Shower was not maintaining hot water. Called them, described situation. They obtained necessary part and installed promptly I've used Fettes Love & Sieben many times. They respond promptly, are experts at diagnosing and repair, are prompt and neat. Prices are fair as well. Truly outstanding service. Very highly recommended

The estimate was more than double the price of another company. They were on time for the appointment, and the description was fine. The price killed the deal. I got more work done for half the price with another company.

Overall it was an excellent experience. I'm not sure if FLS is more expensive than other plumbers (my recollection is that they are in the ballpark of other competent plumbers), but I'm almost always happy to pay a fair price for quality service, which is what happened in this case.

They were punctual, tidy, and followed up with obvious concern for their customers. I am happy with the work and the professionalism involved. I did not fill in the slot regarding how much they charged because I do not know what other plumbers in the area would charge for similar work. But since I was happy with the results, and since the price seemed reasonable based on other types of repairs I've had done (heating, air conditioner), I am unlikely to experiment with other plumbing crews.

The original plumbing in our house is jerry-rigged and very old. This forced some inventiveness on the part of the plumber. He carefully explained the potential risks at each stage of the installation and did his best to mitigate them. In the end, we had to do more than we expected, but less than we might have ? and are a great deal more informed.

From first call, when I left a message, to arrival of the workman was quick and simple. My call was returned within a day and the workman came, replacement pump in hand, within a week.

The firm was able to schedule a visit promptly. The plumber was punctual and efficient. Unfortunately the part needed wasn't on his truck, but since it was a standard part he should have had on his truck, he didn't charge us for the time to get the part. He also fixed a couple of other issues with the drain at the same time without charging us. There have not been any problems with the repair. Before leaving he looked at a couple of other plumbing projects and gave me a sense of the work that would be involved.

The appointment was very easy to setup and the work was completed on time with high quality. Great experience, with a specific estimate over the phone.

They are really good, they did a wonderful job and they do excellent services. I will be calling them and using them again because they will be handling my furnace and boiler.

Great from start to finish. I was scheduled very promptly after my first call, and when it was determined that they needed a second guy to remove the radiator, the company got one over amazingly quickly. The workmen showed up exactly on time, the work was done in a professional, detailed-oriented way. Everything was clearly explained, and the rates were very fair. The return visit was scheduled even more quickly. It was a fantastic experience.

They have done all kinds of things for us from drain cleaning to installing new faucets. We live in an old Victorian home that had 100 year old pipes that they replaced with PVC pipes. It was a huge project. When they quoted the price, they didn't realize how large the job was going to be. They stuck to their quote and didn't charge anything additional. We are very happy with their services. I highly recommend their services.

They sent out the same guys everytime. It was done prefectly. I have not had any problems. There have been no leaks. He did a gret job. They are always pleasant and quick with their work.

The experience was great from start to finish. The receptionist at Fettes was able to schedule an appointment at the time that I requested (first thing in the morning). The plumber arrived right on time and was very professional.

I called them for an estimate for the installation of a sillcock. I was initially referred to "Mark" who said he'd pass on my information to "Hugh" who'd be calling me back. I was pretty anxious to have an outdoor water source to start gardening, but I waited a few days before calling back. I spoke to Hugh who apologized for not getting back to me, because he had misplaced my information. He said that he would "swing by on Monday" when he'd be in the area. He never showed up and never called us back. We lost valuable time waiting for him to show up that day as well as just waiting for them to respond to our phone calls and requests for an estimate. How they be rated so high on Angie's List as well as in Chicago Magazine when they aren't professional on just the most basic tenets of providing good service is inexplicable.

Overall a very good experience. They were very responsive and punctual when setting up and arriving at our designated appointment time (a little early in fact) to inspect our water heater then had a small leak. He recommended a new water heater do to the leak and several areas of rust on the top and side of the heater. They provided a quote the same day. We accepted the quote and scheduled a time to replace the heater. The replacement process was very quick and clean, and we are very happy with the results. We would use Fettes Love & Sieben again

I had a plumber over within 24 hours of my call to assess the issue. Plumber returned to do the work 48 hours later.The work was completed in a timely manner.

After discovering the leak, we called first thing in the morning and they were at our house about an hour later slightly earlier than promised. Chuck promptly went to work to remove the pressurizer tank and since he was here I asked him to take a look at an refrigerator supply line that I was not confident in staying leak free. He quickly replaced the cheap stop valve that was installed to the copper line to join a flexible supply line to the refrigerator.

From convenient scheduling, to early arrival for appointment (calling first) to professionally performed workmanship, I highly recommend FL&S. I've used them twice and will call them again if needed. I ever got a thank you card following their first job. I give them an A+!

My husband and I could not be happier with the courteous, expert and well-priced service we received from John Moses and his staff at Fettes, Love & Sieben in Chicago. We wanted to replace the two toilets in our high-rise condo with better quality models that had a good flushing mechanism. We liked several Kohler styles we saw online, but we sure which would be best for what we wanted and for our bathroom spaces. John Moses' advice was excellent, and he got a price on the models we picked that was lower than we expected. He also handled all the advance work: sending a plumber to measure our bathrooms, getting the OK from our building management, and picking up the toilets from the supplier. The plumber, Bob, arrived punctually, worked efficiently and expertly and cleaned the work area when he was finished (wearing booties all the while!). We thought the $608 price for the labor was fair. The entire experience was first-rate, including the gracious thank-you note we received from John Moses and Fettes, Love & Sieben. Excellent work in a tough to reach area. Frank C at Fettes Love Sieben corrected the issue, leaving us better off than we were before (with a shutoff valve we previously did not have and a screw in connection from outside - rather than soldered) so the repair would be easier if the problem happens again.

Needed a leak fixed in some water pipes in the ceiling of the basement fixed, was a badly soldered joint but there was an unnecessary saddle valve a few inches away off of that pipe (apparently the rubber stopper breaks down over time and is another leak waiting to happen), since this one was there for no reason, he decided to cut out the currently leaky section of pipe plus the off shoot with the saddle valve to head off a problem we didn't even have yet. Unfortunately our pipes are all non-standard sized and he had to run around to a few stores to find the right replacement piping, but he did volunteer to not count half of that time in charging us though. The second issue is our boiler system, its from germany and a style not seen very often around here, so he had to take the papers we had on it and learn about the system, he won extra points with me when he decided to not not count the first hour of his time spent reading about our boiler. So once he was ready to get started he didn't want to cut off all the water to the house and drain everything to cut out that piping, so he cut off the water at a certain point and we bled the radiators throughout the house. He timed it so that as the water was bleeding, he was out getting the replacement piping. The job took a long time but was finished in one day, technically he should have charged overtime, but since he didn't think it was very fair given the things I've already mentioned, he altered time spent enough to not have overtime kick in. He also did a quick fix on one of our toilets so that it would flush better for free at the end. Another mishap that I don't blame him for, is that a day later we still had absolutely no hot water, seemed odd to me so I called him back on his cell. He said that it was not right at all, and came over right away with a friend (he was worried that some crazy thing was going on with this boiler that he just didn't know enough about it fix) but it turned out that there was just some valves he should have turned but forgot about since they were in a really unusual place. He didn't charge anything to come by immediately and fix that at 6pm. If it had been a normal system I night have been more annoyed, but between the insanely warm weather (didn't miss the heat) and the system being so unfamiliar, I was fine with how quickly he came out to fix the mistake. Added bonuses, he was on time, very friendly, and very willing to make this job as fair to us as possible. Would use this company again if we ever need a plumber for anything in the future.

The arm of the faucet swings back and forth very freely. I had them come back to tighten it but it didn't work. The plumber said he was going to call Glacier Bay and see what the issue was. I called John Moses (manager) and we talked. He said he would call me back the next day. I did not hear from him, so I called him again. Still no response. I would not use this plumber because they do not call you back when there are issues. I spent $300 to have a faucet installed that we hate. I good business would at least call their customers back.

Plumber was very friendly, did a great job, and I would definitely recommend him in the future.

Our aging kitchen faucet had corroded and was leaking into the cabinet below. Art arrived on time, diagnosed the problem, and then recommended that I purchase a replacement faucet as removing this faucet intact was going to require disconnecting all the plumbing from the sink, pulling the sink, and attempting to salvage the faucet. He said I could buy a much better faucet for what all that work was going to cost. and he could just cut the old Moen faucet out in a matter of minutes without having to pull the sink. I went to Community Home Supply, bought a very nice Grohe kitchen faucet they had in stock, and then called Art to let him know I was back home. He returned in about 90 minutes. Forty-five minutes later, the new faucet was installed and worked perfectly. Art cleaned up after himself and was very friendly. I was able to use the Angie's list coupon for 10% off the labor costs so I saved $23. Unfortunately, three nights later, we found more water on the floor of the cabinet. I called Fettes and luckily Mark was able to schedule Jay to come within four hours of my phone call. Mark quickly found the problem, replaced the leaky connection, cleaned up and did not charge me for this visit. So, despite this little glitch, Fettes made good on their 30 day guarantee and got the job done.

Their names are already through to my neighborhood. I call them every year, sometimes twice a year. I have been using them for probably six or seven years now. I would use their services again in the future.
