The work was done well, but communication was a little fuzzy. There were long gaps between the initial visit and getting an estimate and the billing situation wasn't fully explained up front.

The guy who came out to do the work had no idea what job he was to do. He showed up asking what needed to be done. He had a general idea but didn't know about the shut off valves. I was originally quoted $1200 but extra shut off hoses had to be used.

I got this firm from Angie's List last February and was very happy with them then. The work was once again good. I had a discount coupon from your list and forgot to give it to the plumber. I called the company after he left and they honored the discount bringing the total to $435.

I called to make an appointment and spoke to John who could have somebody to our house the next day. The man was running late so he called to let me know, but then showed up only a few minutes late - but I appreciated the update. He replaced the seal on one toilet and did not have to take the whole tank apart as another person had said they would have to do. He even showed me how to do in case I had to replace any seals. (Subsequent to his visit I replaced a seal on another toilet which saved me a service call). He proceeded to check our other three toilets and adjusted the filler accordingly. He had no problem showing me what to do so I could try to troubleshoot any other problems. He also checked our main sink and flushed it out since we thought it seemed slow.

Professional, on time. They came back immediately and corrected a problem with the toilet.

The plumber arrived promptly within the 2 hour window given. He fixed the blocked drain, and then evaluated and corrected the setup of the dishwasher waste pipe, which had been left open by the builder years ago. He completed the job in under 1 1/2 hours, was courteous, and left the work area extremely clean. My experience with Fettes, Love & Sieben was great from start to finish.

I left a message to schedule an appointment & was called back 1st thing the next morning. Roger, (the plumber), arrived right on time when scheduled. He was very friendly & went to work 1st trying to repair my garbage disposal. When he couldn't fix it, (which I thought might be the case), he installed the new one I had already purchased. He then installed the 2 new bathroom sinks I had. Thoughtfully, he would check with me to make sure they were placed where I wanted, (centered or flushed against the wall, etc.). Things took a little longer than I expected, but I think he was very thorough & wanted to make sure the job was done correctly. I had also asked them to haul away my old sinks, since I live in the burbs & this would have required a special pick up. That wasn't a problem, which was a pleasant surprise.

Came out right away and got the job done.

The plumber replaced a cartridge in my tub faucet and the seal valve in my running toilet. Both problems were fixed! It was a little more expensive than I would have thought, but overall I was pleased.

They responded efficiently to my initial call. The plumber they sent, Roger, was great. He took time to figure out and explain everything very clearly so I really knew what I was paying for. He decided that some items did not need to be fixed and told me so. I trust him a lot and was happy to pay the fee and will always use this firm in the future.

The plumber, Steve, was a pleasure to work with. He tested the leak from the 3rd floor to the 2nd floor and fixed a crack in the drain of the tub.

They work quickly, they tell you what they are doing, they are professional, and they clean up well after themselves. They are honest about when they can't do something. We call them whenever we have plumbing issues.

I called to get an estimate for the work. They were on time however, did not really ask many questions or fully examine the scope of work to be done. A few days later, I received a letter in the mail with an estimate that was outrageous. We completely gutted a porch and added a laundry room and bathroom (including new plumbing and electrical) for only $2500 more that what they quoted for a simple bathroom plumbing project. I was stunned to say the least. Not only at the price but the fact that they never called to discuss this. The letter had 1 sentence as to what they were to do and a whole section as to what they were NOT going to do or be responsible for. Obviously if there was some misunderstanding as to the scope they would have known if they would have followed up but apparently they really didn't care. We got all the work done for $4000 and everything works perfectly.

Good, except the plumber placed something hot (I'm guessing) on my new toilet and melted part of it. Since it's the part that holds the lid, the lid now sits slightly crooked. Also, I didn't receive the Angie's list discount because it was a "contractor job."

They were fantastic. At first when they came they brought the hot water tank, which was dented. I called the next day and they came and looked and gave us $100 off. Their plumber, Art, was very personable and very knowledgeable in his job. The pricing was comparable to others I called.

The work was done well. I want to mention, too, that we did have a minor misunderstanding on the price for the work and Fettes, Love and Sieben was fair, prompt and evenhanded in working with us to resolve it. Often it's just as important to know how a vendor operates when things don't go quite as planned, and based on my positive experience in this regard, I would recommend these guys. They were entirely professional in resolving our concerns.

I heard about them through Angie's List. Even though it a was a small job, they didn't treat it as such. They actually had to come out twice. The first time they inspected and saw they needed a special part. They were friendly and despite having to come back, the charge was still very reasonable. They were helpful with suggestions and were helpful.

When I made my initial call I was referred to Mr Moses who after listening to my description sent Mr Gherke to assess the situation the very same day. Arrangements were made for the work to be done the next day. Everyone from the woman answering the phone, Mr Moses and Mr Gherke, and the men performing the work were polite, friendly and professional. They arrived a little early on the assigned day to do the work, removed the old heater, repiped the works to allow for placement of 2 heaters. They worked for most of a day and returned days later to put in a valve that had been back ordered. They cleaned up well and since they left we have had more that sufficient hot water and no problems with blending of hot into the cold water.

This work took 3 visits and lots of dirty work in a cramped dark crawl space. John was always prompt usually a few minutes early, was professional and courteous. He was very good at explaining the work being done. He was able to fix the inside workings of a toilet tank permanently that others had worked on many times before and I had been advised to replace by my handy man. Working with John was a very pleasant experience. The work occurred during the late spring of 2007 and the sewer smell has not returned. This was the second project that I had this company work on for me and I would definitely call them first for any other problem.

They were reasonably priced and I would definitely recommend them

During the home sale inspection, high moisture levels were identified in the shower floor indicating a potential leak. Fettes opened the wall behind the shower, assessed the problem and determined that the existing pan was improperly installed and required replacement to avoid a potential leak. A separate tile contractor was hired to remove the existing tile (recommended by Fettes), and expose the wood beneath. Fettes installed the new pan and drain, and then the tile contractor rebuilt the tile floor and wall.

The Fettes plumber was professional, efficient and right on time.

We set up an appointment a few days in advance for a plumber to come out & take a look at our broken kitchen disposal, and leaking faucet. I unexpectedly had to change the time for my appointment on short notice and they were very accommodating to my schedule. Our plumber arrived on time, as scheduled. He took a look at our disposal and did some work to diagnose what has stopped it from working. After only a few minutes he was able to get the disposal to start up, and begin to disloge what ended up being a small liquor glass which had fallen into the disposal. He got our disposal running again, and spared us the expense of purchasing a brand new unit (which we were prepared to do). After the disposal repair, our plumber spent about 15 more minutes diagnosing our faucet leak, and then replacing an O-ring to remedy the situation. Overall, we had a great experience. Everyone from the receptionist to our plumber was helpful, courteous and honest. I would call this company again, if needed.
