+ -1 moreI had previously used Fixer to rebuild the appliance garage and under sink cabinet in my kitchen. Last Wednesday, I called them to unclog my bathroom sink and in doing so, the "plumber" broke my sink, rendering it unusable. They did send me a text acknowledging that the plumber admitted breaking it, and they quickly sent me a bill for the service call, so far, they have ghosted me about what they plan to do to replace my sink. Apparently, they will only communicate via text.
Description of Work: I told them my bathroom sink was clogged and they had to remove the elbow. I explained to the "plumber" that there was broken glass in the drain and not just a regular clog. When he could not remove the drain stopper, he pulled on the stopper, pushed on the sink, and broke the basin, while disconnecting the sink from the wall.

We had a light, three switches, and an outlet replaced and, like any old home, nothing was simple. They were able to make the necessary adjustments so everything fit and works. I recommend them.

When the fixer arrived, he was knowledgeable and just plain good. He was also able to tell me about what was going on behind my wall, and where I went wrong trying to DIY.

+ 2 moreBrian and Ben arrived 40 minutes late, because their company gave them the wrong address. Someone called me in the meantime to tell me they would be late. They came with two boards to make the replacement steps, but I did not like the quality of the wood. They didn't argue, but went immediately to Home Depot and came back with two pieces of better quality wood, the best they could find there. They removed the rotten steps, sawed the wood to the correct size, sawed and installed four supporting brackets, and installed the two new steps. They were very respectful and followed instructions exactly. They did an excellent, careful job.

Hanging these art frames would have taken at least two weekends for us to do ourselves and he got it done in an hour and 45 minutes. All I had to do was explain what I wanted, how I wanted it done, and it was good to go - I'm pregnant and can't really stand on ladders, and hate paying for things I feel like I could do myself. But now I know I can and should pay for some things because they go SO much easier and better than anything I could've tried! My Fixer was so great, and since I work from home I was worried he might be really chatty but he just put on headphones and got to work while I worked too. Being a new homeowner, I know we'll use Fixer again and I know it'll be great.
Description of Work: I used Fixer to install some pretty complicated bay window curtain rods (measuring is just not my strong suit) and shortening the cord and installing a hard-wired pendant fixture in my downstairs hallway.
