Footprints Floors of Chicago

Kyle Battles from Footprints Floors of Chicago gave me an estimate for my less than 700 square feet condo in Lakeview to install laminate flooring to 540 square feet of space. Below is his email with price. I emailed him back asking for the breakdown in price, how many days will the project take, how many guys will work on the project, etc. It has been a full week and he has not responded to my email. The $4,950.00 estimate to remove carpet, old wood flooring and install laminate wood flooring in 540 square foot of space is beyond RIDICULOUS. Do not waste your time with this flooring company. I have had 3 other flooring companies price me at $2,000. See Kyle's email estimate below: Here are some pricing options based on what we discussed: We can remove all of the carpet in your place, remove all of the parquet hardwood floors and the tile in the kitchen. We'd then prep the floor for the laminate install. We'd install the laminate and provide new shoe molding where needed. We would also have to move all of the furniture in your unit around. This adds quite a bit of time and effort, since the place is not huge. We can do this project for $4,950. Please let me know what you think or if you have any questions.
