I called the next day (July 10th) and the secretary sent the estimate. We were floored. $26,500. The estimate DIDN'T include the necessary permits for the job either. We feel that Mark was upset about the back and forth and me speaking to his boss and this was reflected in the estimate that he gave. Mark basically gave a quote that was exorbitantly higher (by $10,000) than any quote we have received thus far. If Mark was not interested in having FLS do the work at our home (which is understandable because of the age of the home) then the company should have been up front about it instead of the back and forth. Extremely unprofessional and we will definitely NOT be recommending this company to others.

WHEN HE CAME OUT TO DO THE REPLACEMENT PARTS HE FIXED THE PROBLEM AND WAS VERY NEAT. I WOULD DEFINITELY CALL THEM AGAIN FOR ANY PLUMBING PROBLEM.

I made the appointment and he called me before 8 am, to tell me he would be arriving on time. He was there promptly, got to work, and left everything clean and working well.

We had a small leak beginning in our bathroom. The plumber was on time and fixed the seal on our toilet WITHOUT charging! We would definitely hire this company for another job.

The service man came on time and worked well the entire time. He was able to diagnose the problem immediately and set about to repair it. The job was neatly done in a fair amount of time. He was very professional about everything he did. When we received the bill, we were pleased to see that it was less than another plumber tried to charge us for only an estimate, with no work. It seemed very fair for the work that was done. We're new in the city - it is great to know that we now have plumber to call when we need one. They also came out the next day. Several others suggested that it could be a week or more before they would be able to help us. Angie's list pulls through again!!! Very pleased!

Fixed everything in a little over an hour. Price was excellent. They were very helpful, very nice. We couldn't check the outside faucet as it was winter, called them back in the spring to check again as it was leaking a little. They were extremely polite, non-combative, came out and fixed it at no extra charge. He had everything with him, very well equipped. They gave me a Angie's List discount.

These guys clearly know their stuff and operate a professional company. Steam heat is tricky and Fettes managed to perform miracles moving and incorporating new supply and return lines into our existing whole-house system. The pipe-fitting work was flawless and the plumbing for the hot water heaters and radiant floor heat put the work done by another plumber to absolute shame. The work required extensive coordination with other trades and presented no problems for Fettes. There was never a time when we were forced to wait for their workers to return. I have no doubt that Fettes underbid this job (Mark admitted as much). That being said, as the project progressed, there was no corner cutting or hostility. Fettes may not be the cheapest company out there, but if you want someone who knows what they're doing and performs their work professionally, you seemingly can't go wrong here.

Don was very knowledgeable and very helpful with the repair. He showed up on time, completed the work on schedule and for the quoted price. He also gave us pragmatic advice on whether or not to install a battery backup sump pump (the other reason we had called Fettes). (We elected not to.) All in all, the experience exceeded expectations.

When my wife connected the hose for the first time in the Spring I noticed that water was all over the floor inside next to where the water goes out to the spigot. I thought she had sprayed water in through the screen, but it turned out it was coming from under the floor boards. I called Fettes based upon the recommendations here. They set up an appointment with me about 4 days out. The plumber was on time, very knowledgeable and very efficient. The job was done in 1 hour. Along the way he explained everything he was doing for me and asked if I wanted a shut off valve installed. He cleaned up after himself well and told me about getting a little door to cover the hole in the dry wall that he needed to make and where the shutoff valve was placed. The only issue I had was that I did not get an estimate before the work was started and the plumber told me he did not handle the billing, so he did not know how much it was going to be. In the end, though, the price was reasonable.

The plumber quickly diagnosed the source of the leak and fixed it. He also made some recommendations regarding the faucet and handles that would reduce the likelihood of another leak. He gave some feedback on why my water pressure was low and what it would probably require to fix it.

I'm having seepage in the basement. I contacted them to get an estimate on routing out the pipes and providing an estimate to install a sump pump. They returned my calls promptly (within an hour) and came to look at the job when they said they would. They didn't feel they had the expertise to handle the job - which I appreciated the honesty.

When Frank returned, he completed the work in just 4 hours, and answered any questions I had. He cleaned up everything and took away the old toilet and lav with him. In a couple of weeks, I decided that the lavatory stands which we decided not to install, probably should be added, after all. Again they sent a man out Steve was very prompt, efficient and cleaned up after himself. This is a fine company that I can recommend without hesitation.. I ordered more work to be done in the kitchen. (((Notes:-----..Before he left the bathroom job, he detailed how to describe the work order needed for my kitchen repair and improvement, so that I could call the office when I was ready for that work to be done.)))

I was very pleased with their work. They were on time (early in fact!) and very professional. The plumber that installed the water heater did a great job and when we discovered we'd have to turn off the entire building's water to correct a pipe, he dealt with alerting neighbors, finding the main switch in a neighbor's apartment, etc. as I had to stay with my 18 month old son in our condo. He even called me after he left to make sure he'd returned the neighbor's key. I also liked that he explained to me what he was doing and the problems he ran into. He also alerted me to a problem with how the gas line was connected to the water heater and furnace that they are coming back to fix. Although it took longer than anticipated, the job was done well and I was very happy with their work.

Responded in a very prompt and professional manner on my first call, and made an appointment. Found a less expensive alternative to our original plans, which worked just fine. Suggested some other ideas to update the fixtures in the kitchen.

They were on time, quick and clean. Perfect!

They spent about 2 hours and had to go get a part and then they installed the part but the repairs didn't work. They had to send me a quote to install a new shower valve and trim. They said they would open the wall as necessary and the repairs would need to be made by others. It said on AL that they charged by the job but they charged by the hour instead. I thought this was unacceptable that they spent 2 hours and didn't know what they were doing.

They took a little longer than estimated on the phone. The quality of work was good. We had to call them back because one of the faucets was leaking. When I called about the leaking, they came out within 4 hours to fix the problem and now it is working fine. They were ahead of schedule for the first appointment and exactly on time the next visit. I thought the plumber was not as professional and wanted me to solve his parking issues while I was on the clock being charged and it took almost half an hour. He also didn't cover his shoes and laid equipment on my floor without laying any cover down first. He didn't have the arrival time and ending time on the worksheet, but he asked me to sign it anyway. When I received the bill I noticed that there was a discrepancy in the time, I asked for a break down of the charges and received it right away. They had no problem refunding me the amount that was overcharged.

The technician showed his ID when he came in which I asked for and they had no problem with that. They did a fabulous job. They were good and I haven't had a bit of trouble. I will continue.

I called Monday & the company had immediate appointment availabilities any day that same week. The plumber needed to first, find the right water valves in the building that shut off my condo tier. No one had that information on where to direct him. Mike found the shut offs in the building on first try. This is a very small cabinet space in which to work under the sink. But Mike was able to complete the job in just 2 hours. He was very prompt, efficient, neat, and he kept the area clean as he worked. I am very happy with the work performed and it seems like a new sink again.

Excellent, professional work. Called on a Tuesday, and these guys are so popular that the first opening was Thursday afternoon (3/28). The plumber showed up on time, answered all questions completely, and knew exactly what to do to solve the problems. The bill was sent two weeks later (4/12), so it gave us time to make sure that there was no recurrence of the problem before paying.
