Excellent. First of all Mike was on time which is the best start to a great professional relationship. He was very professional and did not mind me learning from him so next time I can try to replace the valve and flapper on a toilet and clean out a body spray. Replacing cartridges in a faucet is something I will leave for a professional to do. Also very important is that Goode Plumbing gives a 1yr warranty on parts and labor. They are expensive but worth it since they do it right the first time. In the past I have had a handyman replace a faucet once which left me with a flood in the kitchen. I am sure that is not going to happen with Mike of Goode Plumbing.

I was smelling sewer gas and had several bids on my job by various companies. I think Angie's list is a very viable tool to really narrow down choices and make a final decision. I think reviews are extremely helpful and so I find it important that I give feedback as well to assist others! George came out on a Friday night which was already quite impressive! He was very thorough in looking at my problem and discussing the approach etc. He explained how the breaking open of the basement floor would work and the amount of flooring that he would need to crack open etc. He also told me that there is always a possibility of the unknown when you get down into the pipes and connections etc. and could result in more labor and breaking into a larger area of the flooring so that I would not have any surprises. My questions and concerns were answered thoroughly and I asked for a rough ball park figure, but I was given an actual quote that evening which was really terrific. The team was punctual and very neat and they were able to work within the small 3'x3' area and not upset anymore flooring. It will be very easy to replace the tiling. In addition to replacing the p trap, it was shown to me that a connecting pipe to my catch basin line had a crack in it and should be replaced. Cost $200.00 additional. This was very obvious and I of course wanted to get this done while the flooring was open etc. I liked the team and felt that they presented in a very professional way and made me feel confident that this company was as good as the many review that I had read!

The plumbing issues I needed to be addressed included a leaking toilet and a dripping faucet. When I called to set up an appointment, the receptionist was very courteous and helpful, asking for details about the problem, the type of fixture & etc., and I was able to get an appointment less than a week later, and given an arrival window of between 2 and 5 PM. On the day of the appointment, while out shopping, they called me around noon to let me know the plumber would be arriving shortly after 2 PM, giving me plenty of time to finish my errands and get home to meet him. Brian, the plumber who came out (right on time), was very thorough inspecting the fixtures. He prepared several estimates for various responses to the problems and discussed all the options, including the pros & cons, with me in detail, and even drew several sketches to help explain the specifics. The leaking toilet had several potential solutions, from replacing the inner workings to replacing the entire toilet. As I'm going to be renovating the bathroom next year, I opted to fix the existing toilet rather than replace it. The dripping faucet could not be repaired, only replaced, so I opted to put up with the dripping for now. Brian did not try to push any specific option, but gave me enough information to make intelligent choices. The cost of the agreed-upon work was $250 (after the Angie's List discount); I thought this was very reasonable. It was also a first for me; I've never had a plumber tell me up front exactly how much a repair would be. In the past (pre-Angie's List), all I'd get was a ball park estimate and a bill in the mail later (when they couldn't see my head explode). Once we'd agreed on what he was going to do, Brian immediately went to work. He was very careful to use shoe coverings, removing them when he had to go outside for parts and tools and putting them back on when he re-entered the house. He finished in about an hour and showed me what he'd done, again explaining all the nuances. When he left, everything was as neat and clean as when he first got there. Throughout, he was very professional, courteous and friendly. I am extremely happy with the service and the work; I highly recommend this company to anyone.

I can always count on Goode to do a great job at a reasonable price. They are my go-to plumbers for my house and my parents house. They communicate very well, show up on time, and diagnose issues quickly. I trust them to do the work at a fair price. If you need plumbing work done, give them a call.

MIke D. came to help with a pressure problem in our home. Through a bit of a discovery process we came to find out that I either had a disintegrating dip tube or an incorrect anode rod. This ended up being a much bigger problem and a case where I needed warranty work down by the water heater's service provider. Once that issue was taken care of, Mike came back after I called him directly to work on all of our clogged cartridges--on a Friday night after 5PM! Finally by Friday night we were able to take baths and showers after a week of army showers. We also noticed that our builder, Denmax, had installed the heater check valve upside down which is part of the reason we had this huge issue in the first place. Goode plumbing will be changing that out as well. Thank you to Mike for coming to our rescue. We'll have lunch ready!

They have a good rating and did well. They came on time and they were fine. They cleaned up properly; took out the water heater.

Like so many people, we endured the incredible rainstorm in late June that our current system couldn't withstand. Unfortunately, we had to seek professional assistance in not only repairing but preventing future damage. I had worked with Mike Goode before several times in my current house and a rental property, and without hesitation, I knew they were the ones. This did not stop me from getting quotes from other companies, but Mike's professionalism and value of the customer, ensured Goode Plumbing would get the job done. Since we were getting new wood floors provided by the insurance company, we wanted to make sure it never never happened again. This involved doing three separate projects including: installing a flood control system with battery back-up, connecting downspouts directly into sewer (instead of into an ejector pit) and installing drain tile. In addition, while having these professionals on-sight, we leveraged their time and ability to also run a new water line, change out some old faucets, clean and perform maintenance on our water heater, etc. All of these tasks were quite a project, but Mike Goode and his whole team were relentless in their pursuit of quality work. They worked non-stop over 1.5 months until this was done. I have never seen a company so competent, honest, dedicated and kind. This is not hyperbole, this is reality. An example of this is when they were attaching a new water line to an existing one. The line didn't end up working correctly, and Mike and his team came on a Saturday, worked late into the night and for no extra cost worked until it was done right. I know the value of Angie's list reviews, and from my and my wife's perspective, Goode and his team earned every positive review they've received and especially the one I'm sharing now.

Everything went well. Bob and his assistant arrived on time and work was done in a timely manner. I would definitely call them for any future work and recommend them to anyone in need of plumbing services.

We were very pleased with the installation and repair service. The service people wear shoe covers when they enter our house (very important to me) and they clean up well after they are done with their work. I did not know that the shower handle was under warranty so Jeff bought the part and installed it. When the manufacturer sent me the part, Jeff made an effort to return for reimbursement the manufacturer-supplied part, but the dealer would not accept it. Then the part got misplaced at the Goode office. What impressed me was that they offered to give me credit for the cost of the part during the next service call. The part did show up eventually and it was brought back to me during the last visit last week. Also, when one of the toilets was being installed, Jeff noticed a very small scratch or crack on the toilet rim. He brought this to my attention and Goode ordered another unit. Since the imperfection was not easy to spot, Jeff easily could have just continued with the installation and be done with it. I appreciate the attention to the excellence in quality of service. A few of weeks ago, I noticed that there was excess silicone seal at the base of one of the toilets. I noticed it because dirt was sticking to it. The installation was done three months ago. I called Goode and they were very solicitous in getting someone to return to clean up the excess caulking after so many scheduling challenges. Mike the owner himself came and cleaned up the area. I might also add that Carrie the admin person (spelling?) is very good at following up. I have been so pleased with Goode that when my next door neighbors asked for another plumber recommendation, I told them about Goode Plumbing and I have gotten positive feedback from them. A relief since my initial recommendation did not work out for either of us and we (our neighbors and ourselves) still have unresolved issues with the other company.

We contacted this vendor as he is near our condo that we rent out. We specifically advised the person who answered the phone when we called what the issue is, that our renter would be calling to set up a convenient appointment, and that before any repairs were performed that we wanted a call to give us an estimate of the cost. We left our cell phone number with the provider and indicated that we needed a copy of the receipt for the charge for the estimate and for any subsequent approved work performed to be mailed to us for tax purposes The vendor went to the condo at the appointed time, but then went ahead and repaired the problem without contacting us further. According to our renter, he spent about an hour there installing a new faucet cartridge and charged nearly $300 for the work. He left a copy of the receipt with the renter but never sent one to us. Our renter finally sent us the copy that he left and it explicitly says on top that the receipt should be mailed to us and includes our address as well as our cell phone number for the call for the estimate. In the end, the work was fine, but it was expensive, we were not contacted to approve work as promised, and we had to go to an unnecessary effort to track down a receipt. I assume that if this vendor comes to your home that you'll have more control over the situation, but given that this was at a remote location, you may have issues if your situation is similar.

We had a small communication problem initially using email. When I telephoned and left a message Mike called shortly thereafter. He came the same evening & determined I needed a new cartridge for the cold water. Might as well change left cartridge as well before it becomes a problem. George came the next afternoon and installed both cartridges. Job was done quickly & cleanly. Faucets work great.

They were very professional, nice, real friendly, and we liked them. They are knowledgeable.

I was having a problem with two drains in the basement at my Father's house. Every time it rained the drains would back up. I contacted Goode Plumbing and made the appointment to have someone come out and fix the problem. Bob D. showed up on tiime and listened to what I had to say. He determined that the catch basin needed to be cleaned and the main drain needed to be cleaned. Bob made the arraingments for the pump out for Friday and then came back on Monday to clean out the main drain. It took about four hours to finally get the drain clear. He even sugested I call 311 to have the city clean out the main drain in the street because thats where the problem I had was.

Very pleased with the communication and service provided by Goode. The service person was extremely professional and sought additional advice when he did not have the answers. We will definitely use them again. I am not sure if the price was fair or not, as this time is the first to have our Rinnai Hot Water System serviced.

We had purchased a hot water heater flush coupon - the work on that was done perfectly. We also had our water line that developed a pin hole leak in the elbow. Due to the awkward space (in the downstairs closet), it took a bit of time to correct the issue. The plumber also had to run out several times for the right part but did not charge us extra. Overall, we were very pleased and would hire Goode Plumbing again!

The other day I attempted to adjust the mixer in my shower as it was scalding people. It looked like a simple project?that turned into something much more complicated when the nozzle wouldn?t work any more to turn off the water. But it all ended ok as Goode Plumbing came to help. I called them right after I couldn?t get the water to shut off from the nozzle and had to shut off the water in the entire house. Mike got in touch with me within 30 minutes of calling to say that while they were booked, he was going to try his hardest to get to our house as soon as he could since we couldn?t turn on our water until this was fixed. He had me text him pictures of the issue so that he could ensure he had everything he needed. He was great about keeping me appraised of his progress all day and was able to come right around 5. Once there, I asked to watch as he fixed the faucet so I could see where I had gone wrong. He replaced the two Koehler parts and explained to me how they were actually difficult to figure out since they weren?t labeled at all. He also ensure we had all of the correct valves turned off. We?re in the bottom unit of a three unit building, so we have all of the shut-off valves. He also ensured that my original issue of the water mixing improperly was resolved and that everything was in working order, including advising us on how to fill a hole by the bathtub spout to ensure water wasn?t? getting into the wall. He showed me, too where the shut off valves for just the shower are for future reference. (Turns out the tiling company hadn?t cut the hole large enough so we couldn?t access them.) Mike was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. I greatly appreciated him coming out on such short notice and ensuring that everything was working as it should. I would highly recommend Goode Plumbing, and we will definitely calling them exclusively in the future.

WOW! What a great experience with Mike Goode. Sent the contractor an email with a requested time for service. His receptionist was out, but he made sure I was contacted and he was able to schedule the requested time, which was only a one day notice. He was here on time, completed the work efficiently and was very reasonable. We will definitely keep his name in rolodex for any future plumbing needs. Thanks Mike!

The shower works great now. When Mike came over for the first inspection, he was ready to get into it right away. He was able to diagnose the problem quickly and effectively. The parts took a bit longer than expected to arrive, and when he came back to install them the first time, it was the wrong size. This was not an issue with Goode, but with the vendor for the valve. Mike was very apologetic, and was able to work around my schedule to get everything installed. I would definitely recommend Goode Plumbing.

Goode Plumbing is superb! Job wasn't completed as originally planned, but the boss himself, along with another technician, returned the next day and replaced the spout, FREE OF CHARGE! Very genuine and professional. We will DEFINITELY use Goode Plumbing in the future -- truly the best!!

Bob came out and was friendly and professional from the moment he entered my door. Immediately put on shoe covers and did a walk through of the issues with me. Patiently listened to everything my wife and I had to tell him. Walked me through what needed to be done and gave me preventative tips along the way. My experience with Bob and Goode was fantastic from first contact through the end of the service call. I will be using Goode Plumbing and will request Bob specifically. Highly recommend them!
