Called for an over the phone estimate and after additional research called back to schedule and was able to select the date and time I preferred. The cost included all vents and returns plus the dryer vent of a single furnace home plus the checkpoint inspection of the furnace after the cleaning was completed. The Duct Crew arrives first and takes about 2-3 hours to set up, clean, and clean up after themselves. The crew we got was excellent; Nate and Ron. They explained everything as they went, answered all our questions, showed us the vents after cleaning and what was cleaned out of the ducts, and overall were extremely professional and friendly. I would recommend asking for these guys for future work. They completely the job promptly but never made us feel rushed. I wish I could say the same of the service tech that came to perform the inspection. The guy rushed in, was out of breath, barely had time to explain what he was going to perform, he even forgot to have me sign the paperwork before he began the job. When all was done he was practically running out the door to the next job while I was trying to get more information from him on other services Four Seasons performs such as a yearly plan or to even comment on how my furnace was running or its condition post inspection. I had gone down to the furnace to close up the utility room and noticed that he had left a lot of debris and had failed to replace the internal junction box cover that he had removed to inspect the wiring within my furnace. I called Four Seasons back immediately to have him return so that the cover could be properly replaced. The customer service person was prompt and polite and did have another tech come back (the original guy was "too far" from my house when I had called. - He must be driving as fast as he is working.) The second service tech arrived about an hour and half later and fixed the cover within 10 seconds. He took pictures of the error to document the problem. He was not too pleased at having to come back for such a small issue but fixed it none the less. In the future I would use Four Seasons again for the duct cleaning (Nate and Ron are the reason for the A rating.) and possibly the insulation install. I would be a little apprehensive when it comes to the service tech. The first guy that showed up was in far too much of a hurray at the risk of leaving my furnace not thoroughly checked and put back together. UPDATE since original posting: Four Seasons was extremely responsive to my posting from above and took complete responsibility for the issue I reported on. I was very impressed and pleased with how professional and genuinely concerned Four Seasons was with my experience. I felt it was important to let members know that when and if there is an issue Four Seasons does work to make the situation right.

I have a 15-year old furnace that I have had routine maintenance performed on yearly. I have experienced no problems with my furnace. Four Seasons came out to perform routine maintenance with a deal that I got off of Angie's List. I saw that the company was highly rated on Angie's List. The technician told me that I needed to replace my circuit board and pointed out to me this sound of switching on and off. I was not sure if I should have the work done, but after talking to friends I decided that I better have the problem fixed. I called Four Seasons to schedule the repair on Monday November 1, and was told the technician would call me to schedule. When I had not received a call by Friday, I called back and was again told that the technician would call me to schedule. Again, I was not called back. I called the following Wednesday and explained that this was my third time calling and that if I did not receive a call back that day to forget it because apparently Four Seasons did not want my business. Each time I called I left my work and cell phone numbers. When I got home that evening, I had a message from the technician on my home phone. That was aggravating, but I called him back and he arranged to come to my home the next morning to get information he needed off of my furnace. He arrived as scheduled and he said he could come out Saturday at 8 am to do the job, then said it would be closer to 9 am. He asked for and I paid him $285. Saturday he called and said he would be delayed about half and hour. He was here from about 9:30 until 11, then came up and told me that someone else would be coming out in an hour, without really explaining why. I was kind of aggravated because I needed to go to work in the afternoon, but I waited. I got a called from the second technician before noon informing me he would not get there until 12:30. He came and worked on the furnace, then came up and told me that the circuit board did not need to be replaced, but that he had replaced the gas valve, and that was the same price as the circuit board. He also told me that I needed to replace my pressure switch to remedy that clicking off and on problem, but he did not have that part in his van. Of course, this is the same problem that I was told was a circuit board problem. I told him I was unhappy with this whole development. So I have no idea if I really needed a gas valve replaced or if I need to spend an additional $289 to have a pressure switch replaced. I thought that I was dealing with a reputable company and that I could rely on its expertise, but when you are given conflicting information about what repairs are needed, you cannot help but have doubts. As far as I can tell, I am in the same position I was in at the start but I am out $570. I would not advise anyone to use this company because you cannot be confident that you are not being ripped off and taken advantage of.,

We woke up on Saturday morning to find we had no hot water. I called Four Seasons and talked to a Customer Service agent. The woman on the phone was not as pleasant as she should have been, but she was efficient. She explained the service charges and dispatched a technician. Mike arrived about 2 hours later. He came in and put on covers over his shoes before walking through the house. He looked at the water heater and determined the pilot light was out. There was no indication as to why the pilot light was extinguished, and he explained he could try to light it and be done with the service. Else he could replace the thermocouple, and if it that was not the problem, the gas valve would need replacing. He was very thorough in explaining all that could be done and the cost. I asked Mike to replace the thermocouple as I wanted to be sure we had hot water. The job was done quickly. The thermocouple was burned out so it was definitely the problem. He cleaned up afterward though there wasn't much of a mess. The water heater has been working normally since. Mike was proficient and professional. I appreciated the prompt response to my call and his taking the time to explain what he was doing. I plan to use Four Seasons again.

Seasonal inspection: I was told they would arrive between 100 and 600. At 1245 there was a truck parked on the street next to my house but it left. Between 500 and 600 I was called three times and told they were running late. A third call advised me that it wouldn't take long to arrive. Finally at 7:15 he did. I was told I had a cracked heat exchanger. I was prepared to accept that news given the age of my furnace but as a customer I was not impressed by the bedside manner. The news was told to me as if it was a 'gotcha' moment and there was immediate 'selling' of a new unit. I bought, in part because I purchased the same model A/C a few years ago and realized the time might be right for a new unit regardless. Installation: If I could give a score lower than 'F' perhaps I should. Arrival 900 AM. 1130PM they left; job unfinished. They told me they were not given enough sheet metal to finish. In the last hour they broke the drain valve on my water heater and initially denied it. A service guy was called who quickly acknowledged it was not the first time he had seen that happen and it would be fixed at no charge. It was an old water heater and I could accept that accidents happen working in close quarters as they were. The next day I was told by the office that the same people would return between 600 and 900PM to finish the job and they would also bring a new plug for the water heater. Instead two new people showed up. They did not have a plug for the water heater and they also said they would have to call in for more sheet metal because they still didn't have enough. They said that could take awhile. We agreed they would come back first thing in the morning to finish. After they left the office called to say that a service man would be out in the morning to look at the water heater but if it was determined that they didn't do it, I would be charged a service all. I told them to forgot the water heater. I didn't even want them to touch it at that point. The next morning the installers returned about 930 and finished the job by about 130 In sum, this job took from Wed to Friday to complete because they didn't seem to know what they were doing. I took off a second day of work which was unplanned and was without hot water for 1 1/2 days. Having gone through all of that I was dealing with a company that is apparently incapable of saying 'I'm sorry'. I will never have them install anything again. Update 12/7/10: After my very bad experience (and my report submission to Angie's List) I was provided a 5-year maintenance agreement. They also arranged to send out a quality control specialist to inspect the job. This happened just before thanksgiving. The inspector seemed conscientious and helpful. He found that the water line to the new humidifier was not functioning. He also had concerns about where the furnace pipes were located because they might be too close to natural gas outside. He said I might not get a call to follow-up on these items until after Thanksgiving. I called the next week and made an appointment for 12/7. The service man came and fixed the the water line (hopefully). He went outside and looked at the venting and it wasn't even close to the 3' clearance from the natural gas that is recommended. Familiar story: he could not complete the job. He acknowledged that the work where the vent pipes were put through the side of the house was not good. He was on the phone with the office and I could tell he was uncomfortable relaying details in front of me. He put some additional vent pipes on without sealing, and they were clearly not secure. He told me that someone would contact me to come out and finish the job by putting a plate around the pipes and sealing. This was 12/7 and the furnace installation began on 11/2. The next night (12/8) two more technicians came and finished the job, putting additional piping on the outside of my house resulting in an unexpected look that clearly impacts the appearance of the house negatively. So as upset as I was in writing my initial review on 11/7, at that time I at least thought they were done. Regrettably they weren't. In sum: The furnace installation started on Wed 11/3 and was 'completed' on Friday 11/5. During that time the installers broke a valve to my water heater and the company didn't even want to acknowledge it (although some of the many technicians that came to my home at one time or another certainly did). After initial 'completion' of installation, it was found that the water line to the humidifier was not working and the pipes to the exterior of my home were not properly placed.. Eight different technicians have been here over the past month to install the furnace and then ultimately to correct the installation. When I originally rated this firm on 11/7, I gave them an overall 'F' although I gave a 'C' for quality, thinking that at least the final product was adequate. I would now have to change that to 'F' too. I simply can't think of a worse experience with a product or service provider than I had with Four Seasons in installing this furnace.

Despite the problems in removing a 45+ year old furnace, these folks went far above and beyond the call of duty. In order to complete the job, and prevent us from having to go a 2nd night without heat, the installers ended up being here for TWELVE HOURS. Don't know what more they could have done for us unless they did the job for free.

I waited three weeks for my 30 Oct 10, appointment, which was scheduled between 8:00 am and 1:00 p.m.. On the date of service they called me at 10:55 AM to let me know they were cancelling my appointment. They said they had received a high number of emergency calls and they had to respond to those calls first. I asked them how they could call me almost three hours into my 5 hours appointment window to say they were cancelling. I told them if they had call twenty or thirty minutes into the appointment time to says they were overrun with emergencies I might have been able to believe them, but I could not believe they realized they were overrun almost three hours into my 5 hours appointment window. I told them they wasted hours of my day which I could well used in a better fashion. I was told there was nothing that they could do, but reschedule me for the 20th of November. I waited for three weeks to get the first appointment and now they wanted me to wait another thre weeks. They cancelled on me and they offered nothing to accommodate me for the considerable inconvenience. I felt they should have made some attempt to rectify the problem. I contacted Angie's List as soon as I got off of the phone with Four Seasons Heating and told them how upset I was. I requested a refund for the Big Deal purchase. I was told the refund request was being submitted and I should receive the refund in about 5 business day. on 1 Nov 10, I received a call from Larry at Four Seasons. He was very apologetic about how our appointment was cancelled. He indicated that their rule is not to cancel Angie's List Big Deal appointments. He stated he was not sure why our appointment was cancelled and stated he was not pleased that it was cancelled so far into out appointment block. Larry offered to complete the work for us free of charge if we would let them. We agreed and set up a new appointment for 2 Nov 10, between 8:00 am and 10:00 am. He said he'd schedule us to be the assigned technicians first job. He apologized for the inconvenience once again before ending the call. The technician called before 8:00 am to say they would arrive within the next twenty minutes. They arrived as stated. They explained what they were going to do. They worked on the system and they pointed out a couple of things that we needed to look into at a later date. They offered maintenance tips. They did a thorough job. They went over everything they did during the visit and they supplied a receipt which documented what they did. They were friendly and professional. They used shoe covers to ensure they did not track dirt through our home. I do hope the original blunde was not the norm for Four Seasons. Given that Larry followed up with us before 9:00 am on the first business day following the unfortunate cancellation and he freely addressed the issue with a believable apology and an offer to do the work for free I feel Four Seasons deserves another try. We will keep them in mind the next time we require any type of service offered by their company.

I called the customer service rep as I was concerned about the slight crack in the collector box to find out if they could order the part and the cost. Was told the part could be ordered and cost of repair would be an additional $300 to repair. They were back in a couple of days, however the part was shipped to the house and I discovered that the part was not nearly as costly as they originally thought. I called back and spoke to the customer rep and he was very apologetic and gave me an additional discount.
Description of Work: Four Seasons came to perform a furnace inspection and cleaning for $59.00 . The repairman found a slight crack in the collector box cover and stated it didn't need to be repaired at this time. Had him come back to do the repair of the collector box cover anyway.

It went just great. My techs arrived about 15 minutes early, explained in detail how and what they were going to do, and then they went about it in a very professional and careful manner. I seriously thought that I would have to paint around the air duct covers afterwards because they were painted on the walls in some rooms, but these guys used razor blades and cut through the paint and did no damage at all. They were very careful and respectful of the furniture which had to be moved, and then when they were finished moved everything back to where it belonged.
Description of Work: My cold air return ducts were all cleaned as well as the hot air supply ducts. The proceedure was interesting to watch. The amount of dust and debris they removed from my ducts was embarassing. I consoled myself by using the fact that they had never been cleaned before. This proceedure is that they drill some holes in the cold air ducts in the basement and then insert a wand driven by compressed air which turns the brush like appendages attached to the wand and this stirs up all the dust and debris which is then suctioned out. This company used all newer equipment, and did no damage and created no messes.

we purchased an older home five years ago. we knew the previous owners smoked in the house and that they also had many pets over the years. it seemed no matter how much we cleaned, the house seemed to still smell like it did when we bought it. we did some research and found that cleaning the air ducts might help. not knowing if they had ever been cleaned before, we thought we should give it a try. we called four seasons after seeing their method of air duct cleaning on a local morning tv show. their team of workers got busy right away. they were very friendly and extremely careful with the things in my house. i appreciated how they put corner protectors up around every corner, they wore booties, and even cleaned every vent. we were shocked to see how their system worked and even more shocked to see how much junk came out of our system. we found old doggie chew toys, and lots and lots of old dust. the whole process took several hours, but was well worth it. since having our ducts cleaned, we've noticed less of that old smell and it also seems like the house is less dusty. we are so happy we did it.

We called Four Seasons Htg&AC to schedule the work date with no hassles. The technician called ahead of time on the day the work was scheduled to alert us of his intended arrival time. The technician was quite proficient, taking the heating and blowing portions of the furnace completely apart, scraping, cleaning and vacuuming every inch of the furnace. With the furnace taken apart, the technician performed a soapy-water test of the heat exchanger searching for dangerous cracks. Thankfully, none was found. The technician suggested that we consider a new furnace because of the age of our existing furnace (25+ years) and the increased effeciencies that would result. The technician was clean and polite, offered his suggestions but was not pushy.

The Four Seasons representative was professional. He called within the window they told me and told me he would be there in about 30 min. He was. He cleaned and inspected both of my furnaces. He told me they were both in good shape, they were very dirty, but he cleaned them. Once of the furnaces needed a new part. we had the option of waiting until is failed or getting it replaced now. I felt he was honest in telling us, if he had to come back when it did break, we would have to pay a service call fee. He wasn't pushing us into anything, but explained that it would most likely not make it through the season..so we decide to replace it, and he had the part, so he did it then. Not complaints, I would recommend them.
Description of Work: they did an inspection on my furnace(preventative) and replaced a part that needed replacing.

Four Seasons did a great job. Our 7 year old a/c broke the week before - 90 degree heat, on a Sunday morning. We called another company out - their fix turned out to be temporary. The a/c was down again a week later. We called them back out for a return visit, but all they wanted to do was sell us a new unit...cost: $6,000. We needed to think about it. We felt like we probably did need a new unit but something didn't sit right with us and the repairman...we had some doubts. We joined Angie's List that afternoon and found Four Seasons with an excellent rating and excellent reviews. We called Four Seasons that same Sunday and they were out within 2 hours - wrote up an invoice for a new unit - $3800...savings: $1200! The installation took place two days later. They arrived on time, were efficient and cleaned up when the work was done. Since the work was done, I've called their office a few times with questions about the unit - each time I've found them to be courteous and knowledgeable and responsive. We'll definitely use this company again.
Description of Work: We purchased the installation of a new a/c system.
