Gigi's Dolls & Sherry's Teddy Bears has been serving the Doll and Bear world in the Chicago area for over 25 years. We cater to all ages and all different doll lovers and collectors. At Gigi’s we have a large assortment of antique, vintage, and modern collectible dolls. We also carry teddy bears and plush animals, doll houses and doll house miniatures. Your dolls and bears are not complete without personalizing their wardrobe with our numerous fashions including clothing and accessories to fit your American Girl dolls.

I was pleased with the doll that needed to be restrung. The pricing was reasonable. They called when it was ready.
Description of Work: They have all kinds of dolls, from antique to modern, and teddy bears. They also have a doll hospital where they fix dolls. I took a couple dolls from my childhood to them and they repaired them.

The craft and care was exceptional. The repaired body parts blend right in with the original surfaces and the repairs (other than the new wig, of course), would not easily be spotted by the naked eye. Different craftspeople performed different parts of the restoration. The repairs took about four to five weeks. I could not have been more pleased with Gigi's work and would give my highest recommendation to this store for antique doll repair. They also have a great selection of dolls, clothes, and accessories, old and new, for sale. These folks clearly know their trade and have a great love for dolls. Any doll collector would love this store!
Description of Work: Two antique bisque dolls that had been in our family for over 70 years needed restoration. One doll needed to be restrung. Some broken fingers and toes needed to be replaced. One arm, one hand, and one neck needed repair. One doll had been previously repaired, many years ago by someone unqualified; her hair had been glued down with a mucilage substance. The glue and hair had to be removed (and replaced with a new wig) and she needed her eyes to be reset from inside her head.
