Awesome service to the WHOLE project. Got a referral to an Architect and someone that could do a remodel before the flooring went in was very helpful. Project was remove a wall, ducting, and electrical in the wall. Remove top layer of plywood in kitchen to thread into the existing hardwood on both the living room side and back-room side. Other repairs to the existing, add in base boards & quarter round, and finally in floor vents all came out real nice too.

These guys were absolutely brilliant. Within moments of arriving, the wall-to-wall carpet in our basement was removed, and the concrete beneath it had been patched and prepared. They started laying tile the first day, and had completed the entire job by the end of the second day. The crew was incredible. Really nice guys who are very good at what they do. Impressive craftsmanship is in evidence from the precision-cut tiles to the new baseboards they installed. They came in under their cost estimate, and well under the estimated completion time. No BS from anyone at the company. A fantastic experience. I recommend them as highly as I can.

The representative was great. W6e weren’t happy with the installation or quality of the carpet. Their service was good, but, the drawback was the quality. I will not use their services again.

A person from the company was here on Saturday with some samples. I called him since I had a question in mind and he said that he would bring some more samples on Tuesday, but he hasn’t showed up yet. He hasn’t even called me up and I am waiting for him to come out. I am on a time schedule, as I have some painters coming in the next week and I also have to place an order for the carpeting. My overall experience with him was very good, but his punctuality wasn’t very good.

Billy was very responsive and came out to show us flooring options. They were able to schedule quickly after the flooring arrived, however the distributor delivered the flooring to FCI later that approximated. When there were issues with the subfloor in our kitchen, the installers worked to get the floor as level as possible, which was greatly appreciated since they did not install the subfloor. There were issues with the finish not drying fully before they applied the second coat, which caused bubbling in the finish. Billy came out immediately to see the floors and they fixed them as soon as they dried. The gentleman who repaired the flooring in our living room was a bit careless initially, but reinstalled the replacement flooring when we pointed out the errors. The kitchen looks beautiful, and the same with the living room other than two small spots where varnish puddled. Overall they did a great job, Billy tackled all my concerns in a timely manner and without hesitation.

This project was a challenge from start to finish. First, I live 1000 miles away from where my rental unit is located. The existing parquet floor of the unit is on the 21st floor of a downtown Chicago high rise building and had completely buckled. It took months to determine the cause of the damage, during which time Billy of FCI acted as my eyes and ears for the job. Second, the insurance company had to hire a forensic investigator who took months to determine the cause of the damage, which was water from plumbing replacement. Third, the building imposed numerous conditions on doing work in the building and was not cooperative in allowing us to replace the floor and finally, the tenant insisted on being present for the removal and installation of the floor on their schedule once it was approved for replacement. Throughout this ordeal, Billy was patient, professional and courteous. He arranged for me to view wood samples and purchase the wood in Colorado, where there is a sister company. He intervened with the building for me when the management insisted that the floor be laid in a manner which was not appropriate for bamboo. He dealt with the insurance adjuster who grilled him on his theories of how the damage was caused. He arranged his schedule to suit the tenant and made sure the process went smoothly and quickly. He kept me informed on the progress throughout. His prices were fair and he stuck to them even though the project took much longer than he could have imagined and he had to deal with numerous people who kept throwing problems at him in the process. In short, I unequivocally recommend Billy and his company, Floor Coverings International. He is the personification of "above and beyond the call of duty." It appears that when it comes to flooring, there is nothing that Billy can't do.

Plumbing leak went undetected for many weeks resulting in water seeping under much of the home's flooring. Tile and carpet needed to be removed and the underlying concrete cleaned and dried before new flooring could be installed. Billy was extremely responsive over both email and telephone during the entire project, even when complications arose from factors beyond his control and responsibility, such as late insurance quotes or delays on my part. He was flexible and understanding, and even offered to work with my insurance agent to make sure all necessary repairs and materials would be covered in the insurance quote. Highly recommended.

With only a slight hiccup, things went great. Billy came to my house twice with samples at times that suited my schedule. He had more than just the little booklet of samples. He had actual floor samples that made it a lot easier to choose the style I wanted. He worked with my budget and the new flooring flooring looks phenomenal. The only hiccup was they needed to come back another day due to running out of glue, but chances are that was due to the condition of my basement. Overall, I am very happy, and plan to recommend them to many others.

I can't say enough good things about Billy and his crew. They respected my home by cleaning up after themselves everyday, minimizing the noise they caused so not to anger my neighbors and they kept the common areas clean and neat. My project was completed on time and on budget and I definitely feel as if Billy exceeded my expectations. There was one day where I had to change the hours that the workers could be in my condo and they found a way to amend their schedule to accomodate my change while still finishing the job on time. All-in-all I would recommend Floor Coverings International to any of my friends because they are one contractor that actually does what they say they are going to do, they don't trash your home while doing it and they are tremendously professional.
