He was punctual and quickly determined a course of action. Then he left to his office to obtain a replacement ejector pump. He explained that I had the option of cleaning and replacing the existing pump but didnt recommend it since the existing pump was already 10 years old which is equivalent to its estimated useful life. So he proceeded to replace the old pump which took about 2 hours. I cant comment on price because I didnt shop around, but the price seemed reasonable.

After getting 23 inches of sewer water in our basement in July 2011, we chose Fettes, Love and Sieben, Inc to install an overhead sewer system in our home. They also added plumbing for a half bath in the basement. The work was done as anticipated in just a week. They later came out and rodded the sewer line.We appreciated the friendly way the plumbers related to us, explained what they were doing each day, and cleaned up the "mess' plumbers make at the end of each day. The basement bathroom plumbing ejector pump failed causing sewer water to fill the drain and enter the basement. I called the next morning and while the plumber could not come immediately, a plumber could come in the afternoon. Because I could not be at home in the afternoon, we set up an appointment for the following morning between 7:00 and 8:00 am. The plumber arrived at the appointed time and because it was so early in the morning, he called to check with me to make certain that it was all right for him to come to the front door. I was ready but appreciated his phone call to check. When we went to the basement, we discovered that the pump, which had earlier failed, somehow began working again. Chuck, the plumber, removed the ejector pump basin cover and checked inside. Because the pump was now working, he gave me a choice of leaving it alone or replacing it. I chose to replace it and since he was at my home, I decided to replace the sump pump as well. Chuck showed me the price list for various ejector and sump pumps and allowed me to choose the ones that I preferred. I appreciated that this company stocked pumps with more than one price. He also suggested that because I was replacing both pumps, I should also replace both of the check valves. The price of these valves is minor but without his advice, I would not have known that these were parts that could also fail. Chuck left to pick up the two pumps that I chose. He returned and brought all the materials in through the basement back door. After he removed the pumps from the basins, he used plastic bags to remove them from the house, preventing the dripping of dirty water through the finished basement. He installed the new pumps and the new check valves. He tested the new pumps, removed his tools and drop cloths and the job was completed.

We had a minor "mystery leak" coming from the toilet. Just a small amount of water that would appear around the base from time to time. Generally, we'd clean it up with paper towels or a rag. However, the problem was getting worse, gradually and then suddenly, this morning, I walked into the bathroom to find water all over the floor and the rug soaking wet. My husband thought it was probably the wax ring under the toilet that needed replacement. He called Fettes, Love & Sieben around 8:00 am, then went to work, thinking that when they returned his call, he could set up an appt. for later in the week. But FLS was willing to send a plumber out today (yeah!) So, my husband left work early, and by 12:00 or so, the plumber arrived at our house. As always, he put protective booties on over his boots so as not to create a mess. I have noticed that all FLS plumbers do this. A very thoughtful thing to do! Within an hour the wax ring was replaced...and no more leaky toilet. For such prompt, courteous service, I think they were very reasonable.

Excellent overall as expected. They did a great job, and got the work done quickly. I offered a tip and they wouldn't take it. Totally honest. Totally trustworthy. I love it. Finally, someone who get's the job done right. If they are expensive, it's worth it. I don't like doing things twice.

Heavenly from start to finish even found things we did not know were problems. Just a magnificient service call!!

The plumber sent by Fettes, Love & Sieben was very professional and did a great job. He also did a very detailed job of assessing the other worked needed to be completed in our house and also provided me with the information I need to purchase the bothroom fittings required to complet the project. Also, the people in the main office were very helpful when scheduling the plumber to come out to our placee. Fettes, Love & Sieben came recommended to me from a friend and I would definately recommend then to anyone else.

We had a really great experience and would definitely recommend the company to anyone! We had a flood in our basement and our water heater was submerged and stopped working. We are new-ish homeowners and have never dealt with plumbers before but had heard horror stories. Fettes Love & Sieben was everything we hoped for: Scheduling the appointment was easy and everyone I spoke to at the company was friendly and happy to answer all my questions. The plumber they sent to our house was prompt, honest, efficient, clean and very kind. He was happy to explain things in detail and make sure we understood plumbing related questions related to the job.

This is the second time I've use Fettes et al. I am very very happy with them. Each time they did quality work, were responsive, and punctual. This time I gave a B for price as it was a fair price, but I leave "A" for the times I am delighted. The first time I used them (I don't think I wrote up a report), I'd have given an A+ for price. The plumber they sent showed me some alternatives to get the job (it was cutting through bathroom tile to replace a faulty shut off valve under a built in bathtub) done much less expensively that I had planned to do it. He saved me considerable money with his advice. All in all, these guys are good and you should have no hesitation in hiring them out. They have become my regular plumbers.

He did a fantastic job. I wanted him to go into the vent system and put in a shunt so that in the summer the air would go up and in the winter the air would circulate downstairs. He was very knowledgeable about this subject and was able to create the shunt for me. He installed it in the downstairs vent and showed me how to install it on my own for our upstairs vent. He was able to answer all of my questions. I am very pleased with the service that he provided me.

He was very polite and punctual. There were no hidden fees and I paid less than what I was quoted for. I highly recommend working with these guys.

I have been having water problems in my basement so to be fair, I am rather short on patience. They were responsive and came when they said they would. However, this is the third contractor to my house in two weeks who has come without all of his own tools or equipment. This leak was in the ceiling and the plumber did not have a ladder. While fixing my leak, he broke another pipe. That was fixed at no "cost" to me, but I am pretty sure it was included in the time he spent on the job so in actuality I did pay for his error. My husband told him not to pick up the drywall that was torn out to get to the pipe as he did not want to pay to have someone clean and the basement is rather a disaster anyway from water damage. However, my ladder was used to fix this issue. It is a ladder I use throughout the house, not a ladder that sits in the garage. When I came home the ladder was covered in drywall dust and other filth. It's one thing if you can't bother to bring your own tools to do the job you are hired to do. I do not have much in the way of patience for paying a contractor to use my ladder which he then leaves completely filthy. Very unprofessional and lacking in common courtesy.

Recently, our condo building experienced sewer backup flooding from heavy rains. Having used FLS in the past, (and posted good reviews of my experience with them on Angie's List), I decided to call them first to look at the property and make a proposal to stop this from happening again. I emailed and spoke with Mary in the office who was very helpful and pleasant. She forwarded my request on to Tim. A few days went by, and I called Tim, he never called me. I explained the situation, and he said he would be able to come by the building in the next week and take a look around. I never heard from them again.

prompt, polite, fast. only complaint is they went in to assess the job and never followed up with me as to what would be done. A little annoying.

Once I realized I was over my head in old plumbing and things seemed to go wrong in every step of my DIY "simple" repair(clean out trap), pipes kept leaking once I tightened everything back up, then the faucet handle broke off in my hand, then the shut off valve wouldn't shut the water off.....get the pic? I run to pc, check Angie's List, call plumber, plumber comes out next morning-on time-, he slips his over the shoes booties on and heads off for the bathrm, close to an 11/2 hr later he shows me a section of pipe which had a hair crack in it-reason why it kept dripping for me- shows me the work he did, and then fills out paper wk. The End-The Happy, Satisfied End of my DIY "simple" project(can of worms). My plumber, Frank, was kind, friendly, & professional. I think I found our new plumber(s)!

The result was excellent. The plumber came on time after his office responded within 24 hours to my call. He tested the old pump, ensured that it wasn't working and replaced it with one from his truck. He then explained the difference between the old and new and tested the new to show that it worked. He helped me move a table which is over the pump and then move it back.

He came and did the job to our satisfaction. They were a little more expensive, but other than that, there are definitely no complaints from us.

I called them because of concern about the habitually slow utility sink, even though I thought I was keeping on top of the lint issue. My call was handled promptly and they dispatched a plumber who happened to be finishing another job nearby. Literally, the wash cycle was still happening when he arrived! Happily, the problem was minor and handled quickly - but he was then able to take a look at other drains and answer specific plumbing questions that have been on my mind for a while - giving me information and suggestions that were very helpful. Art was a very respectful, efficient and knowledgeable professional.

Called on a Sunday, and they had a plumber out Monday Morning at 8:30 AM. Great service. Took him only 1 hour to take out the old unit and install the new one. Very professional and cleaned up after.
