Overall, we have a beautiful wrought iron fence with a unique design and privacy wood inserts. There is no doubt that the fence is of the utmost quality. The reason for the grades given stem from some of the and quot;battlesand quot; we had with the contractor. The first battle was with the drywall screws being used on the wood fence. It took another contractor to point out that deck screws needed to be used because drywall screws are not made for the outdoors and in wood. The next issue came about with the hole depth for the posts. That was caught by the city inspector who realized the holes were not up to code. and the final issue came about with a disagreement regarding the deliverables for the project. Although it was a situation where some assumptions may have been made on our part due to conversations that took place, it was an uncomfortable discussion with the contractor. We really felt that we were getting nickel and dimed on minor additions. The final straw was when they wanted to charge us for something that we strongly felt was discussed as being included in the price. In the end they covered the inclusion but we were disappointed with how the contractor spoke to us concerning the issue.
