The experience was fantastic. They are very good. We had another two large windows done by a specialty company and we were not satisfied with the work that they did. We did a lot of interviews to get two more done. We weren't going to go back to the first one. Feldco did a better job with a better product than we had it done a year before. It was quicker and lesser cost. It looks much better. They knew what they were doing because the other guys were fumbling around. They were very good at addressing any issues we had.

From original appointment to installation, it was very smooth. Feldco was very accomodating. We had one weather interruption. Two man crew was on time. Put down tarp through out the house, removed blinds and re-installed them. They were extremely pleasant, answering all my questions and showed me special details of the windows. When they finished, they cleaned up inside and outside. They vacuumed every room where they worked They get a A in my book and I will rcommend them to my friends and neighbors. Everything went great, from the time we met with the salesman, all the way thru the install! We ordered the windows and then about a week later called them to add a screen door, they sent out someone to measure and I had the door the same time I got the windows! The installers showed up when I was told they would, I was informed of any issues they ran into with the install. It took about 3 days total. and when they finished everything was cleaned up! I would recommend Feldco any time!

That was just fine. For the price you get a good product.

They really good. We're pleased with their service. Their price is pretty fair. They're really nice. They got good workers. They cleaned up after the job. When they came out, the guy just left us with the estimate and the windows that we wanted. They came and took measurements again and said it will be about 4 weeks to have the windows done. We really wanted them to get done that time. But that worked out alright. The guys who came were a little conscientious about a few things but still pretty good.

During May their two for one window offer is all windows are $450.00. Ending in JUne all windows then jump to Around $760 per window. I dealt with their new office now open in Rockford IL.

The salesman was terribly pushy which was part of the reason we placed a deposit down with them. We were told the salesman would be here for about a hour. After three hours we needed to get him out of our home and the only way to do so seemed to be to place a deposit. He had effectively worn us down but who wouldn't be after so many hours? We had another company scheduled to come out a few days later with another estimate. To our surprise, despite Feldco only replacing our windows with inserts, (the wrong way to replace a window, not removing the part of the old windows that leak but rather a bandaid on the way the look, not the way they function), this other company, who will fully rebuild the frames to the windows, was $300 less expensive!!! $300 less expensive for not only proper window replacement but for a higher quality window! As if that was not insult enough, when we called Feldco to cancel our relatively low cost window replacement, (only 6 windows) suddenly the "low low cost" the salesman had originally was reduced by $1000 dollars!!! A thousand dollars on a $4 k window replacement job?!? I suppose they thought we'd be so pleased that the cost to us would now only be $3k but never considered that we may simply feel like this salesman, who was still making his cut off this deal I'm sure, had taken full advantage of us and almost had us down for an extremely expensive cheap window insert job. Needless to say, the calls from him now have been endless since our canceling, and we would expect nothing less given what all we've learned from this experience and who this company actually is. In short, they are a company to avoid at all costs and hope this review inclines even one person to not make the call to them as we did. Should you make that call for an estimate, be sure and clear your entire day out for the estimate because that's how long they will be at your home for! I can only imagine how long they would have been here for had we not given them a down payment. As I said before, we'd be happy to let them keep the deposit if it meant they would no longer call and harass us into going with them but that doesn't seem to be an option....we may end up simply putting a block on their phone number if the calls continue, however we never saw any of this coming from simply wanting to have new windows in our recently purchased home.

I thought from estimate to installation the experience was excellent. I walked in the the Rockford, IL office to make an appointment for the estimate. The windows and doors are very nice with a wide variety of colors and styles to choose from. Installation was fast and clean. All the employees were very professional. I could have spent a little less somewhere else but I thought the quality of the products and the quality of the installation was well worth it.

First impression is key when I am trusting a vendor in my home. However I could not get pass the phone call with the customer service individual. I called to schedule an appt for siding and doors. The young lady wanted to schedule with my husband and I . Unfortunately we have very tight schedules and I am the one that handles all projects and make all decisions on vendors. She refused to schedule an appointment with me without my husband, even when I told her I make all decisions regarding which vendor I will choose for my home projects...this is extremely unfortunate for this company. I make all decisions and I am planning to use another vendor that will respect that. Never will I call this company nor will I recommend this company to my family or friends.

Everything went really well.There was one small issue with some adhesive that got stepped on before it was dry. They came out six months later and fixed it without any fuss and only one phone call.

I chose to go with another company.

They were prompt and they had excellent workers. They aren’t the highest-end windows possible, but they function very well and are priced well. We now have double-pane windows instead of single pane and it made a huge difference in the effectiveness of our heating. They are affordable and very good. I believe they charged about 600 dollars a window for a double-paned gas filled window for higher E ratings installed. They ordered and got materials on time, did great installation and cleanup. Everything was excellent.

The initial installer from Feldco Windows Siding and Doors messed the doors up. He did a terrible job. But they came out again and did it perfect, without giving me any hassle. The supervisor came out and saw what went on and I had no trouble since then. They came and fixed it. They're perfect. I had gotten estimates from different companies and Feldco had the price and a two year payment plan without interest.

The job was scheduled to complete in 2 days, but took 3. There were two men scheduled for the job, they were on time each day. They worked non-stop. The workers were very friendly, neat and accomodating. I can certainly tell the difference with the installation, and I've noticed my gas bill has gone down. I will certainly recommend and request Felco's services in the future.

I called for an estimate for attic insulation. The rep overstated my square footage - he calculated 1519 sq feet... it is 1100 sq feet. he overstated the r value. He said I needed 17" total...turns out I only need 11" total. They gave me the paper to cancel. I had to drive to DesPlaines, when my rep came out of 99th and western. I could not cancel on the phone or on Western Ave. They cashed my check on 3/4/13. I cancelled on 3/5/13 and I won't see a check ISSUED until March 15th. They are keeping my money for almost 2 weeks. I felt like I was buying a used car. When I balked at the $3400 price, he called his manger...now, what's up with that? Either a price is a price or they take advantage of homeowners who really don't know the difference. I would NEVER call Feldco for ANYTHING. They can't be trusted. The price went from $3400 to $2500 in a three minute phone call. I am interested to see if this gets on Angie's website. I have a hard time believing that I am the only person that gave them a bad review.

I think anytime, a major renovation is done on a home, the client is apprehensive and wants to make sure the product will be reliable and cost effective. I received several quotes from other companies, asked my acquaintances and family members who had windows installed about their level of satisfaction, and finally decided on Feldco after my son reported what a good job they had done on their home.

Well it took longer than they said it would to get window, so when i called they said oh yeah it's been in the warehouse for a couple weeks. I made the appointment to install and then it got changed without contacting me called and they said they had to change, so sat around and waited for nothing.

Each step was handled by a professional and everything was done on schedule. I would definitely call Feldco again.

I had 1/2 the windows for are home put in the year before 7 of them it was a nightmare. I didn't know what a nightmare it was until we had Felco do the other 6. It was like night and day. The quality of the windows & professionalism of the crew was outstanding.

A two man team arrived as scheduled, unloaded replacement windows and installation equipment. Team laid down drop cloths inside the home around/under four specific work areas inside the home where debris may be expected, and in foot traffic areas. Work areas were roped off and warnings posted. Work began outside in one of the four work areas with removal of existing aluminum trim and the storm windows. Next came the part I didn't like and which I am not happy with, but I can't complain too much because I knew that was how it was to be accomplished. Removal of the outside window stop from the side and top outside window trim. The outside trim actually serves as a window stop, keeping the window from falling outward. Approximately one-half to three quarters of an inch strip was taken off of the trim using modern day tools, a hammer and a 15 to 18 inch screw driver/pry bar to split and pry the wood apart. Have you tried to trim or split wood this way? Needless to say, wood grain does not normally follow a neat strait line so edges are gagged and uneven. With the stops removed the upper sash, blind stop and lower sash was removed. The new doublehung window was placed in the opening against the inside stops, centered, leveled and secured. Insulation was stuffed into the openings around the window and frame, new 1 by 1(?), furring? strips were pin nailed in as outside stops for the new doublehung windows. Measurements were made for the new aluminum capping/trim pieces which were then cut, formed and pin nailed into place. All mating edges between window frame and siding trim were then caulked with a quality silicon caulk to eliminate air / moisture infiltration. This process continued for the remaining eight windows. After the windows were installed the team picked up and removed all debris, the old windows, drop cloths and other related items, and generally cleaned up their work areas. Nothing left for me to do! That is unusual. The crew was courteous and considerate throughout the entire process and finished and departed around 5PM. The windows and aluminum trim look great and have improved the appearance of the house. The windows work well. No problems with them so far. I no longer have air infiltration around the window sashes which should be saving me some heating dollars. Outdoor noise has been reduced. I don't need a ladder to remove storm windows or to wash/clean outside glass anymore. That's good! The windows appear to be of quality materials and construction. My concern: FELDCO needs to use truly modern day tools to perform the outside prep work. Light weight hand held rotary saws for removing the outside wood window stops would end the demolition like method used. Who will have to contend with the window frames as they now exist in the future? At what cost?

Salesperson timely, reduced price when I told him I had another contractor coming in the same day, just to save him the trip back. Bottom line is $6200 Feldco vs. $5200 another reputable Angies List provider + go pay $200 for replacement glass for one small window because this tiny window isn't worth the $1000 replacement pricetag. And the windows are replaced in total, not just slid into the existing window frame opening, as if it were new construction. Canceling w/in 3 days went ok, but read the fine print - they allow written cancellation by TELEGRAM. Lawyers have a field day with that one, I bet. It cost me $15 to send it overnight to remove any legal obligation to pay. The form doesn't acknowledge cancellations by e-mail or fax - get into this century please! Overall experience: sleazy.
