It took 2 visits. One to diagnose the problem, and the second to make the repair. I never met the technician, but my wife was present and said he was exceptionally courteous and polite. She thought he was really a "good guy". We'll use them again.

They did a very good job in overall. Plumber was late for the initial visit to assess issue but was early for the second visit to fix it. He was very professional, did a great job in fixing the issue, and was honest about everything. He was thorough and even gave some advice on a non-related issue that he noticed at my home. Although the work was a somewhat more complex than it usually would be, the price still seemed a little steep. Overall, high quality and professional work.

Very polite and business like. No fussing around just did his job. Mind you that my Dad who I take care of had nothing better to do then follow the poor guy everywhere he went. I felt bad for the guy who did not complain at all. I thought it would cost more then he charged. A great experience from beginning to end!

When was the last time you called any business and a real person picked up on the first ring? It happens here. I needed 3 visits to locate and take care of my main problem, the leak. All 3 times Jay arrived when promised. I was concerned not to destroy irreplacable tile work in my 1928 3-flat unless absolutely necessary. I asked many "what if" questions and if he thought I was a pain it didn't show. After losing part of the basement ceiling I offered to go clean it up, he had already done that. The work he performed looks first rate. I would recommend this company.

We've used this company for various plumbing jobs over the years--installation of bathroom fixtures, a garbage disposal, replacement of the wax seal of a toilet, etc.--always been great. They are always responsive, courteous, and do a professional job. They may cost a bit more, but you get what you pay for.

The represative arrived early fond the problem with very little to no damage to area and instead of doin unneeded work let me know that his services werent need and the promblem was small and even gave tip as too how to slove the problem an overall great exprience would reccommed to friends and family

Plumber arrived on time. He quickly & correctly diagnosed the problem as a faulty pipe. He fortunately had a replacement in his truck and fixed it right away. I have used them before and have always had terrific service. I especially like their professionalism and their high level of capability. They may charge a bit more per hour for labor, but it's worth it. They resolve problems effectively and efficiently.

When I noticed water on the basement floor under my bathroom, I knew I needed a really good plumber. The bathroom drain was original to my 60-year old house and it was heavy, galvanized pipe. I've tried several plumbers when I've needed service at my house for clearing drains and such. I usually spend some time talking to plumbers about other jobs that I'm thinking are needed and listening to their recommendations. The one other time I'd used Fettes Love & Sieben to fix a leaky pipe, the service person impressed me with his thoroughness and attention to detail, so I decided to call them for this problem. I was not disappointed. Roger arrived on schedule and spent an hour examining the drain, thinking/talking through the approach to fix it, and answering all my questions. Based on where and how the water was leaking (near the old drum trap, and after running the tub/shower), Roger found that it was caused by a small hole in the original galvanized drain pipe. We talked a little about the hassles of fixing aged plumbing, and I was impressed with Roger's confidence that the leaky pipe stems in my original lavatory sink could be fixed. (Another plumbing company had advised that I should be prepared to replace the fixtures -- and consequently the entire sink -- because it was difficult to fix leaky stems in such old plumbing. It was great to hear that I may be able to get them fixed without so much expense and hassle!) The stretch of pipe where the leak was located was six feet long, and installed very close to the floorboards. Roger explained that the section needed to be removed, and the obsolete style of trap would need to be pulled out and replaced, as well. He didn't have the necessary parts on his truck, so he would have the office call me the next day to schedule the work. I was told that there was no payment due that day and would be charged for the job when it was completed. The next day the office called me as promised and said that they could schedule another plumber to fix the leak right away, but that Roger was working on another job for the next few days. Since the leak could be avoided by me using the tub/shower in the second floor bathroom and I didn't want to risk that Roger's plan for replacing the pipe would get off track with a new plumber, I decided to wait and scheduled a day the following week when our schedules worked together. The pipe replacement went as planned and Roger made sure the drain was working well. When I mentioned that the lavatory sink drained slowly, he cleaned the pop up. Then I asked if he'd do the same for second floor tub/shower since I had noticed that drain was slow over the past week of me using it. Roger also cleaned that drain and made sure it was working well. The full bill was fair and reflected the time Roger had spent on the diagnostic visit, as well as the visit to do the repair. I'm also planning to schedule Fettes Love & Sieben to come back and fix the leaky lavatory sink stems before the end of the year. I like that the professionals I've dealt with through Fettes Love & Sieben seem to be true craftsmen who know a lot about plumbing and problem-solving, and that they are clear communicators.

Chuck, my favorite plumber guy arrived right on time. The basement floor was opened and the sewer line at the stack to the second floor was removed exposing large mass of tree roots that had filled both the main line and the branch to the stack. I have never seen anything this bad. This explaned why we kept having backups. The roots got in through bad joints in our 100 year old system so new pipes where installed along with a new clean out at the base of the stack. All of the sand/dirt that came out of the hole now went back in and the concreat floor was patched. It was an all day job, 7:30 to after 3. I thanked Chuck and his helper for a job well done and ran back in the house to flush the toilet. I have used FLS for other projects in the past, including replacing the main water line coming into the house. I have always been pleased with there work and I have and will recomend them to everybody I know. They are a little expencive but I get back quality workmanship, parts and a system that works the way it is supposed to.

Scott, the president of the company, met with me personally to discuss the project. As it was a large project, I got three bids from very reputable plumbing companies that I found here on Angie's list. The Fettes bid was the lowest, and the best designed plan. Eric was the foreman assigned to the pipe replacement. He treated our project with a level of personal commitment that was truly above and beyond the call of duty. He was able to answer all of my questions, and worked with me from start to finish to make sure the end product was exactly what I wanted. The actual pipe replacement was done with only two water shut-downs, limiting the inconvenience to our tenants. Other plans called for as many as 10 separate shut-downs. Once the project was complete, the company followed up to make sure we weren't having any problems. Our new plumbing supply system has eliminated all of the problems we've been experiencing over the last thirty years - leaks, corrosion, faulty valves, inability to isolate parts of the system for repair, hot water re-circulation problems, and the list went on. I couldn't be happier with the results, and I plan to use Fettes Love & Seiben for my future plumbing needs. I recommend them highly.

Once we located where the leak was coming from they came out and repaired the pipe and completed additional plumbing service. Chuck was very nice to deal with. I found the price to be very reasonable.

I have used Fettes Love and Seiben over the years several times and have always had good experiences. The office staff is professional, responsive and curteous and the plumbers are skilled. I highly recommend Fettes on a regular basis to friends and family.

They were very nice and very friendly. He basically left something open underneath my sink and it was totally pouring in and it was bad. He was cleaning out a grease trap and he didn't scrape high enough and so that messed up and then they came back. They were very good about coming back and fixing it but they messed up and it could have been a terrible mess. It wasn't a terrible mess but it could have been a bigger mess. There was leakage but we cleaned it up right away. Before they leave, just make sure you run the water and double check what they did before they leave.

These guys are real pros and very service-oriented. They are expensive but well worth the calibre of work and prompt, accurate scheduling.

I own a six flat apartment building. One of the pipes in the basement cracked and started leaking water on a Friday night. I called their answering service and explained I had an emergency and needed a plumber out right away. An hour went by with no response. I called the answering service back and was told that this company would not send a plumber out after regular business hours (Monday through Friday approximately 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) unless they had recently done work for me. I was not a recent customer so they would not come out. If this was their policy why didn't they have their answering service call me back and let me know? I wasted an hour waiting for them to call back. I dealt with them in the past and found them to be very professional. I am disappointed that no one returned my phone call. It was an emergency.

We do not recall the total cost of the service, but it was fairly priced. The service went very well. The plumber took time to explain the product he was installing and why particulars were needed - such as the venting on the hot water heater as our house has no chimney. He also inspected our sump pump to make sure it was working. He worked efficiently (they charge by time). The plumber also politely reminded us that we could unclog drains ourselves and showed me the particulars of the drain for future reference, which was appreciated. We have used this company in the past and will certainly continue to use them in the future.

Call back was prompt and scheduling met our timeframe. The problem was smaller than anticipated, the disruption was minimal, and the cost was affordable.

The plumber that came out was courteous, kind and professional. He corrected the problem and offered suggestions on how we could prevent it in the future. I will absolutely use Fettes Love & Seiben again!

Great experience. Prompt, professional, clean work areas. They were very clear in describing what they would be doing and the cost. The price might be higher than other plumbers, but the professionalism was well worth. Would definitely call and use again.

tech came out to rod out main sewer inline in our building, process went smooth no problems to speak of tech made sure that all the white mice were removed from the line. have used these guys several times and would so again. Price was reasonable, there very efficient.
