First Siding & Windows

None of the contractors that were listed in Yelp wanted to do the small job or even come to give an estimate....until I called Jerry, from First siding....after the call, he said he could stop by in a couple of hours....He called after 3:30 to say he would be at my home around 4 if it was ok...he arrived, saw the damage and asked if I wanted to replace the whole section or to try and repair..he then said he would repair first and if I did not like it, replace the whole section...the job was great and Jerry was friendly and well qualified..He had given me a quote on my initial call to come out and stuck to it!

It was great - Jerry was incredibly responsive and thorough. His specialty is not even carpentry, but when I asked him if he could help me find someone to replace the gate, he not only found someone, he coordinated their estimate and work.

He is prompt. You call him; he comes out and does stuffs. He is pretty reasonable, and he has reliable workers.

After some very stormy, windy fall weather, several siding trim pieces ended up falling off our house. I found a siding company on Angie's List that I wanted to use, but because it was the end of the season and they were swamped with bigger jobs, they referred me to Jerry who seemed to be able to handle these smaller, specialized jobs in a much quicker timeframe than they were able to promise me (which I appreciated). i called Jerry and left a message - he called me back within a few hours and stopped by later that same day to look at the job and provide an estimate. Even for this small job, he provided a thoughtful review - including evaluating the reusability of the siding trim that had come loose, and determining the best way to reattach the siding trim. Since it was at the peak of our 3-story home, he determined that he would need to access from our roof and would need to come back a different day to do the job. He provided a price that we agreed upon. He said he would call me back to confirm the day and time. Jerry called back to confirm the day and approximate time frame that he would be at the house. He arrived approximately 30 minutes after he said he would. He and his helper spent a couple hours not only reattaching the pieces that came off the house, but resecured all other siding trim pieces on that side of the house to ensure we wouldn't have similar problems in the future. Overall, I was very pleased with working with Jerry and would recommend him for other siding jobs.

During a recent windy day, some of the fascia on our roof deck building came loose and was blown off of the wall. I called Jerry on a Monday and he made arrangements to come over Tuesday morning to take a look. It was a small job but he was responsive and on time. He was upfront on the fact that he did not stock the materials needed and quoted a cost for materials of about $70. The fact that he didn't have our siding in stock wasn't a surprise and I was glad to hear him be up front on the cost. He then told me that the total labor was $120, which I thought was fair. He was able to do the work that morning. Even though the job only took about 20 minutes, the total job took him most of the morning to drive over, provide an estimate, go to the building supply store, return, bend/cut the fascia and reinstall. He also secured the rest of the fascia that was a little loose. He caulked the seams and asked if I was happy with the work. I gave him $200 total and was happy he was able to turn it around the same day. I found him pleasant, honest, and prompt. I'd use him again.

When we bought our home, there was a roof leak that we were told was repaired prior to occupancy. We did not notice any issues for a while, but as the snow started melting we realized that the roof was not fixed. We called the original repair company and they came out twice and still were not able to fix the leaks. That is when we called Jerry. He came over and immediately diagnosed the problem which was different than the previous company had identified and was able to repaired the problem. We have not had a leak since.

Weather did not work with us but as soon as conditions permitted he was out to make repairs. Since this is old aluminum siding it was important to preserve what we had. All went well and has a full guarantee.

Great, very dependable and did a better quality job than previous roofers.
