowledgeable, also provided explanation, and cleaned up nicely. So far all is working very well.

Making a appointment was very easy with Goode Plumbing they completely worked around my schedule. I was truly happy with the work That Brian performed he educated us on everything that he was doing and even took time to talk our 5 year son Who wanted to know everything he was doing. My plumber from Goode was quick and courteous. He explained any part of the job that I asked for more detail on (I'm inquisitive). This is the second time I've hired Goode and I would recommend them.

DO NOT USE GOODE!! This is why: Our building has a VIP lifetime membership with Goode but let me tell you that it is FAR from "VIP" service. We were experiencing a hot water issue so called Goode to assess and they advised that it was a piping issue. We trusted that they knew what the issue was, being the plumbing professionals, so we scheduled the $1400 plumbing work to be done, expecting it would solve our hot water issue. First off, the first date we scheduled, the plumber didn't have the right parts so we had to reschedule. The second time the plumber didn't have the right information and didn't advise us that we had to turn off the water for at least 3 hours, so we had to reschedule a second time. Finally, we took time out of our Sunday to have the work done and ensure we were home for 3 hours while the plumber was completing the work. After the work was done, nothing changed and were experiencing the same hot water issue. My husband and I looked at the water heater and noticed that there was a light signaling "ignition lockout", meaning no hot water was being produced - something you would think a plumber assessing for hot water would automatically check. We had Goode come back in, showed them the ignition issue, they cleaned the spark plug and voila! We had hot water! We know we needed the spark plug replaced but a part like that typically costs ~$50. We received a quote for $500, which was ridiculous, especially since we just paid them $1400 for work that did NOTHING. With a limited budget, we were not going to spend an additional $500 for a replacement that should have been done at the very beginning. I spent an hour on the phone with Goode explaining our situation and asked if someone could come out and clean the spark plug again until we had the funds for the replacement part. I was told that they would come out but for a $300 fee - RIDICULOUS. It took the plumber 10 minutes to "clean" the spark plug, which was the plumber rubbing a $1 bill on the spark plug.... there was no way we would pay $300 for that. After an hour of explaining the situation and their lack of customer service and expertise in assessing our issue, the best they could offer was $450 for the replacement part. We decided to go with another plumber that charged a quarter of what Goode quoted to replace the spark plug and we will NOT being using them again. Stay away, they take advantage of people that do not understand plumbing and will charge you an arm and a leg for it!!

Drew was awesome 5 starts for him, first time a plumber came to house and wanted to look at the whole system, (go figure a plumber who wants to look at the whole system to see what is best for your home and how he can help) first step in the house he put sleeves on his shoes, AWESOME. My house is over 100 yrs old so still have cast iron, Drew helped me understand the best approach. He listened and did a fantastic Clean up job. What a real pleasure that I didn't have to clean up after someone doing work in my house. Pricing needs to be looked at Drew had to call office they are very expensive. I thought the job should have been closer to the $300 dollar range but ended up paying $489. Customer service can only go so far if your pricing isn't closer to reality it will be limited.

Both Tubs Cleared Out in Less Then One Hour, Very Polite & Courteous Service Man, Cost Was Outrageous, For A Total Service Call Of Just Over 1 Hour Including Bringing In Tools And Leaving, When He First Quoted The Price I Figured It Was Going To Be An Extensive Job by The Price, This Price Also Included My So Called Membership Discount, I Truly Feel I Took It Up The Pipe, I Understand They Have Overhead But Over $700.00 For A One Hour Job ??????????????????

If you intend to use this plumber, be prepared to pay through the nose. The technician was prompt, cordial, cleaned up nicely, and performed the job efficiently and effectively. In the end it took less than an hour. But the pricing was outrageous. In the end I acquiesced to having Goode complete the job because I had no time to search for another option. Whatever this company's pricing model is (after seeing what they charged me for this job, it remains a mystery and an outrage) customer: beware.

This is not an indictment on Goode's work. They ultimately performed no service for me but the technician that came to my house was very courteous and seemed competent. My issue however is with the flat rate charge of $340 AND the basic service charge of $60. I just want people to be aware when they are researching to hire a plumber the $60 quoted to come out and ***** the issue is going to look attractive compared to most other plumbers. Unfortunately, they charge a flat rate of $340 for any service rendered. In my case, I needed my kitchen sink unclogged. I've had plumbers in the past quote an assessment fee between $90 and above. Goode was the lowest by a considerable margin (again, $60). In my initial phone conversation I asked the cost to rod my sink I was advised that they didn't want to quote until the technician looked at the issue. I've had my sink rodded a few times in the last 10 years and the cost was about $180 (by very reputable plumbing companies). I scheduled the appointment figuring the cost would be close to what I've experienced in the past. The tech came out and agreed it needed only a basic rodding. Then, gave me an estimate for $340!! Hmmmm. Obviously I was not happy, especially when I was told this was a "flat rate". That upset me because the customer service agent that scheduled the call could have told me that. I did not have them do the work and figured I could at least use the 10% coupon from Angies List and apply it to the $60 fee. I was told I could use the discount ONLY if work was done. Not a good experience. PLEASE BE AWARE OF THIS WHEN YOU CALL PLUMBING COMPANIES. I will again say that the Tech was very professional. I will also say that I did receive a call from them and did speak with a GM, Tony. He listen to my grievance and credited my service charge. I also appreciated his professionalism but I respectfully disagree about communicating the flat rate charge. Be aware.

Everything went well and is still working nicely after 1-1/2 months. The service person was professional and explained things well.
