Work is beautiful and exactly to the specs determined before project began. Garrett Carlson came out to estimate day after request. Quote was better than or equal to the three others I had received, but without the attitude. We scheduled a start date for about a week out, but it rained several days prior which push the date one day. Garrett called to let me know two days prior. Crew showed up exactly on time and did removal, excavation and prep for pour. When they left for the day there was not a pebble to be cleaned up. They came back to pour two days later (had to wait on the City inspector to approve). I had to leave just as they were finishing, and when I came home several hours later, one of the guys from the crew was sitting in his car in front of the house keeping watch because some kids walking home from school were eyeing the freshly poured concrete and he was worried they would carve their names into it while I wasn't there. He sat there for about 2-1/2 hours! (and no, I did not get charged for it). Guys came back next day to remove forms and do a final spotless clean-up. Garrett emailed me the invoice about a week later and it was exactly what we agreed upon.

Called 11 days ago and left a message. No response.

Garrett was very responsive to my call and made the visit to my home for estimate the next day (on a Saturday) . The next work day I received his estimate, liked the price, and asked that he schedule me in as soon as he could (I need to replace the deck soon). We agreed to a date. I also told him that I was open for a and quot;surpriseand quot; visit from his crew should his job schedule shift. A schedule shift happened and Garrett and crew were able to get the job done sooner than initially discussed... which was to my scheduling benefit! I wasn't home for the job but when I got home that night all the concrete was removed as expected and if it weren't for the empty spaces where the slabs once were, I'd never know they were even there. The clean up was excellent. I am very pleased with Garrett's professionalism and GH Carlson's quality of work.

I called for an estimate and Garrett came out the same day, which was a Wednesday. He e-mailed me an estmate later that night. They came to do the work two days later on Friday, and finished the job in one day. The new sidewalk looks great. I was impressed with their responsiveness and the quality of the work. I would definitely call them again for any future concrete work I need done.

They were fantastic. They did the work as planned. They were flexible with the plans moving forward. They got it done in a short period of time. They discussed things with me as we moved along. He did it really quickly and it was a real quality job. He bid against someone else and he was much more flexible about providing the details upfront. I could understand him unlike the other guy who didn't have good English. I would recommend them for concrete work and I would use him again.

These guys did a great job. Garrett (the owner) came out with 2 other guys and they were able to get the job done in one day. He was very easy to work with and the price was very good compared to some other quotes we got. Would use them again if we have any other concrete problems.

He did a very good job. I wasn't actually here when they did the work. He was very busy this summer and he squeezed me in because it was a small job. I had another estimate and he came in a little lower and did a little more work. He was punctual when I met him.

Garret and his dad came out and reviewed giving us a possible solution for our problem as well as a few helpful suggestions for other issues they identified when reviewing the foundation. Not sure they wanted such a small project, but they handled it professionally and it seems to have worked.

I felt comfortable with them in my home. He took the time to do measurements and write it all down. He did send us the better estimate. I am waiting to hear back from him for a start date. I was pleased with his estimate.

In my previous report, I gave this company an F for not responding to my requests for an estimate. Mr. Carlson came to my house right after I submitted my report (before it was posted on Angie;s List). He was very apologetic for not coming out sooner and I look forward to receiving his estimate.

They gave me a couple names of people who did the specific work with smaller equipment. They said that if they used their equipment, just raising it would shatter a couple slabs. It was nice of him to recommend other companies that did mud jacking.

Garrett and his team did a great job. I would recommend them for any concrete needs you have. He communicated along the way very well and the job was done in 3 days in very hot July weather. I would use GH CARLSON CONCRETE again without hesitation.

Garrett was very responsive over e-mail and phone. Pricing was extremely fair and competitive even when the job expanded in scope (two additional slabs replaced). When we replace the sidewalk in front , we'll definitely be giving him a call. Punctual and excellent quality - a job well done.

Needed an estimate to build a concrete barrier around back stairwell to block water. Decided on a different method - raising the land around the stairs, so water would not flow there in the first place.

Garrett was professional and responsive from my first phone call to schedule an appointment. He responded with an estimate immediately which was much lower than a previous estimate I received for the same job. Due to weather, I decided to put the project on hold from last Fall to this past Spring. His crew completed the project in a few days and it turned out exactly as I had hoped. He was easy-going, professional, and a pleasure to work with.

The dig-out and pouring went extremely well. Sand was everywhere for a while outside the house but they did a decent job cleaning up. They used a conveyor belt out one of the basement windows. The window got banged up but it didn't matter since we were putting in new ones. He stuck to the time frame that we had discussed. It took a couple weeks with a short break in between for a previously scheduled vacation and the plumbers to lower the sewage system. They worked peacefully with the plumbers.

He's great. The steps are lovely. He was straightforward, easy to deal with and competent. He came when he said that he was going to come. He gave me an estimate right away. He did the work when he was supposed to do it and the work is good quality. It was a very good experience. I would absolutely use him again.

The job was performed very well. They were very professional and detailed. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

He was very good. The price was reasonable. It wasn't too long of a sidewalk. The sidewalk was up to the house from the street making it little higher towards the house so that the roots of the trees wouldn't crack the concrete. The old sidewalk was all broken up because of the roots of the trees and it was an old sidewalk. He worked with his crew. He had people helping him. They had to take out the old concrete and haul the way. I live in a very narrow street. I was worried about how the truck would take away the concrete and all that stuff, but it worked out very well. He worked well as a team pulling the concrete, mixing and directing his team to put up the concrete. He was punctual and showed up on time.

Called asking for estimate on 9/2,cal returned 9/8 and was going to visit and give extimate within a few days, called them 9/16 and was told they were too busy to give an estimate or have my business...
