Very helpful for those looking for a few plants to those looking for full-on landscaping

He did a very good job transplanting the plant. He was also very informative regarding future care of the plant. It was even necessary to call him for further information and he was very willing and very helpful.

All plants ever purchased from Gethsemane have thrived and done very well.

Very well. I needed 13 bushes and they had all I needed in stock. They cost $39.95 each.

Work performed was suggestions and ideas to accomplish plantings. They were creative with ideas for various stock to be used in the plantings. Prices were a little higher than average but great stock probably equates to higher prices, my best quess.

The sales person was very knowledgeable and helpful.

This is by far and away the best garden center in Chicago. We live nearby but have friends who drive here from the Gold Coast to take advantage of it. Huge selection of annuals and perennials, all in great condition. Large displays of garden ornaments and home goods. Everything beautifully presented. The staff always have informed answers about our gardening questions and they really know the stock. They are a valuable part of the neighborhood and we wouldn't go anywhere else.

I've purchased various plantings from them over many years, but have never hired them to plant.

I think they have a great selection and the people are really helpful. I am not the one who shops the most, my mom does but the people are really nice and knowledgeable. I tell them that they have a great selection of things for gardening and landscaping. They also have a nice gift shop and the people there are very helpful and nice and friendly. It is definitely worth taking a look.

The quality of the plants was excellent and the options and selection were great. THey were helpful, very knowledgeable and patient as we were novices. Several years ago, they installed some trees and bushes that did quite well, although be sure to check on what to expect in terms of growth!!

I use Gethsemane severl times a year to purchase th highest quallity flowers, groundcover, shrubs and trees. They provide excellent advice for all types of issues concerning what plants to buy, how to plant and tend them and how to deal with problems, like the dead English Ivy we had after this very difficult winter.

I have purchased ALOT of flowers, plants, planters, mulch etc. from here in the past year. Great neighborhood place with amazing employees! Might not be the cheapest, but they have an amazing variety of flowers and plants.

They are fairly pricey but they are good. They are very knowledgeable people and they stand behind their product. I have been to them for years and I would go back there anytime. They have fixed price for trees if they have to install or something but otherwise it is a free center. Their quality is good and people come from the neighborhood to buy plants. I like them because they will tell you if some plants don’t flourish in a certain environment which you might think it might and that kind of knowledge is important.

If purchasing ANYTHING from Gethsemane, make sure that you purchase the product directly...the discount that our landscapers received from them was not passed on to us so we got screwed two ways...landscapers used the discount, charged us full price and Gethsemane refuses to honor guarantee because landscapers received discount.

Expensive but well. Gethsemane is a full service garden center employing many knowledgeable staff. Translation: it's not a discount garden center. That said, our order was collected, assembled, and loaded onto our landscaper's truck on time and professionally. They also let me return a boxwood that died within the year.

They are very cheerful, professional, and organize the wood neatly. The quality of the wood is good as well.

Great place to get ideas for container planting.

They sell flowers too and they are extremely knowledgeable about what grows where and how to nurture plants. They are helpful and give good information for people who do container gardening. Another thing that is impressive is that the plants that they sell are very healthy and I've never had a problem of getting them home and finding bugs. I've always felt their prices are reasonable.

They were knowledgeable and had quality products. I like their services and will use the same in future.

They had a pretty good selection of plants. They seemed to have good experience in answering questions.

Not much story, here. We inquired about a small Japanese maple to replace a tre that had been destroyed by construction. We arrived at the really big lot and started looking and asking. We were shown several sizes and varieties. We settled on the one we wanted, bought some organic food and were on our way. A great espereince overall.

They weren't busy (we went very early on a Sunday) and so we got decent service. The prices are high. I think they are very high, but the quality is also good. We were able to get the plants delivered and that didn't take long. One of the trees died, and I got credit for it. I haven't redeemed the credit, yet, but I will update the review and let you know how that went. I gave an overall grade of "A", even though the prices are so high. I will use them again.

They have excellent service and excellent professionalism.

Every time I come to their store, I am happy. They do an awesome job with plants. I am always so inspired when I see their displays. Plus, their customer service is over the top great.
