About us

Goldsmith Electric is licensed by the city of Chicago. We specialize in residential new construction, rehab, and service calls. We do everything from full electrical installations to small service calls. Larger jobs are done by quote and contract. Smaller jobs and service calls are billed hourly. There is a one hour minimum of $80. Each subsequent hour is $60 plus materials.

Description of Work: He had to trouble shoot bad wiring in a very old condo building. In the end he disconnected the bad wiring and pulled a new wire from the electrical panel, installed a new breaker and buttoned everything up. |Cost was exactly as quoted and not expensive for 2 hrs labor +wire+breaker. |(In fact, the previous electrician, who did the damage charged almost twice as much). Mr. Goldsmith is willing to explain what is going on and works quickly.
