"Thank you for having us in your home to rod the bath tub and install your new sink and faucet. This was actually completed in two visits. On the first visit, we rodded a bath tub drain to remove and obstruction. It turned out that the obstruction was part of a tub drain linkage that had broken off and gone down the drain, so it was a bit more involved than a normal drain cleaning. On the second visit, we installed a pedestal type sink and wide spread faucet that the homeowner provided for us. We installed new drain components, and other items needed to complete the job. We appreciate this Member working with us and for the review here on Angie's List."

"Thank you for having us over to your home to install a new ice maker supply line. Develle, who has been working as part of our team for about five years now, completed this work. Sometimes jobs do take a little longer than it may look like they should, or cost a little more (and sometimes less!) than one may think they might, but our job is to make sure that it is done correctly rather than to rush through it. One of the things that our plumbers like about working here, is that unlike at many other companies where fast production is stressed, I tell our plumbers to be efficient but to also make sure that enough time is taken to make sure the job is done well. Unlike a company that charges an hourly amount, our prices are given to our clients up front so even if it takes us a little longer than even we expected it to, the cost to you to do the task described is unchanged!"

"Thank you very much! This member called because he and the other residents of this multi unit building were running out of hot water very quickly. Upon investigation, I found that that the originally installer of the water heater made and error and reversed the cold and hot water going to and from the water heater. Normally we do not recommend any repair to a ten year old heater beyond something very basic, because they are towards the end of the average life expectancy of a modern water heater. However, I offered a repair option in addition to a replacement option, for several reasons; this was a very high quality brand, the cost of a replacement commercial heater is quite expensive, and this unit looked to be in good overall condition. I corrected the hot and cold piping issue, installed a new full size drain valve to properly flush the tank, and installed new anode rods and dip tube. Everything was cleaned, flushed and tested. I am very pleased that it has been working well for a few weeks now! I"

"This Member called with a pretty dire situation-he returned from an out of town trip to find that his cleaning person left his toilet completely clogged. On top of that, she left him without so much as a single square of toilet paper. We were able to get him in soon after his late afternoon call for help. The unclogging went quickly, and since we had to charge him a minimum, we offered to replace his worn out flapper at no cost. We discovered that we were out of that particular flapper, so we made a trip to the hardware store for the replacement, and also picked up a couple of rolls of toilet paper for him. We truly do appreciate the service call and the review!"

Brian removed the old water heater and installed a new Bradford White unit, which is made in the USA. We cover these with a 6 year parts AND LABOR warranty, upgrade the drain valve, and use brass fittings on the inlet and outlet connections to help reduce or eliminate corrosion at those joints. Revising the drain work went well, and we also installed the new faucet without issue. The caulk around her undermount kitchen sink had been done in the past by someone, but the job was a bit messy, so while there, we removed the old caulk and replaced it with new. "We appreciate being rewarded with this project! We removed old galvanized water supply piping in the basement of this member's home and replaced it with new, Type L copper. We redesigned the piping layout so that it was more efficient, and increased sizing where it would be beneficial. We also installed new shut off valves and frost resistant hose faucets as well as a new, high quality Bradford White water heater. Upon completion, we insulated the piping which will help make the system more energy efficient. Initially we obtained the proper permit from the City of Chicago, and arranged for the inspection of the job. It was a pleasure to work for this client. We appreciate the hospitality they displayed throughout the job-we know it is not easy for homeowners to live through an extended job such as this, so we try to be as unobtrusive as possible. "Thank you for calling me regarding your water heater. The member called late on Friday afternoon and we were able to get there that evening. We do our best to handle situations such as hers (no hot water) as quickly as we can! It turned out to be a relatively minor repair to get the water heater working again. However, as her water heater was getting close to the end of it's expected service life, we did make some suggestions and recommendations regarding a replacement unit at some point in the future.
