We have some issues in our building and rely on Mike and his team each time!

They were very professional and described the problem as well as the work that needed to be done. They were very punctual and their pricing was the best versus the competition. They also were able to complete the work one time and I would use them again.

These guys came out on short notice and were courteous and helpful, really professional. Explained what they found, what they did and why this could have happened. They cleaned up after themselves and were friendly to chat with while working. I trusted having them in my home.

Outstanding work quality and professionalism from Mike and his team. Attentive and thoughtful approach to the project. They created a temporary hookup for overnight water service. Cleaned up well. Results were as hoped -- improved water pressure and reliable hot water service. Fair price.

Very well. The work was completed, fully satisfactory, within 6 hours. This firm was the least expensive of the three bidders and one of the other firms had estimated the work would take 1 1/2 days.

This was a very smooth process. Both times, we were able to easily reach someone to schedule an appointment for the next day. Both technicians were professional, personable, and very neat. I had no mess to clean up either time, even though both times they had to enlarge the ceiling hole to see what was going on. Initially, the faucet caulking was fixed since that was the more likely scenario and avoided putting any more holes in our house. When that wasn't the case, the second technician charged us only for materials and not for a service call. He was also very helpful in explaining what was going on, showing me what he was seeing, and also in recommendations regarding tiling. We had been thinking about a new bathtub, and this would be the time to do that since the tiles will be ripped out; he was quite helpful with information about tubs. We will certainly call on them again for this additional work. We were very pleased. I was bracing myself for some horrendous amount of money, but the charge was more than reasonable. In addition, the two technicians were enjoyable to talk to, and very good with our dogs, who tend to be nosy.

I called Mike to get some information on getting a garbage disposal installed and the type of disposal to look for. He was very helpful and recommended disposals that I could find at local home improvement stores, and also recommended some higher quality disposals that he could pick-up for me. He was very flexible and accommodating when scheduling an appointment for me, and gave me updates throughout the afternoon and evening to let me know what time someone would arrive to complete the service. The person who installed the garbage disposal was very friendly, installed the disposal in a timely manner, and even organized all of our things back under the sink (more neatly than we had them). Overall we had a great experience.

Good. Arrived on time and gave us an estimate before proceeding. Wore booties. Was here about 4 hours and was able to deal with unexpected issues. Also, gave advice on other pending plumbing issues. Did not get other estimates, so no way of remarking on competitiveness of price, that's why I said "fair".

Great experience. It took a couple of weeks to schedule a service call, but that was because of frozen pipe emergencies, and my job was not an emergency. Originally scheduled a 4 hour window, called the night before to confirm and then called the morning of the job to give a smaller 2-hour window. Also called 1/2 before arrival. Mike assessed the job, gave me a clear explanation of what needed to be done and a quote on how much it would cost. The work was done quickly, no mess and at the price quoted. Mike Goode was very courteous and professional.

Michael Goode arrived at the time promised. He was informative and very knowledgeable about what needed to be done to eliminate the problem. I thought the leak was from the pipe. Michael showed me that the water was actually coming from the flushing unit in the tank which was squirting water up and over the outside of the tank whenever you flushed and slowly dripping down the tank through the holes where the seat is attached to the toilet and then dripping onto the floor. He replaced the flushing unit and installed a pipe under tank with one that had a water cut-off valve (the original pipe did not have one). He made sure that everything was functioning properly before he left.

It's hard to have someone in your home with you for 6 full days, but Mike and Co were very pleasant, well spoken, efficient, meticulous, fastidious and easy to be around. They didn't mind questions, explained things thoroughly, and stayed on the job until it was completed. Mike returned my call within 24 hours. Set up an appointment ASAP. Gave his opinion on our problems in a logical format. No hard sell, no threatening verbiage. It was very easy going with no problems. We'll be using him again shortly to replace our hot water heater with an on-demand system.

The pipes burst at 12:30 a.m. on the first coldest day of the year - Sunday going into Monday right before Christmas. What was my luck in finding anyone willing to respond to my emergency? I picked Mike off the list. Mike called me nearly immediately after I left a rather panicked and pathetic voice mail. He already had two jobs that day but promised to fit me in. Must have been my sad and sorrowful voice that convinced him. Mike came after normal working hours (he started that day at 5:30 a.m.) and worked until 10:30 p.m. to get us squared away. He found four places over three floors where the pipes had burst. He was meticulous in his work and EXTREMELY neat. He was methodical in taking care that all problems figured out. Even though it was necessary for him to make holes in the walls - he has to be the NEATEST plumber ever - the holes were as non-invasive as ever and he left his work area immaculate when he was done. Mike checked and double checked that everything was right before he left. He was genuinely nice to deal with - and I have had some plumbers in this property that weren't and didn't know what they were doing. Happily this was not the case with Mike. We will definitely be using him again for emergency work or not. I just hope he doesn't get too much work and can't fit us in after all the good reviews from this list!

Very satisfactory experience. I read reviews of Goode Plumbing at Angie's List, called and got a very prompt, friendly and professional response. All work was performed beautifully.

Because of the house's history, and where the leaking water was visible, the leak could have been behind any one of six walls. A load-bearing internal brick wall also meant that even creating a pilot holes to look for the leak might involve breaking kitchen or bath tile. I called my current plumber and asked if he had a camera-snake. He did not, so I called Mike. He did. Once on site, Mike had me turn the house water back on while he went room to room and listened. Mike's first pilot hole, which he made on the inside of a kitchen cabinet, was amazingly within 8 inches of the leak. I assumed he would then cut through the next section of cabinet to get on-center with the pipe, but instead, he did all the work through this hole. This involved hack-sawing out a section of pipe and brazing in a new section, all through a gap that was about 5" wide, maybe 10" deep, at right angles to the initial hole. If you looked at the space, you would not think it was possible to work. Still, the actual brazing of the joint was perfect - no solder drips or bubbles, perfect fill and shiny. He did a better job brazing in that space than my last plumber did in the open (on a hot water heater). With a combination of right tools (camera snake), intuition, and truly first-class skill he saved us thousands of dollars in repairs.

The home improvement store, where I purchased the toilet and sink, recommended several plumbing companies. They told me Goode would be very completive. I called several companies and left voice mails. When I called Mike Goode he picked up the phone and made an appointment with me for a free estimate. He was able to come over and give me an estimate within two days. Mike Goode told me to check Angie's List to get information about his company. I like what others had to say about Goode. I had a nightmare with the last plumber I used. After giving me an estimate he was able to return the next day to do the work. I gave him a set of keys. After the work was done he called me at work to let me know he was finished. He did an excellent job. The bathroom was spotless when I got home. He even wore cover-ups on his shoes to keep my place clean. I just can't say enough about the work that was performed and how happy I was with the work.

The week of Christmas we had a busted water pipe that resulted in no hot water just as guests were expected to arrive. I called Goode Plumbing in the morning and they were able to come out later that afternoon. Mr. Goode was very professional-he explained the problem and quickly repaired it, as well as suggesting how I could avoid this problem in the future. I would definitely use this company's services again.

Mike went above and beyond in terms of service. We had some flooding issues due to a problem with our toilet and scheduled an appointment with Mike for two days post contact. Unfortunately, the problem got worse with the passage of time and we called Mike to see if he could come a day early. He was extremely accommodating, and offered to come after his last job of the day after 6:00 in the evening, without charging anything additional. That last job took longer than anticipated; however, he offered to come either at midnight or at 6:00 the next morning because we had carpet cleaners scheduled to sanitize the carpet at 9:00 a.m. (and he did not charge us extra!). He ended up coming at 6:00 a.m. the next morning and was able to solve the problem. He even asked me at the end how I heard about him, and when I told him "Angie's List" he voluntarily offered me the 10% off coupon, which saved me $50. I would not hesitate to use Mike again. He's a very nice, honest guy.

Mike returned my initial and subsequent calls immediately and set up an appointment within a week of my initial call. He was knowledgeable, punctual and professional and completed all repairs in one visit. He willingly provided the 10% Angie's List discount when he asked how I found out about his company.

I called Mike Goode and he scheduled within a week. He was prompt, very professional and worked neatly. He examined the fixture and found debris in it. Removed it cleaned it out and replaced it. He gave me some information about what I should look out for next time. Great job.

Got an estimate, which was fine. As is often the case with plumbing, sometimes you try to pull out something that is broken and more problems present themselves as you open up the whole mess. This did happen in our case. Where it did, Mike charged us only for the materials but not labor. We had our plumbing nightmare addressed and our costs were somewhat contained. I have to click on "higher than estimate" "right on" or "lower". I'll click higher, but that is only because of the extra work that had to be done. Mike felt pretty strongly about giving a firm price as opposed to a floating estimate, but it wouldn't have made sense for him to work for free in this case or donate materials.

Micheal Goode responded quickly to my message, scheduled the appointment for a couple of days later. He was detained on a previous job, but called and gave me an updated ETA. Still with in the original 2 hour window. Work was completed at different properties: 1st property; One vintage toilet was running, and he was able to restore with new brass fittings for cock & ball apparatus. Second toilet more modern fixture also running, replaced intake mechanism. Vintage shower faucets leaking, repaired. 2nd Property; Repaired hot water flow issue in shower faucets in and kitchen. Gave advice about how to get a pull-out kitchen faucet replaced/repaired & provided name of supplier. Mr. Goode was very friendly and professional provided information and recommendations about the work to be completed. He was very knowledgeable about the plumbing industry and provided many useful pieces of advice, not directly related to the job.

Mike Goode was punctual (a little late, but he actually called to tell me!), efficient, professional, explained everything to me so I thoroughly understood what he was doing and why, and best of all, I think he left my bathroom cleaner than before he came! I would highly recommend him to anyone who has any plumbing needs! He did a great job and everything is working like new.

Mike was great from beginning to completion of job. Came out next day, called to explain problems and finished work same day. A few days later when I had a question about the work, he called back immediately- told me what to do, and said he'd be right out if that didn't solve the problem. He told me if it couldn't be fixed that he would give a full refund and apply it to a new water heater (mine was quite old). His solution worked. Mike was easy to talk to and pleasant the whole time, even when I thought there might be a problem, he handled the questions with the utmost respect.
