Outstanding! Removing the existing clay bottomless sump basin and digging a larger pit was unfortunately not in my budget. Decided to repair the existing clay basin and seal the cracks, remove debris from bottom of pit and install bricks along pit bottom. Replaced the Zoeller pump and Basement Watchdog with Ion Deluxe Battery Back-Up Sump System (recommended by Goode). Reggie did all of the work and he was the best; highly professional, very courteous and knowledgeable. The new Ion pumps perform great and are so quiet! I've used Goode before for other plumbing repairs and their entire crew is fabulous. Goode is the only plumbing company I will ever call!

Goode charged $60 to come out and provide and estimate (the only plumber of the ones I contacted to charge just for an estimate). What a waste. The first guy came out when my wife was home. He told her that he couldn't give an estimate until they ripped open all my kitchen walls. I made them come back when I was home becuase we paid for an estimate and did not get one. The next guy told me he would have to "smoke test" all my pipes, replace all the cast iron piping in my house (none of which leaks by the way), dig up my basement floor and probably run a new drain pipe outside. He gave me an estimate of $30,000-$50,000 (did I mention I really just needed a dishwasher moved?). He also promised a written estimate of the work that would need to be done. I never got the written estimate. I will never contact this company again and I will never recommend them either.

It went fine, and did the maintenance. I was very impressed with them.

We recently purchased a new kitchen sink faucet head to replace a cracked one, but water was still leaking out of the faucet and below the sink. Brian came out and replaced the spray hose to fix the problem. He was helpful, provided various recommendations, and even helped to fix an issue with our shower head as a courtesy with no charge. From what I could see in some searching afterwards, the price may have been a little on the hard side, so next time I may shop around to see if I could get a cheaper quote, but price is the only thing that didn't deserve an A grade.

Requested Goode Plumbing to evaluate a clogged toilet that had been professionally rodded one month previously. Although not very affable, the technician worked efficiently to diagnose my plumbing problem. The reason for the low review is due to the estimate/costs of their services. Of the three (3) different plumbing companies I have worked with in the past two months, Goode Plumbing exceeded all other pricing by 50%. More specifically, quoted prices for services by Goode are double than other plumbing suppliers who are also licensed and bonded and represented on Angie's List with excellent reviews. With that being said, it is very hard to justify the exorbitant prices for Goode services. For this reason, I cannot recommend the use Goode Plumbing and would encourage others to shop around.

The company kept in contact with us, they scheduled day and time for the work to be done. The plumber called us on the day when work was planned to be done, about 1/2 hour before work was to be done and showed up on time. He diagnosed the problem correctly and cleared the blocked drain pipes. He was knowlegdable and informative, explained in detail what had to be done and how to prevent the blockage from building up again (this part can be verified only with time). We had some more unrelated questins for upcoming home improvements, he was receptive, answering our questions. Cleanup after the plumbing work was done well. I thought that price was bit high, but overall I believe that the money were well spent. For other work that I plan to do in future the Goode Plumbing will be on my short list.

The estimate was too high. $125. I called the office and all you got was an answering machine.

Brian - the plumber - was very professional. Replace broken sink parts, provided guidance on things we needed to do to address slow drain (did not try to sell unneeded services, but recommended some drain treatments we could order). Brian explained work and charges in advance. Kerry (sp?) dispatch worked to accommodate urgent need and even fit us in earlier. Mike (first person with whom I spoke) returned a call Friday evening based upon message left with answering service.

Great. Some things didn't go right and they immediately came back and rectified. They really stand by their work as it was completed two years ago. Great company, super responsive. Thanks Goode Plumbing!

It was excellent! Mike was extremely honest, smart, professional and fair. I'm a new homeowner, and it can be very scary to deal with contractors. (Am I right?!) Mike talked me through everything he was fixing and I saw with my own eyes what the challenges were with my vintage faucet. It's nice to be included in the project! He replaced the old cracked porcelain faucet handles with matching reproductions. He also gave me tips about protecting my pipes through these insane chicago winters. I learned a lot. Will definitely call them again!

Drew was able to easily fix these issues without having to replace the shutoff valves or rod out the sink drain, which saved me quite a bit of money. He showed me the products he used so that I could fix these issues again if they ever cropped up.

Woke up to a leak under my kitchen sink. Called Goode and a couple other plumbers. Goode told me they probably couldn't get to me this week because they were busy. I arranged to have another plumber come the next day. One hour later, I received a call from Mike telling me they had a plumber in the area who had just finished a job. Turns out it was a team of 2 and they showed up 10 minutes later. They quickly diagnosed the problem and informed me that I could probably get the part I needed from Grohe directly since they have a lifetime warranty. They would then return and install the new party for $245. Or I could let them take the faucet with them, they would disassemble and identify the part they needed, get it from their supplier and return later in the day to reinstall the faucet for $345. I chose the latter option. As it turned out, they had the part they needed (a cartridge) on their truck. So they were able to finish the repair right away. They also replaced a bolt on my disposal that had corroded. They were done in 1 1/2 hours.

Plumber arrive on time, we discussed what was needed, viewed pipes in basement and performed the needed pipe adjustment. Plumber then connected, placed and balanced new stove. Also received quote for new hot water heaters: tank and tankless as well as a laundry hook-ups for second set in basement. Both are on hold until we move in and catalogued all prioritized projects.

Reggie was great from start to finish. He ran my dishwasher 3 times to ensure the replaced fixture, etc no longer leaked. Very thorough when describing to me exactly what was wrong and how he was planning on fixing it. I felt very confident in his work.

I have used Goode 3 times now and have been extremely pleased with the service provided as well as follow up. Both Jose and Reggie were very thorough, professional and walked me through the work that they were going to perform. I like that that they provide a warranty for their work. Great customer service! And would use them again!

sump pump cleaning didn't do much, Expected him to use dry/wet vacuum to suck out silt and sand in pit.

When arranging appointment, was told there would be a $60 service charge for a visit and work estimate, the $60 to be applied to the charge if work proceeded. The plumber arrived (at an unscheduled time) and did an hour's worth of work without providing an estimate. He then wrote out a bill for $310.50 (including a 10% coupon discount), which is outrageously expensive. Subsequently, the home office agreed to reduce the bill to $238.50, which was paid...still very expensive for an hour. The lesson here: Do not use this company unless you have unlimited money and don't care about over-billing.

Recommended and performed maintenance.

One issue, but resolved to my satisfaction.

Once again, everything went well and we will definitely use Goode Plumbing again.

Yeah they were great they were fantastic, I would give them five stars. They were really responsive and their cost is really reasonable for the work they did. Their not super professional but their actually pretty great, there were some issues where they were reaching out to the wrong person we had our vice president connected our building with them so immediately some issues in the payment and they reached out to him instead of me I'm the treasurer so I'm the one cut the cheque I didn't know they needed it I didn't know they didn't gotten their payment so there was some problems there, their invoicing that they sent to the vice president instead of us, but he could have been more proactive about that.

Everything done very well. Highly recommend.

Fantastic job !!! We have used Mike on many occasions and he has always been super and a true gentlemen. The toilets were backed up and we were unable to use the toilets, we suspected the ejector pump as there was water accumulating around it. I called Mike and they were extremely busy. However, seeing our plight - unable to use the bathroom- he was kind of enough to somehow fit us in. Deveille came to our place on time and was a true professional. He replaced the ejector pump and cleaned up after wards. He also explained about some of the issues to keep the pump working properly- very nice. I like the fact that they wear shoe covers when coming inside. Everything is working perfectly. Mike is our "hero" and a true life saver. I cannot begin to thank Mike and his team enough for their professionalism and courteous work. Thank you again Mike.
