Description of Work: This is a on-line service that says it will help you sell your home as in "for sale by owner" and thus save the 6-7% realtor's commission. What they do not do is help you understand that the service is not cancelable after 24 hours. That is, even if no service has been provided you will not get a refund. More frustrating is that you find out later that you DID sign on with a realtor, and can expect to pay 2-3% commission to a real estate agent. When this is openly disclosed is after you have signed on and been contacted by a local realtor directed to you by fsbo.com. We signed on in our ignorant enthusiasm not knowing that there was no way out even if no services are ever provided. We attempted to cancel the service and were informed that we could only get out with a refund if we signed on with a realtor provided by them. The refund to be provided when the agent sold the property ( at standard commission) and we send the proper paperwork to fsbo! I called the fsbo office and spoke with "Jeff". who not only filled me in on my bad decision but when asked to be connected to his supervisor informed me he would not, that I could not take this no higher, I would deal with him only. He told me I should have read the "Terms and Conditions" of the deal section 6 and subsection A and E. I could find no such information on the web site and asked if it had been provided to me. No, he said, it is 28 pages long! He would send it via email now if I wish. So, services provided, no house listed for sale, no $699.00, no manners or customer care from ForSaleByOwner.com I did find the terms and conditions on the site. The link in much smaller font and buried in the middle of a column listing unrelated information.
