Feldco Windows Siding & Doors

What I liked about their windows is that there are two different stops on them, limiting the height the window can be opened. At night I don’t like my windows to be open very wide. During the day I want them open a little bit farther. I tried to get them to put a second stop for the slightly open position on the opposite side; they couldn’t do that. It would have required greater strength to get the window open and it would have provided greater security.

Had a very friendly and helpful sales person Jim. I was the only one that had to be there, my husband was at work. I had a special capping done that makes the windows look very finished. At first the installer was not aware of the special capping and I know that it takes a lot longer to do than the basic capping, so he would have preferred not to do it. But the installer realized that I really wanted the special capping and his main goal he said is to make the customer happy. My old windows were all wood and had some areas that had issue with rotten wood, they cut and replaced the rotten areas. My husband and I love our new windows and the special capping make them look very nice. We are completely satisfied.

Our Feldco representative showed up about 20 minutes early for our 6:30 appointment - I suppose it was better to be early than late, however his arrival completely disrupted our families dinner and resulted in an unusually chaotic evening w/our children. Regardless, he was very personable, calling us by first name and was very pleasant in describing the ONE window Feldco has to offer along w/describing their entry door. After he rambled on for over an hour, I finally requested he give us a quote, as it was getting late. At this point, our meeting went downhill. He gave us no itemization, only bulk numbers and when I told him I needed to talk to my husband about the quote, he literally gave me a nasty look, as if I was just supposed to whip out my checkbook and write him a check w/out discussing an extremely COSTLY and IMPORTANT purchase with my spouse. I confronted him asking why he gave me a dirty look and he laughed at me and then apologized. Now, when I asked him for financing options, he didn't work up any #'s for me, he only told me the percentage at what we were being charged and how many months we had to pay. This guy seriously acted as though people just write checks or pay cash for such a large purchase w/out hesitation. I'm sure people do, but surely not everyone, especially a middle class working family - come on! All that aside, the door quote he gave us was ridiculous. $2500 for a back door that leads to our garage - a back door and a storm door. Had this numnutz taken a moment to MEASURE the doorway, he would have realized our concrete staircase was too close to the door, so a storm door wouldn't have even been possible as it wouldn't have opened all the way. I found this out after calling another person who was obviously much more experienced (small local company w/A+ ratings on Angie's List). He stated this quote was so high, because in order to guarantee us a lifetime warranty on the door, they would have to reframe completely. We didn't want a lifetime guarantee though, we just need a new door! He gave us no option at all. After he left, I'm being conservative to say I was rather irate. My husband went through the house and peeled off all the stickers he stuck to our windows, as if he was a dog marking his territory - why the stickers?? I don't get that. Whatever. The rep also requested we contact him by Friday to let him know whether or not we were going to go w/Feldco and he requested Friday because he was going on vacation that weekend and wanted to know prior to his departure. A couple of days after we told him no, he were contacted by customer service which then asked us several questions on why we did not choose to go w/them. I was honest - I told them their door quote was insane and that their rep was ignorant. The CS rep asked me if the salesman had showed us 2 different kinds of windows or only 1. Uhh, he told us Feldco only offers ONE type of window, not TWO, so he lied to us. This got me thinking, so I went online to verify their A rating w/the BBB the salesman so excitedly described to us AND SHOWED US ON PAPER, and they do NOT have an A rating, they have an F rating and aren't even accredited w/the BBB. Oh, and he also lied about being out in our area all the time and having customers all around us. On his paperwork where he worked up our non-itemized ridiculous quote, he spelled the name of our city wrong. Really? Maybe our experience would have been much better had they sent out a different rep who actually cared about his customers and respected us as people who were trying to make a decision together as a family. Maybe. But that F rating w/the BBB tells me otherwise. I'm glad we called out a different company - true eye opener to how a GOOD company is supposed to treat their customers. I will never EVER call this company out to my home again.

It went pretty good. The guys who installed it were really good. They did a really good job.

I had issues with this company. Our overall experience is not good and we will not use them again in the future.

Salesman who came to give us our quote was really helpful. We were told the installers would arrive between 8am and 12pm, which is a pretty large time span in it self, but they showed up at 7:20am. So we weren't quite ready for them, my husband was still sleeping and I was in the shower. So that made us feel kind of rushed. But once they started working they got everything done pretty fast and were out by 11:30am. Any issues we had, they fixed quickly without argument or question, which I very much appreciated. All in all, we had a great experience and our windows look great. Now we just wait for the true test, winter :)

It was done according to schedule and looks and works beautiful. Only complaint is that it was rather pricey!

I also used them several years prior to put in 2 other windows. I liked it that for a couple of years they were fine; and the cost was good. However the windows are cr*p. After a couple of years there are problems; there is condensation between the double panes and I have had them out twice. Each time they come out, even though the windows are under warranty, there is a fee like $50 or $100; something like that. They have had to replace the windows twice, and they are still bad. I have a new window company; I just went with Feldco because they were cheap; but they are not good windows. They are not horrible windows; I can live with condensation but there is condensation there; they have to keep coming out and the condensation is still there.

I ended up talking to six window companies. Five were nice and respectful, and then there was Feldco. The salesman came by and acted "shocked" that I wanted to get some other bids before making a decision. He must have told me 5 times that "I can only guarantee this price if you buy today." NO OTHER COMPANY TOLD ME ANY SUCH THING! They weren't the best price, there were by far the rudest at the estimate meeting, and from what I read on Angie's list, their quality is just OK. So if you love high pressure, in your face sales tactics, then this is the company for you.

Feldco Windows Siding and Doors are definitely professional, have quality products, and competitive pricing wise. The quality was good.

Feldco did an exceptional job from start to finish. My only complaints are the sales pitch takes too long and I've received several phone calls from them since the job was completed to compete a survey. Everything else, I was very pleased with.

I had contacted this company for an written estimate; for insurance purposes. The salesman was more concerned about if I had received my insurance check and was unable to give an estimate unless i had received it. He also stated to be that if the company went around giving written estimates they would go bankrupt. Just that little conversation coming from the sales person made me feel like they wanted to give me a price base on my check. I have received service from this company before and I wanted to give them my business first before I went anywhere else so I talked to a manager about the situation he tried to explain to me why he said it, but it still seemed like the same thing. Regardless if i had an insurance check or not what did it have to do with me asking for a written estimate. The manager also told me that the job might be too small and there could be a chance of me getting overcharged and they could not do it. I was really disappointed cause I had the company the install windows in my home years ago and was looking for them to do new windows next year. But with the conversation regarding by siding getting replace; they made me feel uncomfortable about giving them my business for anything else.

The day the windows were installed it was snowing. The first window installed was in a upstairs bedroom located in the front of my house above my Front door awning roof. This was on a Friday. The window installers arrived in the morning. I notice that it was taking an extremely long time for them to install the first window. After a spending a few hours trying to install the first window with no success, two other men arrived unannounced. As they were walking around upstairs, I asked if there was a problem. One of the men said no, however, they had a new installation process and they needed to show the installers how to do the new process. I mentioned to the two men that the process they describe was not the process describe by the sales person. Additionally, I stated that the salesperson did not even mention anything about a new process. I also stated that the salesperson had stated that they would need to replace the wood where windows were placed and I would need to paint this wood. One of the men said that the new process eliminates the need to replace any wood. I believe they spent almost a 1/2 day on the first window and installed three other windows before nightfall. The next morning, on Saturday, the workers came back to finish installing the last two windows. During the second day of installation it rained. However, on Sunday morning as I was driving out of the garage I noticed that the first installed window was completely covered over with ice. It looked really strange since this never happen with my old window s and this was the only window installed during the two days period hat was completely covered in ice. I went upstairs to see if there was ice inside the window. I found ice inside the window well and frozen to the screen. My husband and I left on Monday to go out of town for a week.. When we returned the following week, my husband notice water damage on ceiling and wall inside the house directly over the front door, where the first window was installed. Since this had never happen before I believed that this damage had something to do with the first window installation that had taken a really long time to installed. This was also the window that had froze over. The customer service representative from Feldco called to follow-up on the service and I told her about the water damage I believed was caused by the window installation or workers. She was very nice and stated that she would send someone out to inspect. After figuring out a schedule that was convenient when my husband or I would be in town, I believed the inspectors came out sometime in March. Two men came out and I believed one was in training. I explained to the inspectors the problem with first window installation and how the first window froze over and showed them them the water damage inside the house on the ceiling and wall over the front door. The inspectors inspected the window from inside and outside. They then inspected the roof underneath the window and over the front door. They then asked how old the roof was. I told them the roof was replaced about 5 years ago. The inspector concluded that the window was installed properly, and that the problem was the roof. They stated that the roofing company had done something wrong when the roof was replaced 5 years ago and that caused the damage. I told him that I had never had a problem with the old window freezing over, or any problems with roof or any water damage ever until the Feldco workers installed the new window. The lead inspector then said he would file his report. They did not tell me what the next steps would be. I thought that someone would call me to discuss the report or to follow up. I never heard back from anyone regarding the complaint. However, ironically, I did have a salesperson contact me to sale me additional windows for my house! Problem is still unresolved. Rep come out and took pictures and indicated the problem was with my roof. I have never had a problem with my roof. Rep did not offer anything more to resolve the issue. I would still to receive a credit for the water damage.

We contacted Feldco on the internet. They called the very next day and set up a date and time for the salesman to come out. The salesman was very honest with us and even told us we could get windows cheaper however the quality would not be there. We loved all the features of these windows and was pleased with the price they gave us. We really expected it to cost more with all the work that would have to be done to replace aluminum windows. They would have to add a piece of 2x4 in all the double windows. We have a big window on the short side of our house and with our old windows our living room always got about 5 degrees warmer than the rest of the house. They showed us with a heat lamp through the glass you could not feel the heat. We decide to get them all replaced by this company. A couple days later another guy came out to do the final measurement for our windows. We was told it would probably take about 6 weeks for the windows to come in. They came in around 3 weeks. They were very flexible with us to set up a couple days for them to come out and install them. The installers were very nice and knowledgable gentlemen. They were very hard workers that were focused on the job. They had the 14 windows in our ranch style house done in one day. It was not a hurry up job as they look great inside and out. All we have to do is paint or stain the inside trim. The next day it got up to 85 outside and with our old windows it would have been a little over 90 but with the new windows it was 75 exactly what our air conditioner was set on. These windows are well worth the money!!!!! I would recommend Feldco to everyone that want good windows installed in there home. Great, smooth, process from the start to finish.

We contacted Feldco because we needed to replace some or all of the 25 windows in our house. I was looking for someone to identify which windows needed replacement and then give us a quote. Feldco told us they would not be able to tell us which windows needed replacement - they only replace windows and not do an assessment on the current condition. We are going with another contactor who was more than willing to look over our windows and come up with a quote for just those that needed replacement.

They were awesome. From the salesman to the installers, they were great and I would definitely use them again.

The guy came out to measure within a week, the windows were ordered and about 2 weeks later they came and installed the windows. The workers arrived on time, worked quickly, and cleaned up before leaving.

.The salesman was outstanding who made you feel confident about the company. The guys that did the work did a wonderful job and never stopped working while they here. They came back two extra times to do some repairs on the door frames.

The salesman came out to discuss the product and gave us an estimate. Another person came out to measure about a week later. We went ahead and ordered from Feldco. It took 2-3 weeks for the windows to come in and we had them installed right before the holidays. It took two days for the install. The installers knew what they were doing and took care with our home. They also removed all our old windows for us.

We priced window and doors and Feldco had the quality and windows we wanted. We got the stainable interior doublehung. We used the prices from 4 companys. We wanted insulated 7" siding and out of 3 companys Feldco was around 5% cheaper. We hired Feldco for both jobs even though they were a little bit higher on the door price. We are however pleased with our new door. They replaced our door and windows first. About 2 weeks before the siding crew got there. They sent 1 man. He replaced them all in a day. Very professional, replaced some rotting wood under our door with no additional charge. The siding had been scheduled 6 weeks out and they missed that start date by 3 days. We had a lot of rain in the previous month so that was explainable. We wanted to be here when the work was being done and had a trip scheduled so they sent 4 men {2 crews} to do the job. Job looks great, they cleaned up very well. Our house is much warmer and we have eliminated most of the drafts. Windows and door are very tight. We had them wrap the house in Tyvec.It is not something they normally do but we are glad we paid the extra. Our salesman {Denny} was helpful and promptly answered all questions and concerns from beginning to end.

They did a good job and I am very happy with their services. They were very professional and reasonably priced. They responded within a couple days. They made the windows themselves and I am very happy with them.

It took a lot longer than we were told. Our sales person was very nice, helpful, and understood just exactly what we wanted. He took a lot of time explaining the different styles and options available to us. My husband placed the order and was told we should have our door set in 4 weeks or 6 weeks at the most. We were glad to hear it wouldn't take too long since you could see daylight coming in around our old door, and with the cold weather coming we knew it was going to get chilly in our house. A few days later a person came to measure the door opening who was also nice and answered some more questions we had. Now, we are patient people, but when more than 8 weeks passed from the time we had the door opening measured (and it was getting cold in our house), I called and literally got an "oops!" from the person on the phone. Apparently our door set had come in and had been resting comfortably in the warehouse. It would take another two weeks before we could get an appointment for someone to come and install the doors. Then a day before the installation a phone call came telling us our installation would need to be delayed because the installers truck had "blown up". Geeze, we began to wonder if we would ever see these doors! But lo and behold when the installer, Frank, came a week later he was super nice, professional, and did a GREAT job. It took almost 3 months to get our doors, but my Christmas wreath sure looks nice hanging there and we aren't cold anymore. (Dear Feldco, Just so you know, my husband's name is on our sales contract, which is different from mine, but we are at the same address.)

We were searching to kind of see what was in the area. With the windows and doors, we did look around and we did like Feldco for those. We would use the company again in the future.
