Placed on wait list due to the company being busy. They were able to come out one week early. Located and fixed leak. This was accomplished in 3 hours.

I have had water in the basement and thought it might be due to an overflowing drain. I called 6/25 in the am and talked to their very helpful dispatcher Kerri, who said she would try to fit me in same day. After a few phone calls back and forth, the appointment was set up. I believe they went out of their way to fit me in. Bob arrived right when scheduled. He looked around, asked alot of really good questions. and provided advice. I am not a plumber so I would have believed almost anything he said. He did a minor tweak and fixed up what was currently there. He was great! I felt very confident in the advice he was giving me. I could not be happier. I would them again any time.

I placed an after hours request for emergency service. The answering service politely took all my information and I received a call back from Mike within minutes. He was at the building within an hour and luckily had the correct replacement part (they have an inventory of common parts at their shop). Mike fixed the problem in a reasonable amount of time and was very helpful and professional in the process. I would use Goode again and recommend them to others.

At first, the plumber was not able to adapt to my wanting to merely repair my 1904-1912 bathroom elements installed by famlus Chicago architect and contractor Daniel Burnham's firm for his daughter who lived in the house (the permit is on record in Evanston Civic Center). He felt new toilets were so great that it was not worth fixing the old ones. Obviously he's not had an old toilet or sink. Otherwise he would know what he said was wrong. Anyway, after skirmishes, Mr. Goody himself took over the job and cleaned and fixed the problems of two of the toilets. Because new elements do not always adapt well to the old, and because he felt he had to replace some old elements that were working because of the need to disassemble the toilets in order to fix what was working, the toilets do not quite work as well as originally. But the problems were fixed and Mr. Goode made a very great effort not to break the old things. He did a lot of hard work for reasonable prices. Plumbers from the firm also cleaned out my old water heaters of their alkaline concretions, so the hot water pipes are much for forthcoming than before. Goode gave an estimate for replacing the old water heaters. When the heaters die, I will replace them but only then. I am very satisfied with the work.

. The technician Mike arrived promptly, and put booties over his shoes to enter the house (first plus). He looked at both jobs I had for him, got his tools, quoted me a preliminary price and got to work. We didn't know what the problem was in the kitchen faucet, just that after the people below us had shut off the building water for a day, we had almost no water coming out of the kitchen faucet. We did know after taking apart the hose from the faucet there was plenty of pressure coming up to the faucet. The technician quickly switched out the toilet tank and pressure unit inside the tank for the quoted price of $180. Then he took apart the faucet and found a huge amount of rust buldup. He cleaned out the rust, put the faucet back together and now we have great water pressure. Very efficient and professional!

I hired Goode Plumbing based on the Angie's List reviews and because of the care with which the owner, Mike, showed for his business and reputation. I felt confident that I was in good hands for the installation of a new....and very simple kitchen faucet. My initial call to the receptionist, Kerrie, included info on the current and new faucet to be installed as well as the fact that I was an Angie's List member. Kerrie was polite, efficient and pleasant in spite of being very busy. I had gotten three additional estimates from other plumbers and had carefully gone thru all Angie's List reviews by previous Goode customers needing similar service to mine, so I would have a rough idea of the cost beforehand. I think it is fair to assume many people would do the same. Prior to the plumber's arrival at my condo, he called from his truck and asked "Was I aware of what the installation of a single hole faucet was going to cost me?" I replied that I had done significant research beforehand and felt I had a fairly good idea of what the cost would/should be. He then replied that the cost would be $405! Even having been without water in the kitchen for a week , I would not agree to the price as it stood, sight unseen as it was. He then offered to "come in and see the faucet and perhaps then be able to negotiate a better price". He also asked "what other plumbers had quoted me for the job?" The plumber inspected the new faucet and returned to the truck to make a phone call to the office, returning with a price quote of $285, which was in line with previous estimates. The entire job took 20 minutes which included a trip back to the truck for a tool. The plumber was respectful of my home, knowledgeable, efficient and clean. I made it very clear to the plumber that I was not upset with him or his work but the tactics involved beforehand. Now perhaps this is standard operation procedure or just starting off on the "wrong foot", a misunderstanding or miscommunication, but the initial incident has left me feeling very uneasy and I am not sure I would be comfortable using this company again without clarification of this matter. Yes, I understand and appreciate that a licensed bonded and insured plumber that offered a two year warrantee on labor is not cheap and plumbing prices can vary upon complexity. I am satisfied with the work done, price paid in the end, but not with the overall experience. The question that lingers is, had I not objected/questioned to the initial stated price of $405, ****job site unseen, not been aware of prices for like service from equally reputable plumbing companies, or desperate enough to agree to anything, would I have been charged $405? This is the impression I have been left with and it doesn't sit well.

Goode Plumbing is very committed to customer satisfaction. The plumber sent out was very nice and replaced the broken stopper on our tub. Mr. Goode reached out to me to ensure we were pleased with the overall experience and I very much appreciate the contact. Thank you!

I stand by my original assertion that I made a call to this specific company and left a detailed message that was never returned. However, I am revising the rating I've given in an attempt to be fair, based upon the owner's reasonable and conciliatory reply. If an opportunity to do so presents itself, I would be willing to give this business a second chance.

GREAT! Bob was on time, very knowledgeable and very skilled in his work. All 3 issues were dealt with and Bob gave me good information and explanations (and said to use vinegar on my kitchen spray nozzle and I did while he was here. Cleaned and fixed the spray so worked beautifully again). He explained what was to be done, we looked at things together for the inspection of the plumbing, he gave an estimate, no sell job. Definitely going to use Goode again!

Great. Punctual and fixed it.

I had purchased a new toilet to replace an aging toilet from the 1920's. Originally I was going to use the Lowes installation service, But they could not install the toilet for at least 3 weeks or longer. Having already been without a toilet for over a week, I have to find an alternative plumber to do the install. I called my usual plumber several times, but they never returned my call. I turned to Angies List and found Goode Plumbing. I called their office at 12:30 in the afternoon and they had a plumber at my home within 35 minutes. The plumber, Jose Guerra was clean, polite, courteous and professional. Left the bathroom cleaner than before he started work. I am so pleased with their work that I will be using them for all my future plumbing jobs.

Develle was incredibly friendly, profession and efficient.

We first called Goode because we had water/sewer back-up in our basement. They came were able to come over in a very short period of time, knew exactly what to do, and it was very affordable. The next time we called them was because we were having trouble with the water pressure in a shower that was fairly new. We assumed it has something to do with the installation, however, they immediately thought to check our other (older) shower and realized the issue was with our water heater and not the new shower. They gave us 3 possible solutions to fix the problem. They know what they're doing and they're very straight forward. We have definitely found our new "go-to" plumbing company.

This was our second time using this plumber. We were very happy the first time when we had to solve a water pressure issue in our shower. There's a lot of new construction in our neighborhood and they stuck to their estimate although it took well over the estimated amount of time in order to flush the piece of rust out of our pipes. I meant to leave a review then, but never got a chance. But the plumber was very informative and honest. He looked at my faucet upstairs and didn't charge me for it, since it took a minute. This time plumber replaced the cartridge and shower works well now. Parts and labor are under warranty for 2 years. I would definitely recommend again.

. Very good work. Just a note they only install Bradford and White water heaters. And second prices seemed high. For example, $225 to install a commode fill value or $125 to replace a flapper. That seemed high since they where already on site for the water heater install and combined these items took about 45 minutes. So, good quality work but if you are on a budget best to get prices ahead of time. I would only use this vendor again only if I could not find another company who does this quality of work at lower prices. Or perhaps use a handyman for the some of the minor work.

Everything went well. I purchased an Angie's List coupon for the service and quickly set up my appointment. The service technician came on time and was polite, professional and knowledgable.

When I called for service, Mike was friendly and stayed on the phone to answer all of my questions. He rearranged his schedule to accommodate mine. Originally had bigger project planned and he didn't bat an eye when the project scope decreased. He showed up early (with permission) and finished the job quickly. Would absolutely use him again.

We just purchased the home ("as is") and needed to assess what kind of work was needed. Reggie was the Goode tech who performed the inspection. He was very informative and obviously knowledgeable. He was very patient in answering all of my questions and provided thorough responses. We were able to get quotes and Reggie helped prioritized the list of work that is needed. Have to reiterate that it was evident Reggie was very experienced in the field to the point where he could explain the problems in laymen's terms so we could understand why potential work was needed. Lastly, the inspection was thorough - checked the system in and out of the house. As far as plumbing inspections go, Goode did a great job.

It went well. They did satisfactory work. I actually had them out last year for something that was pretty more serious and they took care of the problem. I think the price was high, but I think they all are.

Pipe burst and had water coming out of one of my fixtures in the kitchen. Immediately turned off the water and looked on Angie's list to find Goode Plumbing. Called and they were here the next day at 8:00am. Very professional and got the job done quickly. He found the pipe after looking behind the sink and fixed it. It was hard not having water for a day, but it was great to get it back with the help of a Goode plumber.

My experience with them was fine. They did a good job. I've used them a couple of times. They come on time and charge what they say they're going to charge. They're very reliable.

They cleared everything up. They cleaned up after themselves. What stood out about them was their fast response time. They were great.

It took longer than expected and cost more than expected. But everything works great and we would definitely use them again in the future.
